the scene where he coughed blood all over kumar was classic.

Mos Def is the patient on House tonight
3/30/2009 7:04:47 PM
that was a pretty interesting episode, perspective-wise
3/30/2009 9:09:16 PM
that episode felt a lot like a movie. Was pretty neat. He's a good actor, I liked him in Hitchhiker's guide.
3/30/2009 9:11:43 PM
His voice is probably one of the most annoying things I have ever heard. I cringed while watching 16 blocks whenever he opened his mouth.
3/30/2009 10:15:23 PM
MASH did this 30 years ago by the way still enjoyed it
3/30/2009 10:18:07 PM
hey guys did they cure the guy at the very end this week?
3/30/2009 10:24:37 PM
Mos Def was on Real Time with Bill Mahar last week. For the most part, he was OK, but then at the end in "Overtime" (which is available on HBO.com) he showed himself to be a real jackass. The other guests were Salmon Rushdie and Christopher Hitchens. They were talking about Al Qaeda, and first, Mos Def showed clearly that he didn't know the difference between Al Qaeda and the Taliban. Then, he started going on about "i don't even know what Al Qaeda even wants. They've never said what they want!"Hitchens was taken aback, and laid out pretty clearly what Al Qaeda and the Taliban have demanded and what their overall goals are. Then the conversation basically went like:Mos Def - "yeah, well, how do you know that?"Hitchens - "are you mad? they attacked us over 8 years ago. If you don't know that by now you haven't been paying attention"Def - "I don't trust the news"Hitchens - "There are plenty of people reporting it"Def - "I don't trust the news, and I don't trust you [hitchens] and I don't trust him [Rushdie]"Hitchens - "Fine, listen to the tapes from Bin Laden himself"Def - "I don't speak Arab"Hitchens - "They are translated"Def - "I don't trust the government translators" Hitchens - "you don't trust the news, you don't trust the government, you don't trust commentators or pundits, you don't trust translators, you don't speak arab.... you're pretty much doomed to ignorance then"so, unfortunately, that's almost all I could think of during the episode whenever he talked.
3/30/2009 10:30:46 PM
^^^yeah I remember that MASH episode, was pretty cooland yeah I liked this one a lot, was a fresh perspective and I liked the color commentary on everything going on by internal-def
3/30/2009 11:48:47 PM
I hated the internal commentary and the first person perspective holy shit, I just went to watch Bill Maher's overtime after reading ^^, and Mos Def came across as one of the most ignorant bastards I have seen in a long time, but he kept trying to force his point. damn, that was just sad [Edited on March 31, 2009 at 2:35 AM. I thought this episode was really unique. It opened up the whole meaning of "House" even further for me. I think they are trying to sell House as more than just a socially inept brilliant asshole who saves lives, instead maybe his purpose on earth is divine? They definitely focused on the God-complex issue in this episode, putting House on a level higher of humanity, but below God.[Edited on March 31, 2009 at 9:38 AM. Reason : -]
3/31/2009 9:37:32 AM
fucking top gear. cancelled mah house! i'll just watch it online tho.
3/31/2009 5:00:08 PM
mos-definitely a moron in real life
3/31/2009 5:48:47 PM
I just love when hitchens was trying to be the polite englishman and kept calling him "Mr Definitely"
3/31/2009 5:49:47 PM
That clip made me cringe with embarrassment to be an American.
3/31/2009 5:59:14 PM
Mos Def is a cool motherfucker.
3/31/2009 6:09:14 PM
^^^ well, i think he was mostly doing to ti be a dick, on purpose, in order to show how stupid and juvenile it is to go around as an adult, having people call you by a rap or hip-hop pseudonym like Mos DefHitchens may be British, but he's not known for going out of his way to be polite to people. Mos Def picked the wrong time to try to make an intellectual point, though, when he was sitting across from guys like Rushdie and Hitchens.
3/31/2009 7:20:02 PM
kutner is dead?
4/6/2009 8:09:09 PM

4/6/2009 8:56:25 PM

4/6/2009 9:01:45 PM
ive missed the last couple episodes.. What led up to Kutner killing himself?
4/6/2009 9:04:39 PM
^^ me too. he was the best.^ i remember him being offended when someone killed themselves earlier. but i still think this was out of the blue
4/6/2009 9:08:29 PM
did the death cat sleep in his bed?i'd have to look.and, now im gonna go listen to nirvana.
4/6/2009 9:12:28 PM
lol, I didn't realize that was Meatloaf.Any word on why Kal Penn was written out of the story? Does he have other projects in mind, wants to get into politics, ....?
4/6/2009 9:16:59 PM
that was a really sad episode
4/6/2009 9:42:40 PM
hopefully Foreman killed Kutner and will get caught so we can get rid of him too.
4/6/2009 10:52:22 PM
I realize the whole point was that it was out of character but....that was totally out of character
4/6/2009 11:26:17 PM
Man that sucks, Kumar was always one of my favorites since they brought him in.
4/6/2009 11:58:56 PM
i am extremely interested if something is gonna go on between house and cameron.
4/7/2009 1:49:02 AM
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/04/07/kal-penn-leaving-house-fo_n_183904.htmlLooks like he is going into politics and maybe the House writers did the same thing to Kumar that they did to Chef on South Park
4/7/2009 7:48:01 AM
wasn't expecting that at all
4/7/2009 8:18:31 AM
^^not quitehttp://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2009/04/house-exclusive.html#more
4/7/2009 8:48:03 AM
A pothead with Obama, seems right. They can wear matching Che teeshirts on Tuesdays.
4/7/2009 12:18:47 PM
^you do understand that movie characters and actors who portray them are not one in the same right? and that Harold and Kumar are not real people?
4/7/2009 1:45:53 PM
No - but democrats are democrats.
4/7/2009 2:44:03 PM
I loled at GGmon's statement.
4/7/2009 2:54:04 PM
4/7/2009 7:41:10 PM
4/7/2009 8:22:30 PM
Am I the only one who finds the online shrine for Kutner to be, I don't know, mildly disturbing?
4/7/2009 8:24:11 PM
That freaked me out. I had to rush up and make sure Kal Penn didn't do himself in.
4/8/2009 12:49:46 AM
When they said they had the online obituary or whatever, I thought he may have done it in real lifebut no, just a stupid stunt by Fox that will probably be pulled by offending someoneI personally just think it's dumb
4/8/2009 7:48:08 AM
4/8/2009 12:38:27 PM
why was anyone "scared" about Kal Penn? This episode was probably filmed a month ago, if not more. Don't you think if something had actually happened to Kal Penn that we would have heard about it before his last episode of House aired?
4/8/2009 12:42:16 PM
Supposedly this happened because he's getting a spot in the Obama administration, but really I think its because the producers realized what a horrible actor he is.^^I completely forgot I posted that, but I mean it now as much as I did then.[Edited on April 8, 2009 at 2:16 PM. Reason : -]
