Not only does barnwell think we have 2 of the worst contracts in the nfl (he doesn't even mention our rbs), CJ is the posterboy for the article. I agree with him about Beason but how is CJ one of the worst 2 de contracts when the guy he replaced (peppers) is producing less and making more?

IMO it's only a bad contract if the player isn't worth what he is making now, doesn't matter whether we could have gotten a better deal at the start of a contract. It's not as good as it could have been but I don't think it's outrageous based on his production.

What would he have to do to be worth that contract? 12 sacks and 7 forced fumbles not cutting it?

he's getting paid top-5 money, and while he's above-average, he is in nobody's top-5

and his numbers are fine, but nowhere near elite, which is where you would expect someone with that contract to be

Seriously the guys are there to entertain us and going to an NFL game costs an arm and leg. Most fans like when their team gets to be energetic and celebrate plays. Yes I get a line has to be drawn somewhere on taunting and celebrating but that line has gone way to far to the point football games are gonna end up with just guys going through the motions and what fun is that to watch?
