I'd suggest using so delicious unsweetened coconut milk. It's great, low carb, and you can add some stevia if you want. I might try this.Raw almond butter was much better when in the fridge. I'll keep on buying it.
6/20/2012 1:12:31 PM
^ Coconut milk wouldn't be the same effect as coconut water though.I am definitely going to experiment with this. I'll let y'all know how it goes

I am in love with Trader Joe's honey Greek yogurt; it's delicious, and I have one for breakfast on most days. But they just got in some pumpkin-flavored Greek yogurt, and I was suspicious but tried it anyway. It was terrible. The flavor was too artificial and too heavy on the cinnamon, and the texture was more grainy than smooth. Overall, do not recommend. So for the regular Greek yogurts they offer:honey > apricot mango >> strawberry >>>...>>> pumpkin

Pumpkin spice coffee
10/3/2012 8:03:23 AM
I'm glad you warned me away from that stuff. I thought about buying a bag last time I was in there.
10/3/2012 8:25:04 AM
Had the sweet potato fries last night with the kids I watch, 3 kids and one adult agree they were some of the best we've ever had.
10/3/2012 9:17:51 AM
brewed with a regular blend the pumpkin spice coffee is much much better.
10/3/2012 10:34:26 AM
This stuff is so damn good.

I got the rosemary olive oil asiago a couple of months ago for the first time and kept forgetting to review it in here. OMG! I have found my new favorite cheese. I am normally a goat cheese lover but the flavors mixed together are amazing to my palate and I can actually afford this cheese. I eat edamame as a snack often and my favorite after trying many different venders is the trader joe's shelled from the frozen section. I never get that burnt bean taste that I often get from other venders. Also, our kids eat the TJ version of gogurts for snack time. 10 carbs per tube is pretty good and the yogurt is organic. I think they taste pretty good and I can't eat the Yoplait gogurts because they are too sweet.

Their mailer arrived at our house yesterday. Apparently they have 20 bajillion pumpkin things in stock right now. Might try out the roasted pumpkin ravioli this weekend.
10/11/2012 1:25:26 PM
i love their PLZNR...though now that it's cooler outside, i won't be drinking it muchsince it IS cooler, i'll definitely pick up some stockyard oatmeal stout as it's pretty awesomewhile i'm there, i'll probably get some dunkelweizen and winterfest doppelbock (if it's available)...i remember liking them and at $6.50/6-pack, they're a value
10/11/2012 1:26:27 PM
The lemon triple ginger snap ice cream is soooooooo good
10/17/2012 12:37:01 PM
^ Have you tried the pumpkin ice cream? I bought some this week and it is amazing! I might just buy this from now on rather than getting Goodberry's.

Are people still worried about GMOs?[Edited on September 9, 2013 at 12:28 PM. Reason : .]
9/9/2013 12:28:19 PM
....false advertising...
9/9/2013 12:28:44 PM
people are definitely still worried about GMOs.
9/9/2013 12:33:26 PM
GMOs taste delicious!
9/9/2013 12:47:47 PM
GMO tomatoes from the grocery store most certainly do not taste delicous
9/9/2013 12:54:39 PM
damned Monsanto with their Roundup Ready tomatoes. right?
9/9/2013 1:13:00 PM
whatever you say bro
9/9/2013 1:13:56 PM
you know why they don't taste delicious. nothing to do with genetic modification. it's because they pick them while they're still green then treat them with ethylene. same as all produce
9/9/2013 1:15:53 PM
yeah, people think they can taste the difference between organic and "conventional". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5amLAMRQk5I
9/9/2013 1:32:31 PM
and a genetic mutation? http://news.discovery.com/earth/plants/supermarket-tomatoe-gene-taste-120628.htm

