Grinnage should sue this mother fucker for lost wages
12/31/2015 12:51:46 AM
He was scrambling for his life most of the game... i don't think this loss was on him.
12/31/2015 9:14:02 AM
His first throw was a pick that pretty much gave MSU all the momentum.
12/31/2015 9:29:10 AM
can't blame this game on him. their lines were better than ours.
12/31/2015 9:30:33 AM
Not sure anyone is blaming the game on him. But it still holds true that he's not a good player.
12/31/2015 9:33:19 AM
I'd argue that he's an above average college quarterback. Is he great, or even really good? Not overall, although he had some great games. It could have been a lot worse (see two seasons ago).[Edited on December 31, 2015 at 9:56 AM. Reason : ]
12/31/2015 9:56:21 AM
Sure it could of been worse. But I can't put him at average. he's too scared to throw, and he can't throw it accurately. Anything over 10 yards is a prayer for him.

Threw a TD in the North South game/Senior Bowl today.
1/30/2016 7:52:52 PM
catapulted to a 3rd round prospect. Word is that the Cardinals and Cowboys are big on Jacoby
1/31/2016 9:56:49 AM
He was like 5/6 for 50 yds. I recorded it & watched the 1st 3 quarters but he hasn't played. 4th quater = 4th best QB. As an aside, I think it's the week of practice where the meet/talk to coaches & scouts that means more than the game. Jason Garrett coached one team, the north I think, so if ^ is right, he must have looked good all week which contradicts him playing 4th, so you go figure???
1/31/2016 11:40:05 AM
The cowboys website has an old scout who writes columns now. He keeps talking about Jacoby being a good project. I just don't see it after the last two years but hope he proves me wrong.

JB measured in at 6-4 231 & ran a 4.94 40.Conversely, Tuney measured in at 6-4 304 & ran a 4.86 40Just watched JB throw a little. He threw 3 10 & outs to the right sideline & went 3 for 3. Kurt Warner on his combine performance: "I don't know a lot about Brissett but I like what I've seen with his understanding of... I haven't seen him throw one ball that's 100 mph but he's got a nice touch, plenty of velocity on his balls & does a nice job of allowing his receivers to adjust"Other guy on his tape:"To many takes, to many sacks directly attributable to a lack of anticipation but he makes every throw and he's somebody I'd like to look at as a midround developmental guy"[Edited on February 27, 2016 at 11:25 AM. Thuney ran a 4.95 per NFL.com (second fastest for an OL) but still, that's pretty turrible for brisket
2/27/2016 11:19:49 AM
^i I got my numbers from an ncstate website.
2/27/2016 11:26:31 AM
Holy slow...I wonder what a true dual threat guy would have done in our system then considering how much he ran.

Lol alex smith is way more athleticI have him as best case Matt Sanchez, worst case Logan Thomas
2/28/2016 12:03:40 PM
The folks on the nfl.com's combine site compaired him to crab-boy:
2/28/2016 12:57:15 PM
who the fuck is Matt Sanchez

dude is rolling around in a bad ass range rover so he must be doing something right. 4 NCSU qb's in the league?!

QB U
4/21/2016 1:45:58 PM
Projected by different sights as a likely 6th rd pick. Whats a 6th rd QB get? No QB went in the 6th round in 2015, but Tajh Boyd went in the 6th in 2014 and his rookie deal was worth "$2.3 million on his first four-years , including a $78,680 signing bonus.Only the signing bonus is fully guaranteed up-front, but if the rookie stays on the Jets' roster, Boyd's 2014 salary is $420,000, rising each ensuing season to $510,000, $600,000 and $690,000 in 2017 if he remains active. "So ya, range rover
4/21/2016 1:57:31 PM
He was also cut before he got any of that (besides the signing bonus)
4/21/2016 4:01:04 PM
4/21/2016 4:36:40 PM
with all these qbs going early though, 1&2 pick, you gotta think that raises his value now.
4/21/2016 5:43:06 PM
not really. he's still probably a 3rd round pick at best.most everyone has him rated behind cook and lynch, but ahead of the rest. except morons who love shit-ass hackenberg. (IM LOOKING AT YOU MEL KIPER)]

ESPN is now providing an open bar for employees:http://espn.go.com/nfl/draft2016/story/_/id/15290519/ranking-top-100-players-available-2016-nfl-draftJB listed as 60th best player in draft
4/23/2016 9:16:22 PM
Where he at?
4/29/2016 10:27:02 PM
To the Pats
4/29/2016 11:07:28 PM
Day 1 starter during Brady's suspension?
4/30/2016 11:18:03 AM
Garoppolo. But his contract runs out in 2017. He could be heir to the cheatriot throne.Or just another Brady backup that cashes in on free agency.
4/30/2016 12:12:14 PM
Happy for Brissett. Dude isn't ever going to be a regular starter so landing on the Pats where he can hide behind a superstar and collect paychecks is a great gig. If he can stick around for 4-5 years, I'd consider that a great outcome given his lack of accuracy and pocket presence. Maybe Jeanine Garafalo gets hurt in the preseason and suddenly Brissett is battling some washed up veteran FA to be the week 1 starter. That would be epic because fuck the Pats.
4/30/2016 8:51:56 PM
The pats usually only carry 2 qb so this makes sense.. backup for weeks 1-4 then they could throw him on practice squad to give him a year to show anything. Be interesting to see if belichick has any alternate uses for himI don't see him as an nfl qb but we had so little talent and our system maybe didn't allow him to flourish as a passer.I predict 0 career nfl attempts but i wouldn't be shocked if he gets a few. 0 starts though. Then again none of us really thought he'd get picked this high if we hadnt seen the rankings im sure. Something doesn't add up

4/30/2016 9:02:14 PM
will not hire an agent. will negotiate his own contract. interesting.
5/6/2016 12:23:41 PM
Why pay an agent 3% to negotiate what is essentially a predetermined contract? The way rookie contracts are now, there's not much an agent could do that Brissett can't on his own ( especially with advisement from Parcells).
5/6/2016 1:48:44 PM
Really don't see how he has anywhere near the accuracy to be an NFL QB
5/7/2016 4:44:17 PM
his advanced accuracy expertmetrics show he had a 142 while all other senior D-1 quarterbacks averaged a 127accuracy was never his problem
5/7/2016 7:22:43 PM
5/9/2016 10:55:40 AM
How much difference does it make that the Pats picked him instead of a team like the Browns, Raiders, Jags etc...
5/9/2016 11:09:01 AM
^^And yet still better than Christian Hackenberg.[Edited on May 9, 2016 at 11:28 AM. Reason : Who has the 5th worst qbase of all time.]
5/9/2016 11:27:17 AM
^^in terms of how the pick is viewed? yeah it makes a lot of difference. the Pats have earned the benefit of the doubt over the years and i definitely think that if the browns had drafted Jacoby there'd be a lotta people laughing at the Browns and we'd all be saying "poor Jacoby".
5/9/2016 11:55:15 AM
The Pats have made some god awful QB picks before, Kevin OConnell comes to mind - he was basically a poor man's Jake Locker, which is really saying something.
5/9/2016 12:37:47 PM
^sure. but the Pats have been so successful (and have gotten some back up QBs paid) over the years that i think when it comes to drafting and free agency, people give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they are gonna get it right.
5/9/2016 1:42:28 PM
Yeah New England has had some shitty qb picks post-Brady.
