Thanks a whole fucking lot for spoiling Creep 2.[Edited on November 7, 2018 at 9:05 AM. Reason : Peace, we outta here.]
11/7/2018 9:05:43 AM
The movie came out over a year ago. You've had plenty of time to watch it.
11/7/2018 11:46:58 AM
Motherfucker, people don't have a deadline to see a fucking movie. I'm not sitting by the phone waiting to be alerted when a sequel drops so I can watch it as soon as humanly possible.
11/7/2018 12:36:41 PM
Yeah I've never even heard of Creep 1.
11/7/2018 12:59:22 PM
Motherfucker, people don't have a deadline on when they are allowed to talk about movies that have been out for a year either. This is a damn horror movie thread. If a movie has been out for a reasonable amount of time and people are talking about it, I'm not gonna gonna censor myself because someone out there has been meaning to see it but hasn't gotten to it yet.
11/7/2018 1:22:49 PM
How hard is it to type fucking "(spoiler alert)" in the middle of the sentence before you spoil the fucking movie?
11/7/2018 2:18:40 PM
It's not a spoiler. [spoiler]
The main guy doesn't die in Creep 2; the coda has him tracking down the victim and filming her
11/8/2018 10:31:07 AM
oh goddamn I read that as 'Jeepers Creepers 2' and wondered what the fuss was about...then i reread and realized it was Creep 2... which I havent seen yet
11/9/2018 11:33:17 AM
Also - anyone else like Dark Was The Night? I'm more of a psycho thriller type, though. monsters typically dont bother/interest me.
11/9/2018 11:38:28 AM
I finally got around to watching hereditary. That movie was a big old pile of blah.
1/17/2019 5:34:14 PM
New Pet Sematary appears promising based on reviews and trailers. Can't be worse than the 1989 version.
3/20/2019 9:23:45 PM
I plan on checking Us out this weekend
3/20/2019 10:00:23 PM
Critters: A New Binge comes out on Shudder today. Not really a movie, an 8 part series w/ 10 min episodes. Excited for some cheesy low budget horror!
3/21/2019 7:54:01 AM
The Curse of La Llorona looks great! Next movie in The Conjuring "universe".https://youtu.be/uOV-xMYQ7skComes out April 19th, one week before Pet Cemetery remake.
3/29/2019 9:02:31 AM
I was wrong about the Pet Semetary date, my mistake! That's this friday.
4/1/2019 1:11:51 PM
I rescind my earlier Pet Sematary post. Based on a few reviews, it sounds like it will be less than stellar. Guess it's back to waiting on IT part 2 to come out.
4/2/2019 2:28:58 PM
I haven't seen the 1989 version in a few years, what did you think was so bad about it?
4/2/2019 3:29:31 PM
I can't recall now - been so long since I've seen it probably not fair to even make that comment. Mainly just a general disappointment it wasn't as scary as the book, but that's the same for all of his movies.
4/3/2019 12:10:04 PM
I wasn't impressed by Us or Pet Semetary.
4/8/2019 1:18:28 PM
When did you read Pet Sematary? I'm reading it again for the first time in 20 years. Not nearly all that scary. More of a deep dive on death than anything else.
4/8/2019 4:19:10 PM
^ Probably about the same time you did - 20 or so years ago. Went through my King reading phase in high school. Pet Sematary probably wouldn't be as scary upon a reread a super mature grown-up person now, but I ain't never reading The Shining again bc that a few parts of that book were legit throw the book away like you're reading The NeverEnding Story scary.
4/15/2019 12:44:45 PM
^I've been wanting to go back and read a few King books, especially the Shining. It's been well over a a decade or more since my last King-read.I recently watched Cronenberg's The Brood, and I was pleasantly surprised. I need to watch more Cronenberg, I've only seen The Fly, Naked Lunch, The DeadZone, Scanners and Rabid (I think), but there are a lot more.
10/12/2022 12:40:25 PM
Recently watched 1978 Majic with Anthony Hopkins. Not a great film, but interesting.
10/20/2022 2:00:45 PM
Prey on Hulu was excellent.Hellraiser remake on Hulu was disappointing.
10/20/2022 8:33:15 PM
X was very disturbing
10/21/2022 12:03:07 AM
^ Definitely not the direction I thought the movie was going to take.
