Meh, I enjoy it.
4/2/2009 1:56:41 PM
it's pretty shitty but I always end up watching it because theres nothing else on at 8 before himym
4/2/2009 2:20:16 PM
btttthem trying to hide robin's IRL pregnancy is getting ridiculous
4/27/2009 8:40:07 PM
I really don't think they're trying to actually hide it anymore. Last episode (Mosbius Designs?) especially, it seemed like they were intentionally making really bad attempts to hide it.Solid episode though.

"Why do we keep trying to have sex with Ted?""I dunno, it's kinda weird, isn't it?"
4/28/2009 8:30:26 AM
This season was definitely lacking early on, but it's been pretty consistent lately... I love this show
4/28/2009 8:47:18 AM
I guess the "when I met your mother, I called her the next day" line means that Victoria (the baker) won't be returning?
4/28/2009 9:04:38 AM
i wanna watch this show from start to finish, i've heard great things and i love the idea of a gay guy playing a womanizer for pretend. who owns the dvds and wants to burn me a copy or let me borrow them?
4/28/2009 12:24:02 PM
4/28/2009 1:46:50 PM
^^I did the same thing with Netflix. It's fun to watch from the beginning, since they tie back into past episodes so frequently. Also interesting to see Ted's relationship evolution. I think each season is only 3 discs, so each dvd has quite a few episodes.
4/28/2009 3:02:11 PM
Most annoying thing to me about rewatching it is Ted and Robin's relationship... because you already know how it works out. Kind of like watching the first few seasons of The Office - the Jim and Pam stuff is annoying but it doesn't completely ruin rewatchability
4/28/2009 3:47:39 PM
haha i don't know where the relationship goes (unless it has to do with the pregnant girl from American Pie, then i guess i know where it goes )[Edited on April 28, 2009 at 3:50 PM. Reason : wait, is that even the same show? i thought it was...]
4/28/2009 3:49:40 PM
^Robin and Barney end up together.
4/29/2009 9:16:55 AM
thanks for ruining it douchebag Goose dies!!!!!!!The boat sinks!!!!She's really a He!!!!!
4/29/2009 9:22:07 AM
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
5/4/2009 9:00:46 PM
there is no way its her. they tricked us with the umbrella but he has had it since st patty's day 2008 and we know that it belonged to his future wife. its clearly not the umbrella of stella so its not the wife. we got tricked.
5/4/2009 9:09:16 PM
Yeah, next week will continue with how running into Stella that day caused him to meet his future wife. There's no way she's the mother, it'll probably be one of her friends or something that has the same yellow umbrella.
5/4/2009 9:18:27 PM
I will be thoroughly disappointed if Stella is his wife.
5/4/2009 9:19:30 PM
good point, i'm still pissed she's back
5/4/2009 9:21:03 PM
i've just started watching this show this season, but doesn't the "aunt robin" thing indicate that he ends up with robin's sister?
5/4/2009 9:21:39 PM
i've never taken that to mean their literal aunt...a lot of people call close friends aunts and uncles
5/4/2009 9:23:44 PM
Well, considering he also references Aunt Lily, Uncle Marshal and Uncle Barney, I guess they're all brothers and sisters.Surely, you weren't serious.
5/5/2009 8:30:11 AM
and if you'd started from the beginning you'd have known that Robin grew up an only child[Edited on May 5, 2009 at 8:43 AM. Reason : tone it down]
5/5/2009 8:41:04 AM
it was a reasonable question. he said that he started watching it this season. also i fully expect the goat story to be revealed next episode. this is about the time of year they do ted's annual birthday episode.
5/5/2009 10:04:02 AM
This show isn't serial like 24 and Lost where you have to watch every ep or you're totally lostBut it sure helps...I missed a few weeks and some of the jokes went over my headThe great thing about these 1/2 hour shows is that you can bang out 2 or 3 of them on your lunch break[Edited on May 5, 2009 at 10:12 AM. Reason : x]
5/5/2009 10:11:51 AM
5/5/2009 10:17:28 AM
^^it's definitely one of the more serial 1/2 hour programs on these days. The inside jokes are really rewarding/hilarious for the long-time viewer.
5/5/2009 10:48:13 AM
the intervention joke last night was pretty random if you've never seen the other episodes.
5/5/2009 11:02:32 AM
5/5/2009 11:13:12 AM
PWNT
5/5/2009 11:14:02 AM
^^you are right. Katie Scherbatsky (sister) i retract my harsh statement! but urge you to go back and watch from the beginning. it will be worth it
5/5/2009 11:32:09 AM
God, I haven't seen an episode since "The Stinsons"Where can I watch them online (CBS seems to only have the last 2-3 on their website)?
5/5/2009 2:13:32 PM
download them illegallythats what we do

5/5/2009 6:09:12 PM
unless barney were to marry Ted's sister and Ted and Lily are both children of the goat.EPICPLOTTWIST
5/5/2009 7:55:02 PM
i've never taken that to mean their literal aunt...a lot of people call close friends aunts and uncles"This is the way I've always looked at it. Although, it's possible that Ted's eventual wife has a brother that ends up marrying Robin, so then she really would be an Aunt.Although that doesn't explain Marshal and Lily or Barney.[Edited on May 5, 2009 at 11:49 PM. Reason : ^^hahahahahah fag]
5/5/2009 11:33:15 PM
is it just me, or does stella have man hands?
5/5/2009 11:53:21 PM
Tony is there with Stella. Stella doesn't want back with Ted.
5/6/2009 7:55:41 AM
^^i thought the exact same thing and was completely shocked when i saw it was sarah chalke.[Edited on May 6, 2009 at 7:58 AM. Reason : ^yeah stella isn't the mother]
5/6/2009 7:58:21 AM
i think we can all agree that Stella is not the mother and the only people who probably think she is are women.
5/6/2009 9:29:59 AM
Hey, I'm a woman and I know she's not the mother. My boyfriend thought they were going to reveal who it was on the last episode. I was like "you have to be kidding, you know they're gonna cockblock us about it". Sure enough.
5/6/2009 9:34:23 AM
My girlfriend and I both think the show should end with the revealing of the mother for the first time. The entire premise of the show is to reveal the mother so how stupid would it be for Ted to tell his kids in the series finale - "Oh remember that girl I was talking about a couple of hours ago? That was the mom, sorry about that... I just wanted to tell you a couple more stories about Barney being in love with Robin."What do you all think?
5/6/2009 9:37:03 AM
The show's been renewed right?
5/6/2009 9:44:41 AM
Yeah
5/6/2009 9:45:40 AM
^3.agreed. I think next season should end it though. they should do the robin barney thing in the first half of the season and meet the mother and then maybe one more episode with a flash forward of the gang. next season will be, what, season 6?
5/6/2009 9:47:25 AM
I could handle a couple episodes of "how i courted your mother" just to show that she has good chemistry with the gang and that she fits in well with everyone. Then end it. Don't drag it out
5/6/2009 9:53:37 AM
Obviously since it was the theme of the entire episode, the meeting with Stella is something significant and will lead to Ted's eventual hookup with "your mother." I just hope like that it's not something lame like a lesson learned, "that made me realize what i really wanted" or something like that. They were far too specific with the chain of events, maybe Stella is going to end up setting Ted up with the Mom? I dunno, but I'm ready for the return of Lily and the end of Colbie's preggerosity.
5/6/2009 11:45:09 AM
No way Ted ends up with Stella. Ted's a shulb and Sarah Chalke is far too hot. Maybe it's her friend?
5/6/2009 12:06:58 PM
still hoping its the cupcake maker from season 1
