just add 2 more teams to the AL. 32 teams, 4 4 team divisions like football. throw another team in canada, and the other in... mexicoalso, since there's no Royals thread, Mike Moustakas hit his first career HR in his 2nd game. Might be a pretty good player some day.[Edited on June 12, 2011 at 11:36 AM. Reason : ~]

^ The Royals have some very good young players on their current roster and a couple of top notch prospects in the farm system right now. If they can keep that together for a few years they will be a serious contender in the 2013-14 seasons. They are looking a lot like the Indians of the mid-late 90's the way they're building their team.[Edited on June 12, 2011 at 11:47 AM. Reason : .]

per Ken Rosenthal - Cardinals' Pujols out 4 to 6 weeks with small fracture in wrist.

Almost to the point where'd he'd be better off signing a one year "Prove it" deal than trying to maximize his value off this season

My theory that Pujols is really like 35 and is going to start breaking down while his numbers fall off a cliff is slowly coming to pass

7/1/2011 10:30:31 AM
Mets would be half a game from fifth place in the Central
7/1/2011 10:45:03 AM
And 2 games out in the L column from the division lead. The two best records in the NL are in the East and the 3 best records in the AL are in the east. And like I said in the other thread since the Mets 5-13 start, on April 20th, the Phils/Braves/Mets have the three best records in the NL.
7/1/2011 11:05:34 AM
You think the rest of the team will just lose all hope and tank epically when they trade Reyes in three weeks, or will they keep running on fumes for another month after he's gone and stay above .500
7/1/2011 11:11:29 AM
They aren't going to trade him. Not saying they'll re-sign him but they'd just take the draft picks at the end of the year. Now it would NOT surprise me to see both Beltran and K-Rod gone since they can't get picks for them. Won't get high value, but won't get nothing either.
7/1/2011 11:12:49 AM
I can imagine Mets management trying to swing a deal for prospects with the intent of re-signing Reyes in the offseason. That of course would never work because lol Mets.
