I dropped from Crystal 1/2 down to Gold 1/2 and have been destroying bases, getting about 3 million resources every two hours with boosted barracks, using nothing but archers/barbs/gobs

i stay around gold 1-2. how many times to you have to skip bases before you find one that has good resources? sometimes it takes forever.

I will skip 30-40 bases till I find one that has 200,000+ gold and elixir. I usually look for bases where the majority of the loot is in the collectors/mines outside the walls.

^ thats the key to getting loot. you have to be patient. Usually on a good night it will turn up a base with all the resources in collectors along the parameter (most likely these are abandoned bases). I use a combination of barbs, archers and goblins. I try to take out all the collectors plus enough other building to get me to 50%. Sometimes if you lucky the townhall will be unprotected.

I'll either churn out barbarians in two barracks and archers in the other two and roll with whatever comes out, or I'll add minions to the mix. With the latter, a million or more in both gold and elixir is reasonable in less than an hour of messing around.

back when clan wars first started we (TBH) lost two (in a row i think...) by 1 star. should have won this one but we had several ppl ghost on their second attacks, and several attacks were botched, mine included

Was he kicked? I think he has to wait 24 hours before he can re-request. If you can still see where he was kicked in the clan chat area, click on his name, click on his profile and then invite from there.

Wizard 6 is a thing to behold. I attacked a base around 2800 trophies with 60 wizards just to see what would happen and actually won the raid. I tried the same with 20 level 2 witches and only got 47 percent; 120 level 6 minions got me about 40 percent, I think. (I have reached the point where I am bored and screwing around with odd armies for shits and giggles.)

So after multiple wars at TH7, going with giants, a couple healers, some wizards and archers, I've determined that 10 dragons (plus one in the CC if you can) and 3 rage spells is by far the best CW attack layout for a TH7 attacking another TH7. Only downside is it costs 250k elixir and about 5 hours if only one of your Barracks is high enough for Dragons.

After some experimenting, I've been most successful with 15 Giants, 6 Wall Breakers, 3 Healers, 15 Wizards, and 1 Archer for 87,120 elixer (all still lvl 3). I've been 2 starring most TH7 bases that are about halfway built and resource collecting quite successfully... I can't wait until I get those Level 4 units under way!

What kind of spells? Do you use wizards to get rid of the CC troops?

The thing about running 10 dragons (and I've only got level 1 dragons) is you don't even have to worry about CC troops because the dragons will just take them out.

Giants + Healers (and some WBs, Archers, Wizards) is good but I'd find my CW base that I stole from youtube getting 1 or 2 starred by similar attacks, and 3 starred by dragon attacks. So I've started doing that now. Got 3 stars on my first battle this war with that tactic and it only took about 1 minute 40 seconds.

I have 4 huts now. Got my 4th one just before i finished my th7. Its so nice having 4... I do use my wiz to kill cc troops. And 2 healing spells... Need to upgrade so I can have a 3rd rage spell.

we got matched with a clan that has 2,000+ more trophies than us and 10 more wars won. Even their TH8s have skull walls.

trophies aren't weighed into the matchmaking alorithm.

its based on each participants upgrades - structures and troops.

I dropped down to about 100 trophies just for LOL's. Then in about 10 minutes, got attacked 10 times, won all of the defenses, and am back to 284 trophies. I have a "troll" base with an opening right beside my TH. But it's full of bombs, spring traps, teslas, etc. Makes for some hilarious replays.

I've got a 12-year-old in my clan trying to tell me how to play. He's two town halls and about 1000 trophies below me and keeps saying stuff like, "I thought I told you to stay in Crystal 1 and farm."

We just started a war, or I'd boot him now. Irritating little turd. He's on borrowed time.
