Jesus Christ TreeTwista10, did Nash rape your mother or something? Seems like you can't make a single post without expressing some bitterness about him being mvp TWO YEARS AGO.And yeah, while I absolutely hated the Spurs fouling Shaq, it's obviously within the rules. Didn't make me any less pissed at Shaq for not making them. If I were him I would have lived at the free throw line in between each game, gotten a shooting instructor, ANYTHING. But he's too stubborn for that. Besides, apparently his thinking his he "makes them when it counts." Bullshit. Last I checked FTs counted the same throughout the entire game anyway
4/30/2008 5:37:27 PM
^^but how would you write the rule? just seems like an impossible rule to implement^2 years ago, and 3 years ago...undeservedly...i just dont see whats so great about nash that supposedly puts him in the "best player in the NBA" discussion...he is a great shooter from any range and a great passer...but what else does he do? I personally have an issue with a player being named MVP when they only play like an MVP on offense...and the leader of that offense got eliminated by the spurs for the 3rd time in 4 years]
4/30/2008 6:36:23 PM
Fucking dumbass Wizards should foul Ben Wallace every single time the Cavs get the ball until 2 minutes left.He shoots 42 percent !!!Cleveland would average less than 1 point per possession if Washington did thisThey could easily have a 5-6 point lead when it got to two minutes if they did this
4/30/2008 8:28:38 PM
too much time with 3.9I'd be shocked in LBJ didnt win it here[Edited on April 30, 2008 at 8:45 PM. Reason : I was wrong ! Back to DC]
4/30/2008 8:43:36 PM
couldn't you eliminate hack-a-shack by calling such infractions as intentional fouls?
4/30/2008 8:58:06 PM
^No.And let's quit talking about the Suns and Spurs....because I could go on for days. How bout talking about how the Eastern Conference playoffs right now are better than the Western Conference (maybe not the level of play, but the games are more entertaining). The most entertaining series in the West is the one most people thought would suck/be-over-with-quickly (Jazz/Rockets). I'm cheering for the Rockets because I love T-Mac and want to see him get that first round playoff series win. But at the same time...I think Utah has a great shot at knocking off the Lakers...who I don't want to see win another championship.Should be fun.
4/30/2008 11:10:55 PM
The Lakers are playing insanely good right now. Not only are their stars lighting it up, their ball movement is great, and the contributions from their role players is above that of the rest of the league. Plus their coach isn't half bad. I don't see anyone in the league beating them, championship here they come.
5/1/2008 12:34:50 AM
Usually I am one of those who say Phil only coaches great players to championships and such, but this year he has done a helluva job getting Kobe to play team ball. Oh that and they actually made a trade that was worth a damn unlike Phoenix.

5/1/2008 11:17:26 AM
sometimes things just don't make sense...Songaila gets suspended for a slap after a foul, yet when Garnett and Pechulia go at it, nothin happens. When Jason Kidd pulls down Pargo by the neck, no suspension... Its like the penelties are different for the "stars."
5/2/2008 3:15:23 PM
DAmn Smith can jump
5/2/2008 10:25:38 PM
Who would have thought Boston/ATL would be the last series left? That could be our Bobcats out there...
5/3/2008 1:40:11 AM
no it couldn't.Celtics would have beaten the bobcats by about 40 a game.
5/3/2008 4:36:34 AM
...in the 3 games that Boston would've won...it would be 3-3...or did you forget which of the other 29 NBA teams gave Boston their biggest home loss all season?
5/3/2008 12:00:15 PM
We played Boston better than any team in the NBA....Why couldn't it be our Bobcats out there?
5/3/2008 6:16:02 PM

5/3/2008 9:44:26 PM
this thread is worthless
5/3/2008 10:10:08 PM
Hugo the Hornet has just caused a HUUUGGEE delay in the Spurs game with his flaming dunk
5/3/2008 10:55:27 PM
I'm aware that the bobcats played the Celtics tough all year. But I don't think they'd be able to do what the hawks have done. The hawks are very very very athletic with a better pg than the bobcats have (yes, bibby is better than felton.....at least a completely different player). Maybe the bobcats match up well, but it would have to be a different strategy and I'm just not convinced it works in the playoffs.go atl
5/3/2008 11:04:59 PM
^^hahaha yeah that was hilarious...all the hornets people freaking about the fire not going out immediately
5/4/2008 11:30:27 AM
good job marvin williams..........you dumb motherfucker
5/4/2008 2:32:15 PM
that was crazy!
