Hey, out of curiosity, does the 360 version of this game have an activation code which is designed to prevent used copies from being able to play online? I pretty much never buy used games, but I have found one which a guy is selling for $35. Sounds too good to be true.

I've found a few, but they are only ever marginally better than the gear I already have equipped. I have yet to find anything that approaches how good the items in those screenshots are. In fact most stuff I find you could divide by 4 and not end up with those stats.

Only level 21, so maybe that has something to do with it.

So my friend and I spent about 4 hours today playing the slots to see if we can win an orange item. No dice. We then decided to go out and do some quests and within 30 mins we found one in a normal chest; no boss or anything. A pretty nice lvl 26 pistol with decent stats for its level. Then we go back to the slots to try our luck one last time and then we hit the mother load and got like 10 really good pink and purple shit that beats the crap out of the orange pistol.

Oh well, at least I got to be happy with using the orange pistol for about 45 mins before just sticking it with a "normal" non legendary weapon that has way better stats for being in the same level range.

I continue to be surprised by the size of this game's world map. I'll be going along, doing my thing, corroding/burning bandits and bots, and then I stumble onto a place like Lynnwood or Opportunity.

I'm assuming that loot gets better in new game+ ? I haven't seen anything approach that, but so far I've only leveled several characters to lvl20 instead of finishing out one character.

oh yeah, they get way more powerful. You find way better stuff on the 2nd play through when mobs are 35-50 lvl. I got some nice blue and purple lvl 50's that deal major damage. I got a green lvl 50 rocket launcher that does 214k dmg.

The mission is timed but you can't fail that mission by running out of time.
You can't free Roland before reaching the end of the dam and you can take
as long as you want to reach the end.

Once you reach the end o the dam it becomes a timed mission. If you run out
of time the robot will just take Roland to a different location and you can free
him from there. There's no time limit at the second location, you just fight the
constructor until you free Roland.

In my playthrough I didn't get a single corrosive elemental damage weapon drop
before that point (and didn't get one until level 21). I never check the vendors
and just rely on drops/quest rewards. No corrosive weapons made that section
really difficult.

when you get the mission to rescue roland go to moxxi and tip her $100 at a time until she gives you the bad touch. its a one time gun with acid damage. it is level dependent on when you tip her.

This is the first Orange that I found ... dropped on my first playthrough from the Bullymong that had Claptrap's eye. Its really powerful, more than it seems. I used it until like level 20. I think it does increasing elemental damage with each shot. I know the Hornet in BL1 was REALLY powerful with it's corrosive effect. I thought I had accidentally sold this gun, but I had in my my stash at Roland's spot.

Beat this yesterday. Really satisfied with the story mode - nothing too fancy but leagues better than the horrible Blizzard games I've come off of. Pretty much all the side quests were amusing, especially the Grandmother quest. The courier quests can goto hell, and I suck too much to beat the last Hyperion slaughterhouse round

Only gripe is wish money drops were more significant (as opposed to picking up guns being the real cash cow), vendor items being 99% crap, and more places to spend money besides slots.

2nd play through is way more fun I think than the first. There's actually a few new dialog and new missions that weren't avaliable from the first time around that really add to the replay value. A friend joined me in my 2nd play through as a lvl 1 and got to 21 within an hour or two.

I so want the lvl 50 version of the forfleet rocket launcher, deals 212k+ x3 base damage.

I'm pretty much using all lvl 50 orange items now so I just rape face. The Bee shield adds 51k dmg amp shot to every bullet, as long as your shields are 100% full; takes 0 shields away when being used. Its oh so very OP. I can kill the Terra in like 5 seconds now.

if you find the right exploding weapon, you can one-shot pretty much anything if you throw it with a full clip. really strong.

I finished at Level 33, but spent a ton of time trying to beat Round 5 in the Hyperion Slaughterhouse. Most things were 30-32 towards the end so you should be close
