Love beagles and black labs, also yorkies and miniature schnouzers. Not really a fan of dogs with no snout.

My grandmother has a miniature schnauzer. That thing is crazy as hell She has a thing for the crazy breeds though. She also has two jack russells. I hate those things so much.

^Mine have a cross between a jack russell and a poodle. I can outrun their dog and it will get winded well before I will on jogs - and I'm terribly out of shape.Just about every dog they've ever owned has ensured a few more years of me not getting a dog. I had a miniature schnauzer growing up... that dog would pee in the house then you'd discipline it for that, and it would pee and poop IN your bed.
7/20/2011 2:22:59 PM
haha yeah schnauzers are not the brightest dogs
7/20/2011 2:25:21 PM

All the dogs I've ever owned have been mutts except a Brittaney Spaniel that got hit by a car only 3-4 months after I got it.

I want a dog that I can play frisbee with but won't chew up all my stuff.

Going to be surprising the gf with an Italian Spinone in about a month. Her parents have one as does her sister. I was indifferent towards them at first (I like all dogs as long as you can't fit them in a purse), but after hanging around her family's dogs, I've come to really like them.I think we're getting a brown one:Her sister has an all white:And her parents have a white/orange:I'm pretty pumped.I'm still very partial to boxers...but I have to get this breed "out of the way" before I can whatever dog I want.[Edited on May 25, 2012 at 10:43 AM. 5/25/2012 11:05:11 AM

5/25/2012 11:11:55 AM

My papa used to breed and show pyraneese. They are pretty fucking big. 4' is probably about right for the height of the kid.
5/25/2012 11:14:00 AM
I really really like english bulldogs...but I like the option of being active with my dog. They definitely have their limits with physical activity.
5/25/2012 11:15:51 AM
My grandmother has a Pyrenees. Laziest dog she owns
5/25/2012 11:19:20 AM

5/25/2012 11:28:32 AM
I grew up with a Shetland and he was awesome. Little too small for my preference at this point. Very smart dogs though.
5/25/2012 11:39:07 AM
All of the dogs in this thread are GORGEOUS!!I pretty much adore every dog, but I am in LOVE with my toy poodle, Mo.He's my little cuddlebug.

Of course I'm gonna choose my American BulldogBut I do wanna get another large dog one day (when I have a house and a yard) for Trixie to play with. My mom wants to take my dog and get me a chocolate lab because she doesn't wanna go thru the process of training it

Other than Lhasa Apsos, I love just about all mid to large breed dogs, especially labs and danes
5/25/2012 1:26:05 PM
I like mutts. In particular, I prefer to "save" mutts.
5/25/2012 1:27:19 PM

Pretty sure I already posted in here about how awesome Scottish Deerhounds are.Today at Starbucks some guy had a dog that I am pretty sure was one of them. While he was inside getting his drink, I pet it and it only reinforced how cool these dogs are. I would totally want one but I don't have an active enough lifestyle cause they have a lot of energy. But he was so cute and friendly and awesome. Also, the guy was walking around wearing those Vibram shoes.

I'd love to have a King Charles Cavalier, but they have such bad hearts, and that is something I couldn't deal with...I still love Labs (what I grew up with) and my mutt (a staffordshire/pitty/boxer sort of mix), but I can definitely appreciate the luxury of having a smaller dog. I don't see the need to have a dog over 50lbs unless it is a working dog of some sort, or you just have a ton of space. I feel bad when I see people with Danes and other 100lb+ beasts that live in 1 and 2 bedroom apartments because they need room to move around. I will do my best to talk my wife into a smaller dog for our next pet, but I'm also pushing to get a pig!
