at least they finally gave more insight into taylor's son and whatever he's brewing up out in the junglebut i bet it's another 3 episodes before they even get back to that

Why couldn't Taylor open the box? If it's DNA-secured, wouldn't his DNA be enough to open it?
11/9/2011 2:14:50 PM
I find it odd that all it took to repair that hospital bed was a new chip. Hopefully the rest of their technology isn't dependent on one chip each.
11/9/2011 2:28:26 PM
this show is ridiculous.
11/10/2011 8:08:28 AM
that CGI marlin looking thing was atrocious. one of those situations where if it looks that bad, leave it out.i liked that the son wore his burglar hat when breaking into the infirmary. it gives a +500 robbery boost.

Why, even with the advent of global communication, accents today aren't exactly racing towards extinction.
11/15/2011 8:37:27 AM
^^That's like saying that English will be the only language spoken in 150 years.
11/16/2011 8:57:57 AM
America has 1 accent
11/16/2011 8:59:03 AM
i feel like this show has an overabundance of scenes that end with a character staring just right or left of camera, ardently pondering over some sight or conversationand then BOOM! commercial. or end of show.so dramatic
11/22/2011 5:40:02 PM
Welcome to every FOX drama everCSI Miami is on the wrong network
11/22/2011 5:43:32 PM
i've always felt that way about CSI: Miami.
11/22/2011 5:46:38 PM
So last week's episode wasn't good, but at least it wasn't more self-contained bullshit. This week it looks like we're actually going to get some fucking dinosaurs.
11/28/2011 3:17:09 PM
"jim, i'm a doctor...not a chemist!"
11/28/2011 8:18:27 PM
I like this show, it's campy and serious!
11/28/2011 8:21:00 PM
Why is Mira all pissed about her kid turning 7 without her being there? If they reverse the portal can't she just show up whenever?
11/28/2011 8:37:55 PM
I don't think they have that control over it. I would say both timelines are insync, but Taylor getting there months before his buddies seems to negate that.
11/28/2011 8:53:20 PM
I counted 3 star trek references tonight...1. "I'm a doctor, not a chemist"2. The nurse was named Nurse Ogawa (same as the nurse on ST:TNG)3. The list had 47 suspects on it (the number 47 is seen all the time on star trek series.)
11/28/2011 9:20:34 PM
I thought Taylor and Mira were about to make out by the fire. Also, does anyone else find the youngest daughter to be pretty much the most annoying character on the show? Something about her just makes me want to see her get eaten by a dinosaur. Even moreso than the stupid rebellious teenage son.[Edited on November 29, 2011 at 9:06 AM. Reason : ]
11/29/2011 9:04:13 AM
12/9/2011 7:02:50 AM
i had expected the daughter to be playing with the portal equations by now.
12/12/2011 9:01:33 PM
they should just bury the stargate.
12/12/2011 10:49:28 PM
I like that they wrapped up the equations thing the way they did.Although it seems odd he would have written them on the rocks... but i can buy the explanation he was trying to taunt his dad.BUT... they are still not explaining the causality problems that well...
12/13/2011 1:05:31 AM
^ There was a scene dedicated to explaining the causality issues. They had sent a probe back to the past and since they could find that probe 85 million years later on present day Earth, they assumed it was an alternate time stream. (Think Sliders with only one parallel Earth that happens to be 85 millions behind ours)

I'm assuming the 'control the future' part was about controlling the resources of Terra Nova Earth. Earth prime seems totally exhausted of minerals/resources, it seems like the goal is to strip mine Earth Nova and bring it to Earth prime.
12/16/2011 12:22:41 PM
^^yeah they just want the resources.
12/16/2011 12:27:33 PM
I seriously doubt this show gets renewed anyways
12/16/2011 12:31:54 PM
i'd imagine it's pretty expensive to make, and if the ratings aren't stellar then i don't see them making much money.
12/16/2011 1:17:47 PM
It deserves to be killed. I'd rather have bad shows killed than have lowered standards for entertainment
12/16/2011 7:01:34 PM
this show is the worstbut it's still better than most shit on tv, so hulu it is
12/17/2011 2:01:13 PM
if its really a different universe, then it does seem like it makes more sense pull resources from Theresa Nova to bring to real earth. That way all humanity can benefit not just the few who go to terra nova.
12/17/2011 2:11:16 PM
All of humanity doesn't benefit from the resources though. They hinted at a massive class struggle on Earth Prime. Also, I would wager most people consider Earth Prime too far gone to warrant saving.
12/17/2011 3:24:57 PM
maybe they can get rid of this and bring human target back
12/17/2011 6:58:16 PM
human target was TERRIBLE are you kidding?
12/17/2011 7:06:57 PM
you don't know shit about fuck smath[Edited on December 17, 2011 at 7:26 PM. Reason : though the last season was less than stellar]
12/17/2011 7:25:43 PM
12/17/2011 8:45:33 PM
Chance has already moved on to help mama boucher and shooter mcgavin practice law in Harry's Law, so I think Human Target is kaput for good
12/18/2011 2:04:10 PM
so... what's with the badlands?
12/19/2011 11:37:05 PM
Bermuda Triangle
12/20/2011 1:22:54 AM
can't be that lameit's weird that the time fissure thing maps uniquely from one time offset to another time offset though...I guess it's been obvious for a couple episodes that they're not trying to do a "serious" sci fi show, which is still disappointing.
12/20/2011 1:33:54 AM
Maybe out in the badlands there are clues to the first attempts at time travel or something? Like back when they were first experimenting with the portal they might have accidentally sent a ship from the 1800s back in time to a few thousand years before Terra Nova or something?Or maybe scientists from the future tried to do another colony with another portal that sent them like a million years prior to Terra Nova?btw, it's a good thing that everyday people in 2154 have a common working knowledge of 19th century ships to the point where they could easily identify a prow.
12/20/2011 10:15:43 AM
a random terra nova wiki confirms my theory, for the nothing that is worth[Edited on December 20, 2011 at 10:50 AM. Reason : i might actually care about this show if they consistently brought it like the finale]
12/20/2011 10:49:27 AM
12/20/2011 3:31:08 PM
i like the show. it's really cheesy at times but i still look forward to watching it each week. last night's episode was good. i was really happy there were dinosaurs in the show again.
12/20/2011 3:59:17 PM
At the very least, this should get a miniseries to wrap it up.
12/20/2011 5:00:49 PM
Good concept, terrible writing and execution. The acting is actually pretty good at times, but some of the dialogue is Star Wars prequels bad. I wouldn't mind another season, but fire all the writers and get a new special effects team. It's guns and dinosaurs for christ sakes, how hard could it possibly be to not fuck that up. It's not even burdened by the usual giant time travel plot hole, since it's basically an alternate universe.
12/20/2011 5:11:29 PM
^Totally agreed, the CGI is laughable at times. That one episode when they were fishing and Taylor caught that giant marlin, the thing looked like it had been animated for an SNES game.
12/20/2011 5:29:01 PM
With Braga in charge of this, what did you expect? That man (along with Rick Berman) damn near killed Trek
