If we're ranging out to Cary I'll put in a vote for Abbey Rd. They have good burgers
8/10/2011 10:13:59 AM
dangI'd love a good burger today
8/10/2011 10:14:43 AM
Hell yeah Abbey Road is awesome. Tribeca Tavern is also A++ for burgers.

Indian place in Brier Creek
8/10/2011 10:33:09 AM
http://www.azitra.us/index.phpIts a little on the pricier side when compared to other Indian restaurants in town but the quality is so much better. Its easily one of my top restaurants in Raleigh

8/10/2011 11:21:34 AM
wheres that thread that compiled all of the "best X in Raleigh" threads?
8/10/2011 11:22:33 AM
new place that rules: Brookside Market & Deli! great cheap Mediterranean food in Oakwood! and nicest guy ever. it's actually just a convenience store with a small little kitchen area. go there.
8/10/2011 11:45:07 AM
Speaking of Oakwood, whatever happened to the Italian market that used to be there, down the street a bit from Krispy Kreme? Their deli food looked like it would be amazing, though I never actually had any of it (only made it there twice).
8/10/2011 11:54:35 AM
My parents keep talking about this place called "Market" on Blount St. They say the food is incrediblehttp://www.eatatmarket.com/index.cfm

Going to Lucky 32 tonight in Cary.Any good?

Tribeca Tavern's burgers are pre-fab burgers. And if they're not they do a pretty darn good job of pretending to.
8/10/2011 1:05:07 PM
i disagree....their burgers are some of the best burgers I've had in Raleigh... a little pricey for what they are, but still good. And if you mean "pre-fab" in that they grind the meat and make the burgers a couple hours before they cook them, then yeah, I can see that

8/10/2011 1:11:29 PM
It's hilarious to me that people are seriously suggesting MoJoe's as the best burger in Raleigh...it's not even the best burger on Glenwood South. [Edited on August 10, 2011 at 1:20 PM. Reason : Unless overcooked burgers with mediocre toppings and frozen fries are your thing]
8/10/2011 1:19:35 PM
^^^I haven't been to the one in Raleigh. Just the Cary one
8/10/2011 1:32:27 PM
8/10/2011 1:33:08 PM
If you want a Tribeca Tavern burger you can always go to Carolina Draft on Glenwood. Identical.
8/10/2011 1:33:55 PM
Char Grill has also "won awards" for their burgers. And while I enjoy some Char-Grill on occasions they're nowhere close to a "best burger"
8/10/2011 1:34:21 PM
all of you who have not yet had a Ruckus burger, PM me. I'll ensure you're in for a free sample next week when I get back in town. Want your honest feedback.
8/10/2011 1:42:12 PM
^^^how many times have you eaten at tribeca... the ingredients are as fresh as possible, and all the meat (turkey, beef, etc) is in house ground- the place was a finalist for top burger in wake county- Like I said, I don't know if they are worth 15+ bucks a pop (no burger is really), but they are some of the best tasting burgers I have ever had- from a restaurant that isWE GET IT PAT, YOU LOVE GLENWOOD SOUTH [Edited on August 10, 2011 at 1:46 PM. Reason : worth*]
8/10/2011 1:44:06 PM
aha yeah the price is what keeps me from going there very often. But sometimes I can't help myself!!
8/10/2011 1:46:01 PM
Draft has BOGO entree coupons in the Independent every week FYI.
8/10/2011 1:55:06 PM
8/10/2011 1:56:37 PM
I hear Draft has a lot of NILFs
8/10/2011 2:00:08 PM
No need for racism, Bryan
8/10/2011 2:01:22 PM
backyard bistro their burgers are great and you can get them cooked anyway you want since they grind their own meat (or rather angus barn does and that's where they get the meat from).
8/10/2011 2:03:39 PM
8/10/2011 2:05:59 PM
I was just confused why you commented on the placement on the menu in response to my comment is all
8/10/2011 2:10:01 PM
C&T wok, anyone mentions this?
8/10/2011 2:11:21 PM
8/10/2011 2:11:46 PM
8/10/2011 2:12:10 PM
Yeah that's what I meant. I could give two shits what a restaurants says is their specialty or highlight dish. Seems like half the time it just means it has a higher profit margin for them and is not necessarily their best item.
8/10/2011 2:17:06 PM
since we're on the topic of burgers, Chuck's should be opening on Wilmington St in the next month. haven't seen the menu but I know they're going to have some great milkshakes w/ liquor

AHA, I remember Lucky 32 from well over a decade ago.I was never a predictable eater, and I don't really like chicken. But they had these chicken thingies with three sauces that were amazing! I'm sure I looked like a child, but damn, those sauces were good, yo!
8/10/2011 6:15:29 PM
The one time we tried Lucky 32 in Cary, it was prom nite.Bad timing. Can't say I was really bowled over by the food, tho. I can't even remember what we ate. :-/
8/10/2011 6:34:26 PM
Yeah, my thing was basically a chicken tenders app. And it was awesome! I swear!I went again recently, and I can't recall what I got then either.
