i didn't wanna start a new thread for this, but ratchet & clank was the best $40 i've spent on a video game in years. (never played a R&C game before though, so it was a new experience).

Anyone else tried out Vue? I got the slim package $30 a month and dropped TWC. Only thing I'm worried about is live NFL football. Probably just get an antenna if they don't offer live local channels soon.
5/27/2016 12:38:49 PM
^^based on that I'll give R&C a try. I really enjoy the Uncharted series so far. I had never heard of it until I saw a commercial for Uncharted 4. I ended up buying all four. Beat the first one and am 2/3rds through the second. Definitely great. Really can't wait to get to the fourth.
5/27/2016 1:02:58 PM
^^ Very happy with the $35/mo package.
5/27/2016 9:57:23 PM
I've got Vue. 35/month. It's great. Stream it on my projector, or iPad, or phone. DVR. and multiple streams simultaneously.
5/27/2016 10:50:49 PM
they just added abc11 this week which is great!
5/28/2016 10:27:15 PM
^What's that?
5/28/2016 11:08:01 PM
Vue doesn't have live network programming in most markets, so having live ABC is a nice bonus.

Sony really brought their A-game with the press conference this year. God of War, Horizon: Zero Dawn, The Last Guardian, and Resident Evil VII. I'm skeptical about the VR stuff, but there seems to be a lot of games coming at least.
6/13/2016 10:29:58 PM
Horizon and God of War look really good. I still don't really see what's so great about Last Guardian but I know people are hyped about it.Final Fantasy looks pretty bad.Kojima is crazy as hell, and "Dead Stranding" might be the worst name ever.Spider-Man game looks fun but the costume looks awful.I was expecting PSVR to be $300 instead of $400 considering how the specs compare to Occulus and Vive.
6/13/2016 11:00:10 PM
So I hear Uncharted 4 is incredible
6/14/2016 9:27:35 AM
People are excited for The Last Guardian because it's from the team that made ICO and Shadow of the Colossus. I didn't care for either game, but they've got a very passionate cult following. If they don't redesign the costume, there's sure to be alternates for the Spider-Man game.
6/14/2016 10:56:48 AM
Final Fantasy does look awesome. That said I read a review today (Ars Technica) and they say its buggy as hell on the testing edition they got. Suppose to come out in September. If they can fix it, might be the first FF game I buy since X.

