I think Kobe, Lebron, and Paul are the only 3 players I'd pay full price admission to go see right nowWade and Howard are a notch belowEveryone else, I'd scalp
2/2/2009 11:20:13 PM
scalp, as in purchase tickets from someone else.... or scalp as in remove the top of their head?
2/2/2009 11:21:52 PM
BUCKETS!!61 in MSG!
2/3/2009 9:46:51 AM
funny how you dont hear anything out of vonjordan3 when kobe breaks mjs records.
2/3/2009 11:23:53 AM
I've been holding off on saying this for a while...But I think when Kobe retires and they put together one of those videos of all his highlights (like the amazing one Jordan has), it's going to be just as good as MJs. I'm trying to figure out exactly what MJ has/had that Kobe doesn't. The killer instinct? Kobe's got it. He takes it to the rim and finishes just as good as Jordan...has developed the mid-range game later in his career...is a better long range shooter...is learning to make his teammates better...plays lock-down defense.MJ has more rings...bu that's about it. They both suck pretty bad morally. Both are cheaters. MJ's a gambler, Kobe's a prick (heard MJ's a big ass hole in person too).If he's not MJ's equal or better...Kobe is probably the closest thing we're ever going to get to Jordan.
2/3/2009 11:39:57 AM
I'm not gonna argue with you thus farbut Kobe just turned 30, and you start to lose a bit of your athleticism and hops going forwardJordan turned into the best back to the basket player in the league in the latter stages of his careerIf Kobe's 30's are similar (and he has all the tools to make that happen), then yeah, they will be on the same levelbut we're 5-6 years away from knowing definitively
2/3/2009 11:48:21 AM
I'll agree with that.If Kobe doesn't fall-off...then I think he's there. He's already got the shot...just has to hone those back-to-the-basket skills a little more (which they're already damn good...just not Jordan level yet).

2/3/2009 12:33:08 PM
^Why can't we compare him now?? If you compare him at this point in his career to where MJ was at that point in his career, then they are pretty equal.
2/3/2009 12:35:21 PM
im addressing the people who say kobe is already better alltime. If you compare at the same points in their career, id say MJ was better at defense. Thats all, I agree with everything else[Edited on February 3, 2009 at 1:00 PM. Reason : .]
2/3/2009 12:38:29 PM
nobody is saying kobe is the best all timeThey are so similar in everything. I would even say that when it comes down to it, kobe's defense can be just as good as jordans. The biggest difference in the two, as phil jackson said is that MJ had some huge hands. I think Kobe still has to win 2-3 more titles to get to MJs level.
2/3/2009 1:05:47 PM
more winning shots at the same time in their careers, better defense, and dunks looked better
2/3/2009 1:15:49 PM
I Dont think soFrom what I have found, Kobe already has made more game winning shots than Jordan did in his entire career. http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?t=116032http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?t=86278and "dunks looked better" ????? Kobe has had some nasty ones
2/3/2009 2:02:20 PM
Sucks for the Magic, Jameer Nelson was having a great season for them.
2/3/2009 2:27:11 PM
let me quote the very next post on the message board you go that from
2/3/2009 2:40:04 PM
I think even Michael would like most people to forget his time as a Wizard.
2/3/2009 3:22:34 PM
He did have a helluva block on ron mercer
2/3/2009 3:38:27 PM
I don't think anything against Ron Mercer is REALLY worth talking about.
2/3/2009 3:59:50 PM

me tootop 30...maybeHow many does Lebron drop at MSG tonight ?He's said he's not gonna try to out do Kobe, but I think he'll drop 35-45
2/4/2009 11:27:59 AM
even with that, he was in his 40s, no 40 year old could say that
2/4/2009 11:44:33 AM
I say Lebron has a triple double tonight.Man what a week for MSG - kobe then Lebron then the Celtics
2/4/2009 1:51:47 PM
2/4/2009 2:19:31 PM
Nelson is a huge loss for the Magic. They will definitely go after a pg aggressively maybe even felton.Pretty much comes down to Celtics/Cavs in the East now.Lakers vs Celtics tomorrow night @8 on TNT
2/4/2009 2:29:30 PM
I think it is funny, You’d admit that MJ was in the top 30 in the league in his 40’s but other players, which could not even get close to saying that had the smarts to exit the league. He was still one of the better players in the league and contributed to a shitty team. I’d say that considering the age it was pretty impressive.Honestly, it doesn’t matter what is said, you will always come up with BS, and devalue MJ. You also need to restate your quickest to 12,000 to “youngest” to score 12,000. MJ did it in fewer games than Lebron or Kobe, no comparison. And I’m pretty sure Wilt was even faster. I love how the press modifies reality to favor the players of today. Neither of them played college basketball is this a fucking surprise?
2/4/2009 3:10:08 PM
Jameeracle on IceHe'll be luck to be back by April, if he comes back at all
2/4/2009 3:24:28 PM
I'm just saying he should have gone out on top...playing with Washington probably didn't help his "body of work" that much, if at all.He averaged about 10points a game less than his career average. And he didn't really help a shitty team that much. His shooting percentage was pretty low (at least compared to his career percentages) and his defense was in a pretty sharp decline. He couldn't go head-to-head with the games elite at the time, yet he still remained the focal point of his team. He should have stepped aside and let the team grow without him. Instead he stayed and tried for one last hurrah and fucked that franchise up (mostly because of his horrible executive decisions).
2/4/2009 3:27:03 PM
not to mention Kobe put 53 on his ass while he was a wizard
2/4/2009 3:47:48 PM
Sorry I meant 55 on his ass with 42 of them coming in the 1st half
2/4/2009 3:51:15 PM
2/4/2009 4:33:23 PM
Kobe wont make the stupid decision to play when he is 40
2/4/2009 4:36:02 PM
kobe will not have the skill to be in the top 30 when he is that age
2/4/2009 4:37:34 PM
To me Jordan made 2 stupid decisions in his career.1) leaving for that year and a half (what might have been??? 8?? could they have beaten the rockets??)2) Coming back as a wizard (kinda like Ewing coming back as a sonic)
2/4/2009 4:44:42 PM
he should have just played the whole time I agreethat record would have been crazy
2/4/2009 6:07:44 PM
he didn't just leaveit was a secret suspension for gambling
2/4/2009 6:08:41 PM

2/4/2009 6:14:58 PM

2/4/2009 6:19:19 PM
I was joking about the rumored gambling thingI do agree 100% with his trades and shit, he pissed me off with that.
2/4/2009 6:35:42 PM
BronBron's got 39, 8, and 9 at the start of the 4th. Fucking sick.
2/4/2009 9:25:38 PM

52, 10, and 11.Lebron has better game. This guy is amazing.[Edited on February 4, 2009 at 10:07 PM. Reason : .]
2/4/2009 10:04:45 PM
^that is fucking ridiculous! I wonder how many players have had a triple double with at least 50 pts. I'm guessing Wilt had a few
2/4/2009 10:05:45 PM
^i think they said kareem was the last person to do itor maybe it was wiltat any rate
2/4/2009 10:22:29 PM

2/5/2009 12:19:48 AM
The knicks have given up 113 points in their last 2 games to 2 people!
2/5/2009 12:20:23 AM
Sportscenter this evening, talking about the Mavericks game"...and Kidd dishes it to Josh Howard, who hits a baby j."
2/5/2009 1:32:12 AM