10/21/2022 8:32:40 AM
I thought Hellraiser was disappointing as well.I want to watch X, but I don't want to pay for it. Hmmm haha
10/21/2022 12:18:13 PM
Eden LakeKids fuck with a couple on vacationPretty brutal
3/14/2023 7:14:37 AM
You're out of your damn mind
3/14/2023 7:36:09 AM
What can I say, it bored me (I assume you mean Pearl not EL)
3/14/2023 9:20:41 AM
I haven't seen Pearl yet, but I thought X was very good. Nice grindhouse vibe. And I was not expecting the antagonist to be who it was.
3/14/2023 12:57:50 PM
Saw Eden Lake a while back, it was very much a dread-inducing movie. The ending was .I thought X was decent for a slasher movie. Kind of silly/over the top but it worked. I lolled when that alligator just happened to be waiting for the blond girl so he could eat her.I had no idea Pearl was a prequel until I saw the house. I thought it was pretty dumb though. Hoping that the third one is better.
3/14/2023 1:56:27 PM
Evil Dead Rising was top notch! Perfect continuation and stayed true to the original formula.
4/25/2023 10:44:35 AM
I’ve never had any particularly strong feelings about any of the Scream movies, but just watched 6 and was surprised how much I liked it
4/25/2023 10:24:49 PM
^, ^^ both were good. really enjoyed Evil Dead Rise
5/1/2023 2:16:16 PM
^ did you see all 5? I saw the one where Jacky from Roseanne came back from the dead at the end and they shot her again in the theaters actually
5/1/2023 11:00:01 PM
Just finished evil dead rise, I thought it was solid as well
5/13/2023 12:38:40 PM
Talk to Me is really, really good.
8/15/2023 12:05:12 PM
Nope was long, a bit silly and pretty boring.Mama was long and a bit silly at times, but it was done really well and was decent.Any Classic 80s horror movie suggestions?
10/5/2023 4:26:49 PM
^Not 80s, but I liked the movie "Hush".https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_P8WCbhC6sI reckon that it's on netflix. You could also use one of the f2movies TLD alternates.Or go "old school" (wasn't it new school just a while ago?) and buy the blu-ray!https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Hush-Blu-ray/179664/[Edited on October 5, 2023 at 4:53 PM. Reason : if you watch it, let me know your thoughts. I really liked it!]
10/5/2023 4:38:20 PM
I had high expectations for Nope given the director, but I was let down pretty hard. It was a big “Nope” for me.Not a movie, but I’m re-watching The Haunting of Hill House, and that is scarier than just about anything else I’ve seen.Looking forward to The House of Usher.
10/5/2023 4:53:47 PM
Yes, I'm also looking forward to The House of Usher.I watched Peter Jackson's first movie, Bad Taste from 1987. He produced, directed, filmed, co-wrote and starred in it. Whoah boy. If you're looking for an over-the-top cheesy, gory, gross, silly, low-budget 80s horror movie, this is definitely one.[Edited on October 6, 2023 at 2:24 PM. Reason : it's on YouTube]
10/6/2023 2:24:15 PM
^^I also just started rewatching the Haunting of Hill House (will be my 3rd viewing). Love that show.I saw the new Exorcist movie last night (Believer). It was...questionable. I'd say it is worth watching but maybe not paying to watch. My ticket was only $12 so not exactly breaking the bank. But when resurrecting such a storied horror brand I expected better. Hopefully the 2nd (of 3) will be better.
10/10/2023 3:55:13 PM
10/10/2023 4:31:03 PM
^^The last shot of the Two Storms episode, where young Nell was voicing over "nobody could see me, nobody could see me" and the bent-neck Nell was standing by her coffin...spooky stuff.
10/10/2023 10:15:50 PM
^^I haven't seen Dead Alive, but I had some friends in college who made a skate-ivdeo of them skating around campus/Raleigh and they edited it with scenes from that movie.. including what I'm guessing is the finale when he straps a lawnmower to his chest and slaughters the zombies. Jackson's second movie from '87 Meet the Feebles is supposed to be really interesting too, but apparently it's very hard to find (or was last time I looked).
10/11/2023 9:58:56 AM
^^That has to be one of the best episodes of a TV show....ever.
10/11/2023 1:43:05 PM
We’re rewatching Hill House and just hit the Two Storms episode tonight. I loved it the first time but this show is an absolute masterclass of spooky drama. Unbelievable