ShinAntonio whole opinion credibility forever wrecked, get the fuck out.
6/15/2016 11:20:14 AM
LOL whatevs.
6/16/2016 10:30:40 AM
No really. What you type is no longer credible to froshkiller
6/16/2016 11:42:25 AM
I never played those games but I do remember they were very beautiful for PS2 games. The Last Guardian would be a decent looking PS3 game.
6/17/2016 12:29:10 AM
so did they ever make an announcement about 'Red Dead 2'?
6/19/2016 9:15:49 AM
PlutoTv is fun to play around with. Not nearly enough channels yet to forgo a cable package, but I think it has potential. In the meantime, there's an MST3K channel, a stand-up comedy channel, news, and a couple of internet fail/cat video channels for free.
6/20/2016 3:40:28 PM
http://www.geek.com/games/final-fantasy-vii-remakes-individual-episodes-will-be-full-sized-games-1651621/This is from April but I missed it and didnt see it here. Id heard the episode bit (actually it was originally reported as they were cutting back to only specific scenes). But this is saying they are going to make it more like StarCraft2 as multiple full games. Not happy for the cost (why I never bought SC2) but knowing how much work will probably go in to this, probably worth it.
6/21/2016 9:14:40 AM
FF 15 looks terrible. I can't get excited about anything Square does.
6/21/2016 10:43:27 AM
Tried out PS VR yesterday. It was fun, but brightness and graphics were both noticeably worse than the Oculus demo in the same store. That rig wasn't even a hardcore gaming PC.
6/25/2016 5:00:54 PM
Just finished Uncharted 4 yesterday. I mostly like it but was a little too linear. I kept thinking something bad was going to happen during that epilogue, like Cassie finding Drake and Elena murdered.
7/19/2016 12:35:52 PM
Hey, man, don't spoil the fucking ending. I thought the epilogue was a pleasant surprise. Just saying a goddamn name like that is enough to tip somebody off.[Edited on July 20, 2016 at 11:13 AM. Reason : Post #49,900.]
7/20/2016 11:13:40 AM
Should have just posted it in the Uncharted thread but I didn't see it until after I posted here. I also thought the game had been out longer than 2 months at this point but left it ambiguous enough so that you didn't know what happened.Just bought Far Cry 4 Complete Edition for $30 and I'll start it sometime this weekend.
7/21/2016 7:32:03 AM
For laughs, do what Pagan Min asks right at the very beginning.
7/21/2016 7:55:30 AM
^^^Thanks. I started reading his post and saw yours and stopped ^^I'm still on Uncharted 1 from the Remaster. Lent my PS4 to a friend so it'll be a while before I finish it.
7/25/2016 11:51:59 AM
I need a game recommendation. Looking for something that I can pick up and play for half an hour just to vege out and have some fun and put it down. I've been playing Uncharted 4, Fallout 4, and Last of Us Remastered and I realized I want something more casual.
8/19/2016 9:46:12 PM
Rocket League
8/19/2016 9:48:04 PM
^^ I'm about 60% through with Far Cry 4. Really fun game and easy to pick up and put down whenever. I bought the GOTY edition and it'll take me another month to probably finish it. The driving is my least favorite aspect of the game; I hate having to control a vehicle with just one thumb stick. And it's too easy to accumulate money.I'm thinking of grabbing the Witcher 3 GOTY edition when I'm finished with Far Cry; it's supposed to be out at the end of this month. Lots of cool games coming out at the end of the year so I might pick up something current so I'm not constantly a year or two behind.
8/21/2016 8:52:29 PM
I bought Doom because it was on sale recently and I have a fondness for the old ones as they were the first computer games I got hooked on. Holy shit is this game intense. I haven't played a game that made me sweat in a while. It's basically a Slayer song turned into a video game.
8/28/2016 8:55:00 PM
I'm noticing a trend that I really thought was going to go in the opposite direction. Has anyone else noticed that digital copies of games are more expensive than physical copies? Wasn't the whole point of the digital revolution that we could cut out the middle man and production costs, dropping the price?I'm wondering if there is a "convenience" fee in there because it's so much nicer to just open a game instead of putting discs in.
3/16/2017 10:09:54 AM
more likely reason is pressure from brick and mortar retailers. what i dont get is why cant i buy a download code from gamestop, best buy, target, etc.? i would much rather do that then have to get up an put a new disc in every time (first world problem)
3/16/2017 12:30:55 PM
FWIW Amazon usually has a digital code option nowadays, though I'm not sure if their Prime discount applies to digital codes.
3/16/2017 12:37:55 PM
so i'm planning to purchase a PS4 this year in preparation for Red Dead Redemption 2. Is the 500GB the standard model? Is this plenty of space for a casual gamer? I'll probably get Uncharted and a couple more games but that's about it. Is there any reason to upgrade to the 1TB model? I don't currently have a 4K TV or anything like that.
3/30/2017 11:45:10 AM
I don't remember if the PS4 ever got external hdd support. If it did, you can get the smaller one. If it didn't, go as large as you can afford.
3/30/2017 12:17:51 PM
I think they added external HDD support a couple patches ago. That being said, the slim 500GB is pretty much the standard you'll see (at least for new units), and that'll usually include at least a game or two.
3/30/2017 12:28:47 PM
Yeah PS4 has external drive support.Any awesome games out right now?
3/30/2017 5:32:12 PM
Should I wait for the PS5 or just buy a PS4 Pro or PS4 Slim?[Edited on March 31, 2017 at 10:09 AM. Reason : I have a 4K tv]
3/31/2017 10:09:25 AM
^^ PS4 has been killing it with exclusives. I'm so glad I traded in my Shitbox One. I would recommend "Horizon: Zero Dawn" for casuals and hardcore. I'm playing through it now and it's a gorgeous game with a pretty decent story. Next I'm gonna pick up "Nier: Automata" (after I finish BOTW) because I love Platinum Games and it's received really good ratings. I've heard it's weird in a good way and less punishing than most action games. Also, Persona 5 for JRPG fans. Too many games!I'm using a PS4 slim on an old 1080p Plasma and I'm fine with it. Although, I haven't really seen the Pro run on a 4k tv.
3/31/2017 11:02:16 AM
I generally own both systems. Most of my friends are on XBox but Horizon Zero Dawn and the new God of War are the two main reasons I want a PS4.
