Those are the only two that are full games on the list and they both have scores over 9 on IGN.

I already have LBP so I'll pick up inFAMOUS and one of the others. Think I'm leaning towards Wipeout.

if it's Wipeout HD that is 3D compatible I may pick that up, it looks pretty awesome. If not i'll get Infamous and LBP. Glad i upgraded my harddrive last summer.

It's a pretty smart move by the Infamous developers to put their first title on this list since the second is right around the corner from being released. Could potentially boost their sales quite a bit. It was a game I always found interesting but was never motivated to pay for.

I already have lbp. Should I trade it in before the trade in value drops? I assume many people will be doing this, driving the price down.

LBP has little trade-in value. They released a GOTY edition with free DLC thrown in. Just checked Amazon, and the original game goes for $15 while the GOTY edition is $18.

I was using this site to go by.
http://slimgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?505-GameStop-Trade-in-Values-List-amp-Trade-in-FAQ-v2.0

It had lbg trade-in-value at $9 as of 4/5/11
Not sure how accurate it is though

If you get $9 for it, I'd be very surprised. But you'll never know until you try. And yeah, the sooner you unload it the better.

So if I don't really care for a game that is a campaign I have to keep up with and keep playing, would I be best suited to get LBP and Stardust/Wipeout?

^I'm not really understanding your question. If you want to be able to play a game in short sessions without an involved story/mission/objectives, then yeah LBP and Super Stardust would be good for that. Dead Nation and Wipeout might work for you too though.

http://www.joystiq.com/2011/05/18/psn-website-sign-ins-disabled-after-users-identify-potential-exp/

Quote :
"Call it another "hiccup" in Sony's bumpy road to getting the PlayStation Network back up and running, securely: The company has disabled PSN sign-in access on its PlayStation-related websites for "essential maintenance" purposes.

"Clarification: this maintenance doesn't affect PSN on consoles," tweeted PlayStation Blog EU this morning, "only the website you click through to from the password change email." A follow-up tweet added, "We'll let you know as soon as the landing page is back online."

Although Sony has yet to specify the reason for the maintenance outage, the action follows users' discovery of a potential exploit of the PSN password change function on Sony's websites. UK gaming news site Nyleveia was the first to sound the alarm when it warned, "A new hack is currently doing the rounds in dark corners of the internet that allows the attacker the ability to change your password using only your account's email and date of birth."

In actuality, it was not so much a "hack" as it was a critical oversight by Sony, which had not changed the PSN password reset method on its websites when it began to partially relaunch the service last weekend. Any website user, nefarious or not, needed only to provide a PSN account's associated email address and the account holder's date of birth to change the password -- information that was stolen by hackers during the PSN breach last month.

Needless to say, if you have received an email confirming your PSN password has been changed (and you didn't change it yourself), you should contact Sony. For now, the password reset function has been disabled on Sony's websites.

"Unfortunately this also means that those who are still trying to change their password via Playstation.com or Qriocity.com will be unable to do so for the time being," Sony said in a statement posted by Eurogamer. "This is due to essential maintenance and at present it is unclear how long this will take." "

I was on PSN last night trying to play NHL '11 and it was laggy as all hell. maybe it was because all the hockey fans headed on there after the Bruins-Lightning game was over.

Had never had any trouble like that before though.

i already have Superstardust and wipeout and they are my favorite "arcadey" PS3 games when I want a quick fix and not have to get involved in a deep storyline or something.

You may not have understood my question, but your answer was what I was looking for. Just something more like an arcade game I can pick up for an hour and play and then not come back for a week and pick it up again.

So if my wife and I both have PSN accounts for our own logins, does that mean we can download four games? If they're downloadable from the store, can we share them across PSN accounts like you can other DLC?

"Sony's 3.61 firmware patch for the PS3, which attempted to secure consoles after the PSN breach, could be making older machines freeze or switch off.

This claim originated on an official Rockstar support page. However, this page has since been taken down, and Rockstar have stressed that this was not an official statement. The information was sourced by a member of their customer support team from the European PlayStation boards.

When the page was active, Rockstar support detailed "reports of PS3s overheating while playing L.A. Noire or beeping three times before shutting down/turning themselves off, mostly on older 60GB and 80GB fat models."

And that it was "confirmed locally that multiple games (Rockstar and non-Rockstar) overheat or freeze only when 3.61 is installed."

Again, Rockstar have stressed that this was not an official statement. When contacted for comment, Sony said, "We don't comment on rumours or speculation about our products."

I've held on to so many games that I thought I would play again but never do. There's so many games out there and less and less time to play them that I doubt I'll ever fully replay an entire game again in my life. I rarely even watch movies twice now.

ditto here. I usually hold on to them but never play them again. The best thing I did with them is trade them with friends but then sometimes they are hard to get back.
