TSC is still my favorite purely from a listening standpoint, but probably from more of a nostalgic perspective I guess. I really enjoy them all.

HUGE congrats to the guys in BTBAM!

"The Great Misdirect" debuted at #36 on the Billboard 200 with first-week sales of roughly 13,400!

Previous chart performance (first week sales):

Colors Live (2008) - #100
Colors (2007) - #57 (12,500)
Anatomy Of (2006) - #151 (7,000)
Alaska (2005) - #121 (8,500)

No charting for TSC or S/T

^^I love silent circus for but some reason Alaska has always been my favorite. I guess it might be because its the first album that really got me into them. I had listened to silent circus but it never grabbed me like Alaska. But I really like the new one and colors will probably always be considered their "masterpiece". Also very happy for them charting so high...NC represent

Yea I really don't know what to expect on this EP. I was honestly kind of hoping they would take a step back and write an almost straight metal album since it is just planned to be an EP but I know that isn't the case.

Quote :
"As expected, Between The Buried And Me will be recording a new EP this month. The group is currently in Toronto, Canada and will track the material during the next ten days with engineer/producer David Bottrill at the helm. In addition to winning three Grammys, Bottrill has produced several notable releases, including Tool's Aenima [& Lateralus], King Crimson's Thrak, and Muse's Origin of Symmetry.

According to the band, "a half hour of new music" will be recorded."

yea, not sure what's up with that. They said before that there would be a new GC album in 2010 but obviously that never happened. Jake isn't in the band anymore either (not really a surprise since they haven't really been doing much). I'm sure Dusty and Blake will write something more at some point though.

without fail, I'll buy it and go watch it live.

not even into metal/metalcore/hardcore much at all these days, but they always keep my interest.

Pre-order: http://www.metalblade.com/btbam/

Tracklist:

1. Specular Reflection
2. Augment of Rebirth
3. Lunar Wilderness

Wish it wasn't three 10 minute songs but at least the sound clip was promising. Really wish they would go back to writing awesome ~4-6 minute songs but as long as the material is good I won't complain too much.

I like the gray with brown lettering kid monster shirt but you can't get it with the package.

Are you guys getting any of them?

I probably have enough BTBAM shirts purchased between 2002 and 2005 to last me a lifetime They do have some cool shirts though so I dono. I'll definitely pre-order the CD and attend a release show (if they do one) as always though.

I have so many black rock and metal shirts already so I try and buy the non-black shirts when I can. They are rare though.

I ended up cancelling my order.

I got an email last week saying that it had been shipped so I assumed everything was fine. When I didn't get it by Wednesday, I sent them an email asking when I could expect it. They then told me that they don't process the payment until they ship and that my payment did not go through. I used paypal to pay for it so it should have been fine. I finally figured out that paypal authorized the payment for a month but the company never excepted the charges so it expired. They told me to make sure that the funds were there and they would try again.

So I cancelled it and bought it at Best Buy for $9.99. Sucks that I won't get the shirt but I didn't want to wait for it. It's pretty lame that they didn't even notify me of the problem and even sent me an email telling me that it was on the way to my house. I really wanted to support them over Best Buy too because I assume BTBAM gets more % from these sales.

As far as the CD, I'm only about halfway through so far.

Yeah I have definitely been enjoying this. Still some aspects of their current stuff that I am not huge on but overall still a great band that I will probably always support.

PS, took me long enough to respond in this thread post-release
