This trailer is basically a Marketing team gone wild trying to overshadow the Civil War teaser. I also strongly disliked the BvS teaser released a few days ago, and I could not imagine why anyone was a fan of it as it was clearly a dream sequence and trying to build false expectations. This trailer should have been given a lot more effort. The original teaser was so much better than either of these. All of my caution related to Civil War has now been very much abated. (Learning that it actually does deal with superhero registration was the main reason, though).

Civil war seems like a smaller but better movie than ultron BvS etc. BvS comes across as big but as worse. But all we have are these trailers. They could all be good
12/3/2015 8:02:28 PM
After that trailer, i feel like I've seen the movie.
12/4/2015 8:38:58 AM
I really really hope that this does not turn into Spidey 3
12/4/2015 9:23:02 AM
So the blonde guy is Joker?
12/4/2015 9:25:50 AM
He is Lex Luther (Jr.), but he is acting like the Riddler.
12/4/2015 9:34:50 AM
He has a public persona and a private persona?Same a Batman and Superman
12/4/2015 9:47:42 AM
Jesse Eisenberg is not blonde. But he dyed his hair...
12/4/2015 10:02:46 AM
It's a wig, you can tell by the pixels
12/4/2015 10:30:44 AM
I like his acting. At first glance, I was wondering: Why does Mark Zurckerburg become a blonde?
12/4/2015 10:50:05 AM
12/4/2015 11:05:04 AM
It is a wig. And it might be a wig in the movie. He probably has a bald head. The hair is either a wig for normal reasons, or his work in BvS makes him go bald. And psycho. It also looks like Luthor created Doomsday out of Zod's body in a Frankenstein homage. Lame.[Edited on December 4, 2015 at 11:08 AM. Reason : Lame Homagesesesesee]

Yeah, but I like it. People don't realize that Superman is kind of tough for screen writers because he is basically a god meddling in our mortal lives. So, having Kent being fallible every once in a while makes the overall character more interesting IMO.[Edited on December 4, 2015 at 5:39 PM. Reason : dp]

holy shit balls. That first fight scene.
2/11/2016 11:20:43 AM
To me, that looked awesome, to me.
2/11/2016 11:50:19 AM
lol at the look on Supe's face when Batman blocks his punch. Also, I had no idea Jeremy Irons was playing Alfred. I am excite.

Agreed on that batman fight scene to open up. That was awesome.[Edited on February 11, 2016 at 6:58 PM. Reason : X]

Batman doesn't kill his enemies. They simply die from their injuries sustained while coincidentally fighting Batman.[Edited on February 11, 2016 at 11:30 PM. Reason : ]

I still can't stand this is a direct sequel to Man of steel. But whatever So Doomsday is a one note character. Well his character is known for one thing. Just like Bane is known for breaking batman's back. Doomsday is known for know killing superman. So it's total waste of his character if he doesn't kill superman. Soooo..? They could just used Zombie Zod and referred him as such Batman fights Superman numerous times. Not a problem but he usually has kryptonite on him because....duh. So just going in with a metal suit and anger seems foolish on Batmans part unless they make up some shit. (Oh look the metal suit is as strong as Superman because why not)Jesses what's his face doesn't bother me. His cheesy lines might.
2/13/2016 9:07:30 PM
They did an IGN rewind on the trailer, which showed Supes catching what he thought was a bullet, but appears to be a ball of kryptonite, hence the ability to block his punch. The suit I think is more so he doesn't get knocked the fuck out immediately.
2/13/2016 11:03:41 PM
The suit is exactly that. Give him time to get the kryptonite working.Man of Steel was amazing. And the fact that they can use the fallout to lead into the conflict between them is awesome!
2/13/2016 11:43:04 PM
I thought the armored suit was kind of silly on Batman's part too if it came to just a one on one fight, so maybe he is wearing it for some other reason? Superman would be able to rip/laser eye through that armor in a nanosecond if he wanted to so ultimately it would just end up slowing Batman down. Maybe Batman somehow incorporated kryptonite into the suit so that Superman couldn't just laser him from a distance or something. Or maybe it's because he was expecting various goons to be taking shots at him earlier on so he wanted to be a little bit more "bullet proof".
2/14/2016 2:18:23 AM
He knows superman won't kill him. So he wouldn't use his eye laser things. It's so he can take a hit and not get obliterated. https://youtu.be/cQYmDcNCGKs
2/14/2016 2:14:06 PM
Doesn't batman have the same rule? Or is that just against humans?
2/14/2016 4:49:45 PM
Any chance that he mixes some kryptonite in with the suit? (obvious non-comic book follower question...but they always change shit in movies)
2/15/2016 7:49:26 AM
Yeah so batman in the comics always has kryptonite on him (red kryptonite really). So yeah he can have it in his suit. I just want to know how in the movies does he gets it. Actually It doesn't even matter because according to the trailer Doomsday shows up and they stop fighting and Doomsday doesn't need kryptonite to kill Superman. Kryptonite is known to weaken superman in advance well before he fights batman. And this is a direct sequel to man of steel. Where the hell does he get the unknown kryptonite from ? This movie is doing a lot. God bless it.

