Terry wins red card appeal...Carrick out up to 6 weeks...
9/16/2008 10:49:02 AM
wow, Sir has to be pissed
9/16/2008 11:25:07 AM
I can't say the appeal was totally unjustified, but the referee was well within his right to red card him in that situation. I can't say I agree with the decision to reduce it (there's no way it wasn't at least a yellow).
9/16/2008 11:26:17 AM
does his appeal win allow him to play on sunday or is his automatic 3 match ban for straigh red cut down
9/16/2008 11:37:33 AM
He can play Sunday
9/16/2008 11:42:51 AM
This is kinda half soccer related, but could AIG's struggle cause any financial problams for united. AIG has to be giving united a lot of money to be the major shirt sponsor.

i don't think aig's strugges will have much of an effect on man utd, if AIG cant pay to be on man utds jerseys then theyd probably get a different sponsor.
9/20/2008 2:35:51 PM
arsenlol couldnt have had an easier 5 teams to play to start the season
9/20/2008 3:05:13 PM
man utd tie chelski 1-1all these teams can do is tie when they play each other[Edited on September 21, 2008 at 5:46 PM. Reason : f]

^^ and? I'm first generation english, or hadn't you heard? Goldsboro's home of an air force base.^ no need to be rude, right?
9/23/2008 7:35:19 PM
Oh I am sorry you root for a team that has more bandwagoneers than Chelsea, Arsenal, the New York Yankees and Red Sox combined. Who cares why I root for Chelsea, first you don't know me from Stephen you jackass. Nice dirty game Manure played Sunday, how many of your players were booked, 7 was it.
9/23/2008 7:51:36 PM
lol at any big 4 fan calling somebody bandwagonspeaking of which, I want to jump on Arsenal's bandwagon... I love watching them play
9/23/2008 8:34:56 PM
^^I'll bet it was your type tossing bottles at the bus on the way out, too then, huh?A bit sour about choking up last season are you?and FYI no fucking team on the planet has more bandwagon fans than the Yankees, so let's call a spade a spade.until you can prove to me that you or someone in your family's ever tossed celery on the pitch at the Bridge, i'll call you bandwagon as much as I like, so don't sit there and try to tell me the fucking score.oh and beeteedubs - [TROLLED]

If anyone gets a chance to catch the FanZone of the Chelsea v. Man U game, the opening scene is of a kid wearing an NC State Football t-shirt.

9/27/2008 2:54:23 PM
lol arsenal, this is why teams with experienced players win25 shots, only 4 on goaland when did hull pick up cousin from rangers??
9/27/2008 2:56:22 PM
Scholes out for ten weeks
10/1/2008 12:14:10 PM
^^ After Rangers pissed their way out of UCL play
10/1/2008 2:55:41 PM
so I finally got around to watching last week's review show that I DVR'edthat Ronaldo penalty call was absolute horseshit
10/3/2008 11:51:38 PM
Yes it was. But I'm not even sure that Ronaldo tried to sell it that way very hard. I think the referee just made a terrible call. The defender obviously had the ball first.
10/4/2008 3:48:04 AM
Even Ronaldo said it wasn't a penalty when the guy took him down. Every single player was on record as saying "WTF"
10/4/2008 9:10:12 AM
^^ yeah for once, I don't think Ronaldo tried to influence the decision with a divethat's why the call was so bad[Edited on October 4, 2008 at 9:11 AM. Reason : .]
10/4/2008 9:11:04 AM
That's just Rob Styles for you.
10/4/2008 9:15:15 AM
arsenlol getting a late winner to tie sunderland...what happened to the young guns? so many accolades at the beginning of the season and you lose to fulham, hull, and barely snuck a point out to sunderland
10/4/2008 2:41:16 PM
^obv i meant goal, not winner there
10/4/2008 9:37:37 PM
nice comeback from Liverpool today to win 3-2
10/5/2008 2:27:37 PM
im so glad there are more pointless wc qualifiers to disrupt the season in the next couple weeks....[Edited on October 5, 2008 at 2:30 PM. Reason : f]
10/5/2008 2:30:25 PM
not pointless to methe only real team I support is the US, I haven't missed a US game in years
10/5/2008 3:38:27 PM
it is pointless. the top teams in the world shouldnt be forced to play the cubas, kazakhstans, andorras, san marinos, etc of the world.
10/5/2008 3:42:21 PM
maybe, maybe notit wasn't that long ago the US was one of those countries that never made the world cup. everybody deserves an equal shot, no matter how annoying it is to watch sometimes
10/5/2008 3:48:56 PM
yeah, wc qualifiers are not pointless. i love club football as much as anyone else, but I would watch England win the WC over Man U winning the treble, presented the choice
10/5/2008 6:23:17 PM
yeah i would watch england win the WC, that would be great, not over man utd win the treble though...but id much rather watch man utd play fulham, rather than watch england play andorrai never said i wouldnt watch the wc, its the greatest tournament in football history...but the hell if im watching wc qualifiers, its pointless, it gets many star players injured, it disrupts the flow of club leagues, and the majority of matches are boring. why would i want to watch a tiny team pack the box with 10 men behind the ball the whole game whether they are home or away...no fun.[Edited on October 5, 2008 at 7:00 PM. Reason : j]
10/5/2008 6:58:32 PM
but there are so few national team games compared to clubs... that's why they're not pointless to me
10/5/2008 7:01:22 PM
WC qualifiers are the fairest way for those smaller teams to get in to the WC to begin with.Sure, it sucks seeing Portugal hang 7 on Kazahkstan, but what about Iraq beating Australia, or Paraguay over Brazil?Or even teams like Austria who normally would just miss the mark getting one over on France and having a better chance at making the finals?
10/6/2008 8:30:51 AM
or Bulgaria in the 94 WCQ... they beat France in the last qualifier with a last minute goal when all France needed was a draw to qualifyand then ended up making it to the semifinals
