blerg, i'm on a machine w/ no flash.
4/8/2011 6:45:07 PM
I don't have any non-flash way of telling you it's "heaven"Some commercial with Hamilton I saw during lunchSeems like a smart dude
4/8/2011 6:46:43 PM
nah he's a pretty smart dude. he wrote a book, you know?
4/8/2011 6:56:29 PM
had a guest speaker in the personal leadership class (AEE 350). It was a guy named Ashley that has down syndrome. He talked to us about his life, and how in high school Josh Hamilton was his best friend.Josh actually talks about him in his book. You can read the page on google books herelinkhe talked for alteast 10 min about when he went to josh's gmas house for grilled cheeses[Edited on April 8, 2011 at 7:45 PM. Reason : ][Edited on April 12, 2011 at 7:22 PM. Reason : long link is long]
4/8/2011 7:44:32 PM
Yeah I read that in the book. He used to sit next to him on the bus and shit.
4/8/2011 8:14:48 PM
^^ Cool story about Ashley. He always loved being around Josh during our games at Athens.
4/9/2011 12:01:33 AM
I bet he wishes he signed a better contract now

other way to look at is that perhaps this justifies his crappy contract
4/12/2011 8:51:30 PM
Holy injury pron. Broken arm and out up to 6 weeks. They are gonna just make him a DH or some shit now. And sub in a pinch runner.

4/12/2011 10:56:02 PM
HEYO
4/12/2011 10:58:36 PM
No but I googled heroin and bone since those are two of the more important things to your boy. After a while, constantly being injured stops being bad luck and starts being "son you ruined your body doing H and crack rock".[Edited on April 12, 2011 at 10:59 PM. Reason : .]
4/12/2011 10:58:49 PM
yeah but he's from raleigh!
4/12/2011 11:05:37 PM
Glad I passed him over in my draft now!
4/13/2011 8:53:00 AM
Dumbass to blame the 3B coach. Anyone who's ever play baseball at any level knows its ultimately the runner's call whether to go or not. The coaches are just there to assist you.
4/13/2011 10:48:53 AM
^^^^ I don't see anything in that article about a healthy persons use of drugs thinning their bones. ^ they are a pretty aggressive ball team on the base paths and the coaches have said that they like to run when at all possible. I don't totally agree with your statement. I had my fair share of ass chewings in high school because I didn't listen to the base coaches. I've seen college players chewed for not listening to them in games. The only time It has ever been a suggestion for me is in a "beer league" softball game where the coaches 11 year old son was third base coach... But hey, everyones coaches are different and not many (if any) of us have been to a higher level than high school ball.
4/13/2011 2:11:27 PM
No major league base coach has final say on anything. Completely different from high school baseball.
4/13/2011 2:13:45 PM
Bit of a difference between HS and college players vs the reigning MVP making 8 figures. You see runners run thru stop signs at 3rd all the time; this is the same concept, just the other way around. If Hamilton didn't think he could make it, he shouldn't have gone. Its not a situation where he can't see the play developing and had to rely on his coach...it was all right in front of him.[Edited on April 13, 2011 at 2:15 PM. Reason : Oh, Ernie, I hate when we agree on something]
4/13/2011 2:14:20 PM
All I said was I didn't totally agree with your statement... At that level Im sure it is more up to them to make the final decision but like I said, they are an aggressive ball team and he is an aggressive player. He could have easliy broken that bone on the slide 2 minutes before that one on the RBI triple.
4/13/2011 2:33:28 PM
Colin was busting on him pretty hard this morning.
4/13/2011 2:36:30 PM
Even if you can blame the 3B coach for sending him, he didn't tell him to slide Willy Mays Hayes style. Thats on him, no matter where you stand on the issue.
4/13/2011 2:41:00 PM
I played 3,562 games, you faggots.
4/13/2011 2:47:25 PM
^^ like I said, he could have easily gotten hurt on the slide before. It was a freak play. plenty of people have broken ankles sliding feet first. the guy is 240 pounds. He's going to get hurt with the way he plays. ^lol
4/13/2011 3:02:22 PM
Weight and play style have little to do with. He's quickly becoming the Andrew Bynum of baseball. And who breaks their ankles going feet first?
4/13/2011 3:04:49 PM
Also acceptable:(In a motherfucking all-star game)
4/13/2011 3:07:23 PM
The 3rd base coach was all like "Look Josh, theres nobody covering home plate, go break your arm"
4/13/2011 3:14:58 PM
i think what Ernie is trying to say is that Josh Hamilton is like Pete Rose, except not awesome. Also, Hamilton shouldn't have blamed the coach. Bitch move on his part. Also, how long til he is photographed completely sober in a bar shirtless with drunk bitches doing body shots? You know, since he won't be playing ball.[Edited on April 13, 2011 at 3:19 PM. Reason : derp]
4/13/2011 3:17:09 PM
No telling. Luckily, while he was hurt last year no one had cameras at the bars he went to.
4/13/2011 3:37:17 PM
The dragon will come to call at some point, be it now, 5 years from now, or when he's done playing altogether. Junkies never completely stop.
4/13/2011 3:39:52 PM
I guess we will see. I have faith in him that he won't make that mistake again.
4/13/2011 3:43:33 PM
faith is a helluva drug
4/13/2011 3:52:01 PM
The biggest different between being poor and rich is access to better drugs. There is nothing in life like a heroin high. Good luck with Jesus Act, but I give him less than 50/50.
4/13/2011 3:54:26 PM
Welcome back. 2-4 with a double and a HR.
5/23/2011 11:49:05 PM
I'm guessing that besides his injury history, the reason that Hamilton signed such a shitty contract is that he's had several relapses in his 3 years with the Rangers. This is the only one that became news, but you gotta imagine that the team has had to drag him out of at least a few crackhouses on road trips. No team is gonna give a junkie a blank check.[Edited on May 24, 2011 at 12:01 AM. Reason : 2]
5/23/2011 11:59:36 PM
Yeah and also because he murdered those homeless guys. And he screwed Laura bush. And that high speed duck boat chase

You can't really blame a guy for trying to figure out why he sucks during the day but plays awesome at night can you?
6/23/2011 7:05:06 PM
^^I can't ever figure out if this guy is serious or not.Huge disparity in his numbers. Went yard again tonight. Fuck the haters Josh.
6/25/2011 1:08:35 AM
that sounds familiar.. people using those contacts that make their eyes look red. i think it was the rangers that did it 4-5 years ago, seems like i remember Michael Young using them
6/25/2011 1:20:20 AM
Think this would be more news worthy if he was blaming bad hitting in general on havin blue eyes.
6/25/2011 9:47:05 AM
Apparently theres some merit to it, according to some potentially wonk doctor related to ESPN. Knowing nothing about vision, I could maybe see where a lighter eye color might take in more light? Regardless, if thats the case, and I dont think it is, man up and get some shades.
