he should just play a song about the city when he announcesNY: it'd be funny if he played the Jay-Z song since it's not his teamCleveland: as has been alluded to, the drew carey show theme songMiami: will smithChicago: bad bad leroy brownNJ: ODB - brooklyn zoo

yes, I'm going to kill myself if Lebron leaves cleveland. My life will mean nothing anymore but honestly, I cant see him going to New York (I dont know where JT3bucky is getting his rumors from, I'd be interested in finding out where he heard them), or New Jersey, or Chicago (I never thought he would go to Chicago simply because of the jordan effect there). I think its down to Cleveland and Miami. He could make a dynasty in Miami if he joins Wade and Bosh. But then again, he will ALWAYS be second fiddle to Wade in Miami. Dwyane made the Heat the team they are now, he runs Miami just like Lebron runs Cleveland. Thats the exact reason I dont think he'll go to Miami. I still think he will be back in Cleveland. He is courting all of these teams and listening to their offers just to scare the Cavs fans and make them appreciate him that much more. He has a championship caliber team in Cleveland - so if its about winning, he has it in Cleveland. If its about the money, the Cavs can offer him $30 mil more than anyone else. Lebron and his friends will forever be the kings of Cleveland and Ohio, even if he NEVER wins a championship there, he will be worshiped forever. if he goes to Chicago, New York or Miami, he will be seen as a failure unless he wins multiple championships. Finally, if he leaves Cleveland, he will be hated by everyone in his beloved state - even people in his hometown will lose love for him. However, if he stays, the fans of Chicago, Miami and New York will like him just the same as they did before free agency started because he didnt directly rip their hearts out.thats just my 2 centsif Lebron leaves, I'm not going to watch the NBA anymore until CJ Leslie, Ryan Harrow and Lorenzo Brown take over the league

^ you think Garnett shares top billing with Paul Pierce in Boston?[Edited on July 7, 2010 at 4:29 PM. Reason : .]
7/7/2010 4:29:10 PM
7/7/2010 4:30:40 PM
Garnett isn't Lebron. And Boston loves KG just as much as Pierce when he plays well. But Pierce is the better player right now. So your argument is not valid.Lebron will be equal or better than Wade in Miami.
7/7/2010 4:31:12 PM
Im saying Boston will love Pierce because hes the guy that has always been there, and he didnt even win a ring without the others. Wade won a ring without those guys. Its his town.
7/7/2010 4:33:48 PM
Also Garnett was already 30 when he came to Boston.LeBron is 25His prime is just beginning

what, am i supposed to photoshop something?
7/7/2010 4:42:41 PM
I just read DROD's post. That shit is laughable. About as biased as you can get.Good luck Cleveland fans, you'll need it.
7/7/2010 4:42:44 PM
DROD has the mindset of a 10 year old fan who wears a starter pullover jacket and had no grasp of the economic reality of sports. Everything is just peaches and cream to him.And dweedle, just do a tracker thing like you did for Cal a few years back.
7/7/2010 4:44:41 PM
I really, really hope he goes to Miami. That team would be so much fun to watch...they just need a shooter and they'd be unstoppable.
7/7/2010 4:45:13 PM

7/7/2010 4:49:20 PM
^if that rumor is true, how does it affect LeBron's decision? Didn't Boozer ditch LeBron a few years ago?
7/7/2010 4:53:15 PM
Boozer and Noah have to be the ugliest front court combo in NBA History

So the East is getting tougher. They get Amare and Boozer and lose no one of note thus farThe Bobcats will be hard pressed to make the playoffs again next season
7/7/2010 5:05:27 PM
^^don't get mad because your team is gonna suck balls next year. Who is their biggest star gonna be? Mo Williams? hahahahaha[Edited on July 7, 2010 at 5:06 PM. Reason : ^]

Assuming Lebron doesn't join Bosh & Wade in Miami...who you guys think Miami will target to spend the rest of their FA money on? Obvious needs are PG, C, & shooter. Felton, M Miller, & Shaq to join Bosh & Wade?
7/7/2010 5:06:49 PM
7/7/2010 5:07:37 PM
Nice try, but we have a top 3 arena in the league and a lease thats impossible to get out of for 20 years
7/7/2010 5:09:13 PM
haha, was worth a shot
7/7/2010 5:09:41 PM
7/7/2010 5:10:09 PM
We covered that in detail a few pages backI think beyond that tho, the team isn't a great fitHe needs a great shooting PG, and Rose can't shoot
7/7/2010 5:13:02 PM
My bad, haven't been keeping up with the thread. I'm not saying Chicago IS a great fit. I'm just saying I never understood why some mythical "Jordan effect" would keep him from playing there.
7/7/2010 5:16:21 PM
Michael Jordan stuck with one team his whole career and made them into a championship contender every season. He didnt have to leave and join another big star in order to build a dynasty. He also changed the Bulls from a middle of the pack franchise into arguably the most popular NBA team in the entire world. Sure the Lebron/Jordan comparisons will happen no matter what, but they will be magnified if he goes to Chicago - the team that Jordan made famous. He will be trying to do the same exact thing to the Bulls now as Jordan did in the 80s/90s. Only Lebron will never be able to eclipse Jordan, maybe if he won 10 championships in a row.and you guys are going to have to come a lot harder if you want to troll me. I've been listening to sports talks' trolls for years in the Ohio State threads
7/7/2010 5:17:37 PM
We're not trolling you; we're simply stating the fact that your jaded point of view is anything but beyond reproach.and in reference to Boozer
7/7/2010 5:19:43 PM
i have been proven wrong, yet again
7/7/2010 5:22:00 PM
7/7/2010 5:24:14 PM
^ well that just further shows what I was saying in the first place. Jordan's shadow has nothing to do with whether or not Lebron plays there. That's all. I'm not even picking on DROD for saying it. I've heard that several times over the past few weeks all over the place. Just never made sense to me.
7/7/2010 5:30:49 PM
For the record, I am picking on DROD
