im not saying almost counts in sports. im just saying we're not a C squad. If we're going by winning then Brazil, Argentina, France, England, Uraguay and Italy are the only teams better than us.
6/16/2009 10:57:24 PM
^ ummm Spain, Germany, Holland, + quite a few other teamswe're better than a "C" team but take it easyokay I see what you're saying about if winning was all that matters but still[Edited on June 16, 2009 at 11:02 PM. Reason : .]
6/16/2009 11:01:21 PM
whoops i meant to add germany, but i meant world cups cuz we dont play in euros. i know we're not the best team or anything, i was just saying were a good team
6/16/2009 11:04:59 PM
^^^All I'm saying is that Italy, Germany, and Brazil have shown that they are better than the rest of the world because they have won the most World Cups and they continue to do well in the World Cup. On the other hand you have teams like England who always make it to the knockout phase, but can just never seem to get that top 4 finish like Barzil does most of the time. Then you have teams like the USA, Republic of Korea, Costa Rica, etc who can get there, but either can't make it past the group phase most of the time, or lose out before the simi-finals. That is why I called the USA a C team. England is a step up from the USA, but they aren't Italy.[Edited on June 16, 2009 at 11:09 PM. Reason : .]

i did predict an italy triumph in the '06 wc, but holland was my 2nd place team...i believe holland will take the '10 cup and get the monkey off their backalso...http://www.youtube.com/results?search_type=&search_query=RONALDO+DIVE&aq=fi love how you guys talk about italian soccer...i'm sure you watch so much!
6/17/2009 12:22:16 AM
u mad?
6/17/2009 12:28:14 AM
^^It's hard to say. Anything can happen. Don't count out England, Germany, Italy, Brazil, etc.
6/17/2009 12:45:25 AM
or how about SPAINyou know, the best team in the world
6/17/2009 7:37:06 AM
^No doubt they will be a favorite too.HalftimeSpain 0 Iraq 0
6/17/2009 10:58:21 AM
i am semi-watching this game during class...it appears spain is possessing the ball at an 90% clip...does iraq have a midfield, or are they playing the classic 8-0-2?
6/17/2009 11:32:19 AM
they are playing the steve sampson formation...amilol!?soon to be man utd player (lol, dont care if they buy him or not) david villa scored for spain earlier[Edited on June 17, 2009 at 11:35 AM. Reason : k]

6/17/2009 11:43:55 AM
spain is looking very exposed in the back...if iraq knew how to pass instead of trying to dribble through the last players they could easily have some really good chances to tie this game up
6/17/2009 11:48:43 AM
yeah it looked like spain was more concerned with putting another one in the net...iraq had some good counter attacks but couldn't make anything of them
6/17/2009 11:55:25 AM
i wouldve like to see a tying goal, that long haired iraqi guy was a dribbling ball hog with his head always down. he was the focus of the counter attacks but seemed to ruin them all too
6/17/2009 11:59:21 AM
^Yeh that was stupid. Iraq was gassed and not even chasing the ball, but Spain kept trying to score and kept putting the ball over the line, so Iraq could restart their offense with a goal kick. It would have been funny, if Iraq would have tied it late.
6/17/2009 12:00:39 PM
that one dude on iraq has to feel bad after letting that wide open corner hit him right in the shins instead of blasting it into the net.
6/17/2009 12:41:55 PM
South Africa and New Zealand kick off.
6/17/2009 2:32:47 PM
Wow Fanteni duffed that one, bad.
6/17/2009 2:35:10 PM

6/17/2009 2:42:49 PM
I would have liked to see Mahmoud play a little more without that long-haired faggot fucking up every chance they got.
6/17/2009 2:45:44 PM

6/17/2009 2:59:39 PM

6/17/2009 5:47:44 PM
off topic (don't feel like starting a WC Qualifying thread):North Korea qualified today, first time since 66.
6/17/2009 6:57:16 PM
That means both North Korea and South Korea will be in the WC finals. If they meet, it might start WW3.
6/17/2009 7:40:31 PM
No probably just a 0-0 tie like they had 2 out of the last 3 games.^

6/17/2009 9:57:08 PM
this is why i like the confederations cup...i have absolutely nothing to watch sportswise...but a year before the WC i get to watch world class teams who brought their A squad for a month
6/17/2009 9:58:15 PM
yes, more soccer is never a bad thing in my life
6/17/2009 9:59:28 PM
i grew up in NC before Futbol was cool; only "gay" kids played it. Now i have such an amazing appreciation for it #1 because its hard as hell. To me someone like a Zidane is just in another league even compared to someone like Jordan or Larry Bird or Magic Johnson. When i see guys take a 40 yard pass and stop it with their foot, or curl in a 30 yard set piece, wow.
6/17/2009 10:48:08 PM
you right.
6/17/2009 10:49:19 PM
Beaseley and Klesjak starting, Feilhaber and obviously Clark out.
6/18/2009 9:44:25 AM
what a fucking joke, I hope we lose 5-0
6/18/2009 9:46:50 AM
shit i forgot to dvr, but since we have an idiot ass coach i prob wont need to worry. feilhaber was the worst on the field last game. wtf is he doing in there against brazil? and god no to beasley, i can only hope they prove me wrong but i wouldnt have started either...beasley wouldnt even be on my radar
6/18/2009 9:49:16 AM
Feilhaber isn't starting
6/18/2009 9:50:17 AM
haha its early for me, i think i read his name and just assume hes starting. well im happy he saw that and changed him for K. but still dont like beasley starting
6/18/2009 9:52:31 AM
I'm not a fan of Beasley, Kljestan, or Dempsey starting
6/18/2009 9:53:13 AM
I love when Dempsey comes on as a high-energy sub, he always breathes life into the team.
6/18/2009 9:55:11 AM
yeah dempsey hasnt exactly been stellar for our national team :/
6/18/2009 9:57:39 AM
