I think Teal and Norman are NFL players, they consistently impress me. Amerson is an NFL starter. That one WR has the size, not sure what speed he runs, and Winkles is HOF caliber . First ballot

LOL I'd hate to be a team needing a qb this year
1/4/2013 5:06:48 PM
NCSU could potentially account for 10% of the starting NFL QBs next season
1/4/2013 5:07:20 PM
this is the same guy that said jimmy claussen was a cant miss prospect even after all 32 teams passed on him at least once
1/4/2013 5:07:38 PM
Every analyst has been been wrong. You are not pointing out anything useful. I'm sure we could find some under the radar guys that he loved and that did well. I don't care much for Kiper, but it's good to see Glennon getting some attention.[Edited on January 4, 2013 at 5:15 PM. Reason : ^^ that would be pretty amazing]
1/4/2013 5:13:08 PM
He's being negative. It's what makes him happy.
1/4/2013 5:17:02 PM
Yeah, you're right. Also, I would like to point out that at least one team did not pass on Jimmy, as the Panthers had traded their first round pick away the previous year. This made their pick in the second round the first chance they had to draft him. I didn't do the research to check if any other teams had no chance to draft him.On an unrelated note, every team passed on Tom Brady many times.
1/4/2013 5:30:37 PM
Glennon probably is the best qb in this draft. But this is about the weakest qb class I can remember. In about any other year he would be a 3rd rounder or so.
1/4/2013 6:20:55 PM
he'll make a fine career backup, but he has done nothing in his 2 years for me to think he'll be a career starterthat doesn't mean I hate him, it means that quality NFL QB's are extremely rare and I don't think he fits the moldI'll be happy if I'm wrong, but I doubt it

Mel Kiper, Jr. sizes up Mike Glennon, David Amersonhttp://ncstate.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1460877
1/17/2013 12:35:26 PM
i'd say there were a lot of drops. for me, most everything i saw were drops. i watched over half our games, and if you watch them, there were a ton of drops, even in the bowl game. i don't even know how many drops there were. i'd say it has less to do with Glennon, but more to do with his teammates dropping the ball.drops.
1/17/2013 12:49:09 PM
yeah, there were several drops of good passes
1/17/2013 1:10:35 PM
^^ You must be saying that sarcastically. There were soooo many drops... could've easily won the UNC game, for example, if not for the drops.

In senior bowl, Tyler wilson looks good. Glennon didn't look good. Manuel did well, but I don't think he is an NFL QBVernon is good[Edited on January 26, 2013 at 4:43 PM. Reason : ,]
1/26/2013 4:41:01 PM
all wilson did is throw 3 yard passes then almost throw an INT when he had a wipe open WR in the end zone[Edited on January 26, 2013 at 6:38 PM. Reason : tyler]

we're pretty lucky that our highest profile players in recent years for the most part are class acts.
2/1/2013 1:45:32 PM
except for Farnold and Gavin
2/1/2013 1:47:47 PM
gavin's why i stated "for the most part" and farnold wasn't exactly high profile. hell i forgot he either existed or what he did.
2/1/2013 1:51:44 PM
^I'm assuming ^^ meant to imply "nationally relevant" by "high profile."
2/1/2013 1:52:48 PM
Classy, but what about his NFL future?
2/1/2013 2:46:15 PM
Glennon has some upside going into the NFL. He just needs to get in the right situation and be groomed, he can't start from Day 1 like Russell did. Glennon needs the Rodgers treatment, go in and sit for a couple of years and develop physically and mentally, then take over a team.Because he's not a "Day 1 starter", he's likely to be a 2nd/3rd round pick by a team that is iffy at QB but not desperate.
2/1/2013 2:52:09 PM
If he starts Day 1 he may break David Carr's single season sack record. Pass rushers would be licking their chops.

what an unfortunate angle on MG's male pattern baldness.
4/16/2013 11:01:48 PM
hahahaha someone had to say it.
4/16/2013 11:26:19 PM
what round is he gonna go in?And, is he really that good of a passer or was gruden just hyping him up? I mean the best passer in the draft, really?
4/17/2013 1:23:44 AM
he's a very accurate passerhe's terribly immobile, i questioned his decision making at times (ie throwing a 4-yard checkdown on 3rd and 10) and once again, he's horrific with his lack of mobilitybut he can thread the needle...he threw for over 4,000 yards this year and had three games with 400+ passing yards...would've had a couple 500+ yard passing games were it not for receivers dropping passes that hit them right in the numbers
4/17/2013 1:32:03 AM
I, too, like to pretend the defender isn't there and stick it in.
4/17/2013 5:04:12 AM
He's not mobile, but he moves well in the pocket and he also throws well on the run* (he made a ton of big throws while running to the sideline).IMO, they just need to work on his decision making. Get that little bit of Jay Cutler out of him (as well as the throwing check downs on 4th and 10) and give him some protection...and you might have your starting QB for the next 10 years.*if that's what you call running.
4/17/2013 7:51:35 AM
I want an uncut Gruden camp where he cracks open a few Corona Extras and makes players cry on film.
