Speak for yourselfJohn Hollinger is a god

Interesting. Probably not going to happen, but I don't hate the idea.
3/1/2010 10:17:44 PM
whats sad is that a year ago i wouldnt have taken him but after jake's play, i would now
3/2/2010 9:41:45 AM
I wanted Vick last yearI've hated Jake since the dawn of timeI was the drunk guy in the upper deck 4 years ago leading the "PUT IN WIENKE!" chant[Edited on March 2, 2010 at 9:49 AM. Reason : x]
3/2/2010 9:49:21 AM
youre a superstar
3/2/2010 9:52:16 AM
^^I agree with your first two statements.Vick used to abuse the Panthers, why not bring him over on our side?
3/3/2010 12:02:41 AM
3/3/2010 12:16:22 AM
id take vick. with our running game, he would be sick. and he can lob prayers to smitty as well as jake can
3/3/2010 12:25:53 AM
The Eagles already said they are picking up his option so it looks like he won't be a Panther.praise jeebus
3/3/2010 12:41:04 AM
I was hoping we would take him last year. The Eagles don't need him, we do.
3/3/2010 11:08:11 AM
From what i've heard, if the eagles pay take his option, it is solely to lock him up so they can get something for him on the trade market.Seems like it would be Fox's dream QB...The might only throw 5 times a game next season if vick comes. I'd still like to see Moore get a real shot, but I'd take anything over Delhomme
3/3/2010 11:29:05 AM
LONG LIVE JAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
3/3/2010 12:43:28 PM
Julius Peppers' agent had a meeting with the Bears. Isn't that tampering?
3/3/2010 1:15:48 PM
Probably...his agent is almost as dumb as he is though
3/3/2010 6:03:11 PM
In this shitty economy not taking Vick would be the dumbest move ever. A starting QB who has the potential to be good for almost no money.Take the fucking guy, we have Matt Moore as our other option. Delhomme isnt bad as a 3rd option and he can help the other two guys learn the offense, he owes us that for as much as he makes
3/3/2010 6:40:17 PM
3/3/2010 6:43:38 PM
It looks like things between the Bears and Peppers are hot and heavy right now. Look for him to pull a Haynesworth and agree to a deal just hours into free agency.I heard on the radio earlier that Panthers offered him a long term deal worth $14 mill per year at the last minute and he turned it down.
3/4/2010 9:22:10 AM
"slightly"
3/4/2010 9:34:58 AM
We placed a 1st & 3rd round tender on Moore, the same we had previously done for T Davis. Looks like he should be here to stay and shows what the organization thinks of him despite all the waffling.
3/4/2010 12:05:13 PM
Yeah its a good sign. If we lose Davis or Moore, we jump into the 1st round. I still have worries that Jake will start in week 1, but as long as Fox is comfortable pulling him at halftime like he did Rodney Peete, I'm ok with it.
3/4/2010 1:31:40 PM
^To be honest, I'll be surprised if the Panthers don't trade a future first to get back in this year's first round regardless of what players go, stay, or are added to the team
3/4/2010 1:54:01 PM
^
3/4/2010 2:11:27 PM
^fox will probably try...Since, like last year, this could be his last shot here. But I would doubt Richardson is going to let them do that again....Sadly, I bet they're more likely to move one of the RB's to get into the first round.I really think we wouldn't suffer too much from not having a first rounder this year. We've got a solid core and can probably get some good FA deals to fill our glaring needs....I hope they make a push to get Kevin Walter.
3/4/2010 2:29:48 PM
^^^no one is gonna want a future first for next year with the lock out possibility
3/4/2010 5:15:12 PM
Yeah I agree. Why would they trade a sure thing in a very good draft this year for the possibility of nothing?
3/4/2010 5:31:38 PM
Clearly I couldn't have been kidding since they've traded a future 1st rounder each of the last two years

Please just give the job to Moore and keep both running backs. Throw in a #2 reciever and some defensive line and maybe another option at nickle if Captain can't get it done. Please don't fuck this up hurney.
3/4/2010 10:54:21 PM
and they cut damione lewis, one of the only decent DT's they had. wonder what the plan is here
3/4/2010 10:56:20 PM
They picked up Ed Johnson, and I guess kemo is coming back, and we haveIrvin and Tank. Add maybe one solid option and go with that.[Edited on March 4, 2010 at 11:04 PM. Reason : WTF]
3/4/2010 11:03:25 PM
THANK YOU HURNEY!Delhomme had to go
3/4/2010 11:03:26 PM
3/4/2010 11:22:31 PM
wow.NO WAY MOORE IS UNCONTESTED STARTERdefinitely means a FA QB is in their sights (but who?) plz not vick or favre

[Edited on March 4, 2010 at 11:50 PM. Reason : Next QB of the Carolina Panthers]
3/4/2010 11:48:54 PM
McNabb
3/4/2010 11:50:09 PM
We better be making room for Vick and not Tebow. I will denounce my fanhood.
3/4/2010 11:51:48 PM
gahfuck trading anything for mcnabbmoore has proven to be decent, we dont need a world beater. we are down enough assets as it is, get some competition in free agency and leave it at that.[Edited on March 4, 2010 at 11:52 PM. Reason : i, too, will question my fanhood if we draft tebow]
3/4/2010 11:52:13 PM
Lol at the Tebow hate. Hasn't thrown a NFL pass and you are already hating.I really don't get the Tebow hate...he's got to be the most likable guy ever.
3/5/2010 12:06:54 AM
I like Tebow.I also like Armanti Edwards.I have my doubts about either of them being NFL QB's.
3/5/2010 12:08:54 AM
Armanti is way too small but he still might make it as a KR or WR or something.I know I am in the big minority but I like Tebow's NFL stock but I think it will take a few years.
3/5/2010 12:09:56 AM
McNabb seems to show interest in Arizona. I doubt its him. If anything I see it being Vick which i dont see at all...I'll go with it being Moore and a FA like Garcia or something.
3/5/2010 12:25:58 AM
Personally, I'm comfortable going into the season with Matt Moore as the starter and grabbing a cheap backup veteran to help him learn and give us depth. Someone like Kerry Collins would be fine with me.I don't want to throw a big deal at QB when we don't know the future salary cap structure... also, the money is better off spent elsewhere in my opinion. Our defense played pretty well late last year and if we add a weapon on offense and a few guys here and there we should be playoff contenders again.
3/5/2010 1:19:22 AM
Kemo's fat ass will be next, his contract is structured the same way as Lewis...
3/5/2010 1:20:12 AM
expected that peppers to the bears will be a done deal tomorrow
