Well, if you're a hard-left liberal, your political views probably haven't changed much since you were 16 years old.

If you don't know the difference between a 16 year old playing Halo all day in his parent's basement and a 25 year old who works full time and owns a home, we should just end this conversation right here.

i hate to break it to you, but there are plenty of liberals (on this board even) that fit that bill.

I was making a comparison. You missed my point entirely.

In many instances, that 16 year old has a job, is looking ahead to college, thinking of ways to pay for college.

I guess I forgot how wise teenagers are. Maybe I'll start getting my news from local high school newspapers.

Quit fighting arguments that aren't being made, Don Quijote.

Quit trolling, troll. If you really want to discuss this, PM me. Otherwise, go hijack another thread.

proclaiming someone a troll, does not a troll make. Just because you have decided upon the nebulous term "real world" to dictate competence does not make you or the statement infallible. It's simple, defend your statement.

"So, as a fiscal conservative, does that mean you think Obama is the better option?"

I felt betrayed by my party in so many ways it's hard to describe, so my general election vote will be the best way to reflect my dissappointment and outrage.

"He sounds like a spoiled rotten child... WHAA THE REPUBLICANS DISAPPOINTED ME, SO NOW I'LL VOTE FOR SOMEONE WHO I'M SURE WILL DISAPPOINT ME JUST FOR SPITE WHAA"

Since when does voting based on principals equate to being childish? If that's the case, you should look at the Republican Party and see them as a bunch of selfish two-year olds.

The more the Red Team alienates anti-war fiscal conservatives who think Bush is a huge liberal, the more the Blue Team benefits. How did the party that brought us Ronald Reagan turn into such backwards bullshit?

Obama returned to Raleigh just a few days ago to start his economy tour now that he is the presumptive democratic nominee. Whether or not NC goes for McCain, I'm glad Obama considers NC in play and worth campaign time.

^^ NC is leaning towards McCain but it's not a lock. That's why he's here. He'll be spending a lot of time in the south.

McCain: "To sacrifice for a cause greater than yourself, and to sacrifice your life to the eminence of that cause, is the noblest activity of all."

Obama: "...we have an individual responsibility to be our brother's keeper and our sister's keeper. Each of us will have to accept responsibility...(for) sharing some measure of sacrifice."

Both of these guys make me want to vomit.

"McCain is by far a better candidate than Obama. All Obama can do is talk from a telepromter or notes. You ever notice how he doesn't answer questions directly to the question. He always talks in vague terms."

"Q: “What about grants for sex education in the United States? Should they include instructions about using contraceptives? Or should it be Bush’s policy, which is just abstinence?”

Mr. McCain: (Long pause) “Ahhh. I think I support the president’s policy.”

Q: “So no contraception, no counseling on contraception. Just abstinence. Do you think contraceptives help stop the spread of HIV?”

Mr. McCain: (Long pause) “You’ve stumped me.”

Q: “I mean, I think you’d probably agree it probably does help stop it?”

Mr. McCain: (Laughs) “Are we on the Straight Talk express? I’m not informed enough on it. Let me find out. You know, I’m sure I’ve taken a position on it on the past. I have to find out what my position was."

A grown-up who doesn't know that condoms can reduce the spread of STDs? I think my grandma might know about that. This guy was in VIETNAM, and hasn't heard anything about that?