Am I gonna be lost if I didn't see Man of Steel? I hate Superman but I'll watch the stupid thing if it's going to make a big difference in my BvS viewing.
2/19/2016 11:16:46 AM
^ you could probably pick up everything you need to know from Man of Steel from the BvS trailer (Superman and Zod fight in Metropolis, destroy half the city, people die, Bruce/Lex/Holly Hunter hold Superman responsible, and Lex has Zod's body)Man of Steel is barely a Superman movie, so if that's your argument for not watching it, you don't need to worry about it
2/19/2016 12:04:59 PM
Man of Steel really wasn't good. I'd skip it.

Man of Steel is awesomeI cant cross that lineI WONT CROSS THAT LINE!

I'd say good to great.I can see where some folk will love it. It just took a bit too long to click for me. I'm going again on Thursday and hope that now that I know the direction, I'll enjoy the first and second acts much more.

Zach Snyder just doesn't make great movies. He does mood and atmosphere. He does special effects. He does costumes. But he leans on all of that stuff way too much. If you're looking for a visionary type to bring the DCU together, just not the guy I'd envision going after.[Edited on March 22, 2016 at 9:22 PM. Reason : Oops]

ugh this is going to be a shit show
3/23/2016 9:48:12 AM
I read one review that described the movie as "not fun." I think that's accurate.Marvel does a fine job making fun movies, or movies with fun moments; it's obvious that DC isn't interested in that.
3/23/2016 10:05:42 AM
DC is trying to create an extended movie universe like Marvel, but instead of starting with the proper tie-in movies building up to a larger movie (i.e. IM, Hulk, CA, Thor), they immediately jumped into their equivalent of The Avengers. Except this is more like Avengers 2 (which I did not really care for) where they shove way too much into the movie. . . except its also not fun.
3/23/2016 3:20:01 PM
the strategy isnt bad, its just difficult to pull off.Zach Synder just isnt a good story teller.More detailed review no spoilershttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=olwUct0o8mY
3/23/2016 3:38:09 PM
^^They tried, but the Superman movie kinda fell flat, whereas the first real Marvel movie, IM, went gangbusters at the theater. I realize you could include Hulk, but I don't. I seriously doubt Wonder Woman could bring in enough people for a solo movie. There are already too many Batman movies to try to tie in to this particular DC universe. So who does that leave?
3/23/2016 10:34:44 PM
^Yeah although the Dark Knight movies were great they kind of flooded things with Batman solo movies for a while. We've seen Batman's origin a thousand times on screen so another one is just not necessary.I think the Flash would work as a great solo movie but he isn't nearly as recognized as Batman and Superman. If Green Lantern had been a success, they prob would have kept that franchise going with its cast, but, yeah, it sucked. I think they have the right idea with Suicide Squad though, since its primary cast is fairly unknown to the casual moviegoer.
3/24/2016 10:10:55 AM
I think Flash would work now because the CW series has been such a big hit. But when WB was mapping out the DCU, I don't know that they knew Flash would become such a popular character. After thinking on this movie for a few days, I still stand by my remarks. It was a good movie that could have been great if it had a bit more levity. The screenwriter, Chris Terrio, has gone on record to say that Justice League will be "will be tonally not quite as dark" as BvS. Suicide Squad looks like it's going to be a blast; and after seeing her in BvS, I'm stoked about Wonder Woman. So the future is bright IMO.
