Or...Clemson at home, deflated after a loss to the worst (?) team in the ACC. Missing their best playmaker on Offense and don't care about the rest of the season...

It's threads like this that remind me of how fucking smart I am compared to most of you retards.
11/2/2010 11:26:51 AM
^^ Thats's all well and good on paper, but all I'm saying is that I have a bad feeling about it.How many times have we stacked up incredibly well pre-game, only to blow the game? (Perhaps you had other stuff going on during the ECU game and missed that demonstration of my point)
11/2/2010 11:35:53 AM
Duke and Wake are worse than Boston College
11/2/2010 11:39:02 AM
Have you people ever considered what Clemson is thinking? Do you think they're exicted about Wilson, Moose, Nate, Bryan, Spencer, and Williams coming into their house with our ACC division by the balls?
11/2/2010 11:39:23 AM
^I think they're excited at the chance to fuck our opportunity over. If they can't be in a clear lead for the division, why not dick it up for anyone else they can? That said, despite my reservations, I think we'll get this one...NCSU: 34Clemson: 24
11/2/2010 11:42:36 AM
You've either chosen to ignore my meaning, or you have mistaken it. Of course they are literally exicted; just like we were when FSU came in to play us. At the same time I was terrified about having to actually play them, and having to stop their run. I'm sure Clemson has the same "oh fuck" feeling.
11/2/2010 11:45:16 AM
going to be a tough game, that is for sure. the speculation on rankings, point spread predictions, who's playing, who's not playing, past records, etc. and their effect are stupid. Clemson is a team that can play tough and well at times. Not to mention, their house is a tough one to play in. On paper, we beat them... in real life, things like the 12th man, spirit, excitement, and want to end up making/breaking the team. That being said, our paper stats, plus realization of our position, and wanting the win will get us through.NCSU - 31Clemson - 24
11/2/2010 11:47:28 AM
with decent pressure, i think we can hold clemson's offense to some pretty bad numbersand hopefully RW has turned the corner and will continue mistake-free (or at least limit them) football. if that's the case, the moose runs loose for 2 touchdowns and we dominate TOP and run away with the game.
11/2/2010 12:32:25 PM
that's pretty much what i feel. ^

If we score first and hold them on their first drive I think that we could hold them down for the win. If we win though we will either lose to Maryland or UNC. Plain and simple. If we do beat UC, I will have to step up the drinking to prevent myself from having a heart attack or panic attacks during the last three games. Our Defensive pressure is the key to this game. We have to get to Parker. UC is the #1 sacked team in the ACC, however we cannot get caught blitzing with the short pass or the belly.Should be a fun game to watch. GO PACK.

ive been mixing it up over on thetigernet.com, so far responses have been"Your lame campus consists of pine trees, concrete and very few hot women.""Glad to hear....your tailgaters haven't killed anyone else lately and that your students finally stopped pi$$ing in the bleachers. You must be very proud.""Clemson is 8-2 against the Wolf Pack since 2000. But, on the bright side for you NC state fans, you do have that cool hand gesture that looks like a wolf going for ya... So I saw a video showing Duke come out of their tunnel, and apparently they've adopted the whole coming out with an American flag and State of North Carolina flag like the way we do. Shouldn't they have a State of New Jersey flag though?