5/4/2008 2:33:32 PM
Alright after watching the first 2 games of this series I think the Hornets are real and might be the best team in the West. Chris Paul is the best PG in the league.Just makes you sick to think that the Bobcats should have gotten him instead of Felton if the lottery works out.
5/6/2008 1:40:50 AM
Just came in this thread to say "Chris Paul"....no, that's it. Chris Paul.
5/6/2008 1:52:03 AM
who's that soccer player guy?
5/6/2008 1:53:42 AM
Steve Nash? You must have missed we are in the second round.
5/6/2008 2:33:42 AM
I guess that guy Tracy McGrady sucks too right? Nash played good, it was the rest of the team that let the Suns down.
5/6/2008 3:03:09 AM
god i hope the spurs lost
5/6/2008 3:03:47 AM
^They did. They are down 0-2 now.
5/6/2008 8:57:00 AM
paul owned nash during that series
5/6/2008 9:05:36 AM
you mean Parker?
5/6/2008 9:43:10 AM
yeah, thanks...i meant parker and was reading paul
5/6/2008 9:55:14 AM
McGrady does kind of suckif he didn't maybe he could lead a team out of the 1st round for once in his careerif I had T-Mac's athleticism and skill, I'd work harder than he does, I can tell you that much]
5/6/2008 10:11:53 AM
5/6/2008 1:43:01 PM
god i hope the bulls land d'antoni
5/6/2008 2:22:32 PM
i really hope the Cavs go ahead and steal one on the road tonightthe last thing i want to see is YET ANOTHER boston sports team win a title
5/6/2008 10:07:31 PM
^exactly. i've been a fan of garnett for quite some time, and it'd be nice to see him win a title finally. but yeah, i definitely don't want boston fans to win anything else. they don't deserve it.
5/6/2008 10:16:12 PM
go cavs. if you lose make sure it's by less than 10 and keep the total under 182.
5/6/2008 10:18:38 PM
^ha yeah don't think you'll have to worry about that point total.hey anybody see the beginning of the game? i turned it on a few minutes into the first quarter and the arena looked really smoky. anybody see what happened? just pregame pyrotechnics? another new orleans incident?
5/6/2008 10:25:26 PM
I'm just glad to see that the Cavs are actually putting up a fight. I was a little worried that Boston would just come out and dominate in this series...but if tonight's any sign, we could be in for a good series.
5/6/2008 10:26:29 PM
Boston Garden always looks smoky at the beginning of the game
5/6/2008 10:40:20 PM
I can't believe some of these travelling calls. Some are, by the letter of the rules, NOT a travel because the original pivot foot does NOT make contact after it's been picked up.
5/6/2008 10:41:44 PM
holy shit, Gibson!
5/6/2008 10:44:37 PM
the west seems a bit overrated, it sucks that houston lost yao that would have really made things interesting, besides that the spurs look like their time has passed, steve kerr ruined the suns team with that dumbass trade, and dallas just didn't have it this year[Edited on May 7, 2008 at 11:07 PM. Reason : k]
5/7/2008 11:06:27 PM
it is kind of funny that with the exception of Game 1 of the PHO SA series, the most interesting series of the playoffs so far was the BOS ATL series which most people thought would be a sweep
5/8/2008 12:09:03 AM
^^having marion (who didnt want to be in Phoenix) instead of shaq would not have made them beat the spurs and they damn sure wouldnt have beaten any of the teams in the west left. The real mistake the Suns made was letting joe johnson go a few years back.
5/8/2008 11:24:59 AM
They didn't let Joe Johnson go. He wanted to be "the man" (and get paid like "the man") and could never do it on a team with three all-stars.
5/8/2008 1:17:07 PM
how long will it take before Boston decides someone should actually step out on Big Z?