^^ that's the greatest thing I've seen in a long time
9/9/2013 1:44:46 PM
Most all of the tomatoes from the Farmers Market are conventionally grown/GMO tomatoes. I dont hear you people complaining about how bad those motherfuckers are....perception vs. reality.Bottom line is that people are so goddamn gullible and stupid that they'll believe anything that any hippy with a facebook account posts.
9/9/2013 1:49:02 PM
and other people are so goddamn stupid that they'll go on a crusade against anything that might be perceived as being "liberal" or "tree-hugging" or whatever. most people who try to say that GMO's aren't harmful (or mmgw isn't real) fall into this category. (and just like global warming, I really don't know what the truth is. there's no way I or most other people could know. but I'd at least like to be aware if I'm eating them. I hope most people can at least agree that false advertising is harmful)
9/9/2013 1:54:01 PM
I'm the exceptionabout as liberal as you can be, and a diehard supporter of safe conventional farming
9/9/2013 2:02:39 PM
oh yeah, i wasn't saying you're stupid, or even wrong regarding GMOs. but my main point for posting that original article was to call attention to false advertising.[Edited on September 9, 2013 at 2:05 PM. Reason : ]
9/9/2013 2:05:19 PM
I totally agree that "false advertising" is wrong.I think people should have the right to know exacly what they're eating. But there is a LOT of false information being put out by the anti-GMO crowd and people eat that shit UP (pun).I work in regulatory affairs for a crop protection company and see the scientific studies that are performed and the EPA registrations/regulations. So yes, I may come off as biased. I'm not "anti-organic" by any stretch of the imagination. People are more than welcome/encouraged to eat organic. It can't really "hurt" physically" to eat an all-organic diet. I just get fired up at false accusations by the anti-GMO folks that GMO's are destroying us, lol.But it's more than the "healthy/unhealthy" thing for me. In the end, it's about sustainability. We simply cannot sustain the rate of our growing population on the SHRINKING amount of arable land that is available for farming.Without new innovation in crop protection technology, more and more people will starve. Period. Would you rather someone in a dirt-poor (pun) country starve to death instead of being provided with a GMO tomato/corn/rice/soybean that was altered to grow more abundantly in their poor climate/soil conditions?[Edited on September 9, 2013 at 3:19 PM. 9/9/2013 3:13:11 PM
that bottom monkey is jackin it on those plantain chips up there
9/9/2013 3:15:53 PM
^^thanks for that, and i agree that some GMing is necessary. And I don't know if it's harmful or not, although I'd bet that in at least some cases, it's no more harmful than "natural" food.
9/9/2013 3:22:03 PM
Yeah, to each his own. I wont hate on someone who wants to eat all organic and is an informed consumer. But they should know the truth about how their "organic" food is actually farmed. It aint as "natural" and "clean" as they probably think haha. It grosses me the fuck out actually.
9/9/2013 3:28:30 PM
For those (not saying Bullet or anyone specific) that may misinterpret this as tomatoes being genetically modified…it’s not. Genetically modified and genetic mutation are different. They stumbled upon this when they were searching for an answer to a different question. It’s a naturally occurring mutation of a gene responsible for photosynthesis and chlorophyll production as well as the sugar and color. They also engineered the gene and added it back to the mutant tomatoes, which gave them a dark hue like you see in heirlooms. In an L.A Times article, they were not able to taste the tomatoes with the engineered gene due to USDA regulations. What they do know is that, when they tested the sugar contents of the two varieties, the one with the engineered gene has more sugar than the mutant ones. Carotenoids have more to do with the flavor of tomatoes and not the sugar content. But this only suggests one of many reasons why supermarket tomatoes tastes the way they do.

Good post Bobby Light and I pretty much agree with you. Also, this is a good (even if it's obvious to most people) point that some people don't realize:
9/9/2013 7:13:45 PM
This was circulated about a month ago and pretty much more or less what Im thinking on the subject too.https://medium.com/editors-picks/4595ca2fcdaA Liberal's Defense of GMOsNow don't get me wrong. I understand where my liberal friends are coming from.I share the same desire for a safe and healthy food supply. There's a LOT that disturbs me about the state of food production and distribution in America.I think Monsanto is evil, that patenting seeds and suing farmers is unethical, and that some GMO crops (like Roundup Ready Soybeans) lend themselves to irresponsible herbicide and pesticide use and cross-contamination.But I'm also not going to let my anti-corporate sentiments get in the way of a diverse and promising field of research. When genetic engineering is used to decrease pesticide use, to add nutrients to crops in malnourished countries, and otherwise improve the quality of our food products, then it's a valuable tool that can contribute to a safe and healthy food supply.[Edited on September 9, 2013 at 8:48 PM.