re: dean haynes and the concussion.Ive probably re-watched this FSU game about 5 times now (i still get nervous as hell when FSU has it on the 3 yrd line). But i noticed the first few carries that Haynes had and ive got a bad feeling.1) He runs sooo square that he looks like a big target. The FSU LB's hit him really really hard at least 3 times before he fumbled and if you watch the fumble play again, he looks so timid/gun-shy; he didn't get hit that hard, i think it was accumulative2) I think this is gonna be a problem for him going fwd because he's not shifty at all, he gets planted on every play he carries just about because he runs so square north and south.Go State!!
11/3/2010 8:15:34 AM
5 times? like, the whole game?
11/3/2010 9:02:55 AM
^^ I'm failing to see how a guy that gets straight up the field and doesn't dance in the hole is a bad thing at all. I also don't get all the Haynes hate around here, though. HE'S AVERAGING 4 YARDS A CARRY FOR THE SEASON! I don't care if he doesn't look "pretty" while doing it.
11/3/2010 9:12:27 AM
I see what he's saying, at least I think I do. It's great that Haynes runs North/South, and cuts out all the bullshit. He's not denying his running capability. It's that he doesn't make himself aware of where the hit is coming from and therefore fails to make adjustments before impact. At least I think that's what he means. Whether or not it's true, I have no idea. I will say that Haynes needs to quit putting the ball on the ground. Coming down to the wire, with nothing but crucial ACC games left, it's a problem.
11/3/2010 9:21:31 AM
mustafa is a beast. give him the rock. rotate james washington and dean haynes sporadically. i like dean, but you just cant put the ball on the ground. what do you expect when you suddenly take a guy from the other side of the ball and tell him to run with it? i know he played RB in high school but the speed of the game will catch up to someone that is unfamiliar with it, and that's what is happening with dean. he's got to protect the ball much quicker and maybe change how he handles it. he may be carrying it too low.

I agree. I like Haynes as a player, but our team is not always going to be able to recover from his fumbles. Who knows if the score would ever have been so close if not for the fumble leading to opportunities and momentum for FSU. We gotta play Mustafa until we can be sure Haynes is unlikely to drop the ball, and our team needs to run rip drills on Haynes like the fuckin train until he can hold on to the ball

i'd like to see a Greene-Underwood combo used more

MORR1799 yea almost the whole game. I usually don't watch the 2nd qtr that much. But what others have said: yea, i like the way Dean runs in a no nonsense kind of way. He consistently pounds out 4 and 5 yards if not more everytime he touches the ball. With that said, you watch the way Mustafa runs, im not talking about the cutting which has just been unreal in some games, but im talking about pad level. Did u see that run where he knocked Nigel Bradham (a big stud LB) on his ass.Dean runs like a safety who has intercepted a pass and is running it back. He's solid, don't get me wrong, but he runs so tall. FSU LB's lit him up though that game. What I admired about FSU, all of their defenders, is that they tackle thru the ball, their point of stoppage is 3 yards behind you.[Edited on November 3, 2010 at 12:01 PM. ^^SecondedSo, what do we know about this Tajh Boyd? Is he a mobile QB? Has he played any this season? Is this the sign Clemson is packing it up for the rest of the year and getting their QB some reps before he starts next season? I need analysis on these things!
11/3/2010 12:43:23 PM
^^^^^Swinney also said he expects Kyle Parker to have his best game of the year against the State defense. Coach double-speak or bulletin board material? Hopefully Irving, Cole, Lemon and company will make sure Parker spends plenty of time on the ground and show that we have the best professional baseball player/quarterback in the conference.
11/3/2010 12:55:36 PM
Boyd: very highly recruited and rated. was invited to the Elite11video of him junior year: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oD89VaLYobghe looks cut from the same mold as Tyrod, almost identical build. He played against presbyterian earlier this year, his only action i think, and threw a bad INT but also had a TD run, although, this is presbyterian, hated by Roy Williams.
11/3/2010 1:10:52 PM
Let me preface this by saying that I am a huge Mustafa fan and think he should be the starting tailback. I did want to point out that if the biggest beef about Haynes is fumbling, it needs to be put in perspective. He's fumbled 3 times compared to Mustafa's 2 fumbles. The biggest difference is that Haynes lost 2 of those while Mustafa was lucky enough not to lose any.So before we paint Haynes as a fumble-machine, let's remember that he only fumbled once more than Mustafa. Granted Moose has 22 more carries and is averaging a whole yard more than Haynes (4.9 yd avg. versus 3.9). Still a 3.9 yd. average is pretty strong.Just keep winning baby!! GO PACK!!![Edited on November 3, 2010 at 2:17 PM. Reason : .]
