I dropped him for Crosby and I have Theriot for a backup who is also eligible at 2BI got decent enough power everywhere else (Berkman, Burrell, Wright) to make up for these guys so it's all good
4/25/2008 11:53:17 AM
yeah the best thing about khalil greene is his ugly mullethe's ok to play if your other SS options have an off day, but he shouldnt be a starter, except maybe in a 10+ team NL only league
4/25/2008 1:09:52 PM
so what are all you zimmerman owners thinking?
4/25/2008 1:29:32 PM
if you can, hop on erick aybar from laa, 2b & ss eligilbility who hits for avg & has speed (runs & sbs), solid bench guy who can fill in nicely at middle infield, still flying under the radar
4/25/2008 3:12:31 PM
http://www.baseballprospectus.com/unfiltered/?p=852Only pitcher since 1956 to make 3 straight starts of at least 8 IP, 8+ K's, < 1 BB, & < 3 hits is Cliff Lee. Needless to say, if you can trade him as an ace, go ahead & jump on it. He's faced some of the weakest AL lineups thus far (A's twice, Twins & Royals), which could set him up for problems when facing a NYY, Bos or Det lineup.
4/25/2008 4:30:08 PM
Law of Averages says he's about to experience some 3IP, 8ER, 5BB, 2K type games.I would sell high while I could.
4/25/2008 7:22:36 PM
Pick up Jon Sanchez... kid is lights out. I picked him in both my leagues a week and a half ago... he won't be a secret for long after tonight...
4/26/2008 12:35:21 AM
i added sanchez tonight.i just proposed cliff lee and lastings milledge for webb and peavy. the guy will probably decline, but i'm in first place with an 8 game lead already and hopefully the wave lee and milledge are riding will push him to rush into a trade.
4/26/2008 12:38:55 AM
What kind of faggot proposal is that? Why dont you see if he'll throw in a handjob while he's at it I got Sanchez but I'll probly spot start him for now...next game should be at home vs Colorado so thats probably a go
4/26/2008 12:55:09 AM
in my league cliff lee is the #3 ranked player in baseball and his stats are ridiculous. it's a stretch, but i've seen crazier trades accepted.
4/26/2008 1:00:44 AM
Someone dropped Jason Bay this week....I have Carlos Lee in LF and Ryan Braun can play 3rd or LF and I have Garrett Atkins at third now....would you drop any of those 3 to get Bay?[Edited on April 26, 2008 at 1:50 AM. Reason : Damn Hunter Pence is available too....]
4/26/2008 1:48:46 AM
dunno but Russell Martin, who is 4/4 tonight with a walk, is now playing 3rd Base (for the rest of this game probably)this Rockies Dodgers game is good...7-7 going into the bottom of the 9th[Edited on April 26, 2008 at 2:01 AM. Reason : .]
4/26/2008 1:55:34 AM
Cano is killing me at 2nd base and Kendrick is still on DL.. who should I pick up this week so I can put Cano back on bench... Jose Lopez or Erik Aybar.. in my league Lopez has more points but Aybar has the better batting average.. don't really need steals but they wouldnt hurt
4/26/2008 10:20:09 AM
Quick, who leads the league in RBIs at this moment? hint: it's not Pujols or Ortiz or Ramirez or Howard or Utley or Wright or [insert big name superstar]It's Josh Hamilton, who is still one of the better stories in baseball. Who said doing drugs was a bad thing? He missed the whole Steroid Era because of it
4/27/2008 6:36:06 PM
i won my matchup this week 10-0 to extend my lead on first place.i'm trying to add another stud pitcher though. two trades are awaiting review...one for santana and one for webb and peavy.^^^^i'd swap atkins for bay...once bay gets going, he's great, but atkins always seems to have major ups and downs when i've ever had him on my teams. I'll probably accept it theni have a mancrush on Utley so it is hard to let him gothat offer is what he proposed me but I'm trying to take atkins out of the deal and add in Dunn and Lyons
4/27/2008 8:26:13 PM
I'd do it. I probably overstated it a bit, as Atkins is really good but I don't think he will continue this pace and historically (not this year) he is worse away from COL. Votto will be very inconsistent this year and probably won't be a 150 game type guy..I know...I think you'll get:A-Rod - a minimum of 40, 120Upton - a minimum of 20, 95Hamilton - a minimum of 25, 100You'd give up:Utley - 30, 115Atkins - 30, 110Votto - 15, 75[Edited on April 27, 2008 at 8:34 PM. Reason : just my opinion]
4/27/2008 8:32:20 PM
atkins has always underwhelmed me on my fantasy teams, hence my slight bias there...
4/27/2008 8:48:16 PM
i just love days when i set my lineups, leave for the day, then find out half my fucking starters didn't even play
4/27/2008 8:57:58 PM
If Upton is unable to go this week who would be the best replacement? I can pick up a DH (I have Vlad there so he can go RF)......Jayson Werth 6: SD (3), SF (3)Skip Schumaker 6: Cin (3), ChC (3)Carlos Quentin 6: Bal (1), @Min (2), @Tor (3)Milton Bradley 6: KC (3), @Oak (3)[Edited on April 27, 2008 at 9:59 PM. Reason : forgot Bradley is available at DH]
4/27/2008 9:58:45 PM
schumacker or werth, but it really depends on what you need
4/27/2008 10:21:21 PM
werth has been on a tear lately...i'd pick him up and be prepared to bail if the streak ends
4/27/2008 10:52:43 PM
Brandon Phillips with 2 homers todaygood to see!
4/27/2008 11:13:45 PM

4/28/2008 2:12:36 AM
I was just looking at my draft results and comparing them to numbers now just to see how well I did at this point in this seasonI got Pat Burrell in the 20th round... anybody else have any huge pickups really late in the draft?
4/28/2008 11:03:58 AM
I picked Josh Hamilton (undrafted) off of waivers and now he leads the league in RBIs (along with your boy Burrell)thats about it for this year, but last year I had some good picks...I got Magglio in the 11th round last year, and he finished the season as the 4th best fantasy player out there]

Should I drop Dye for Quentin?
4/28/2008 1:30:35 PM
^I already dropped Jacobs in both of my leagues. He's on a pretty terrible streak lately (2-23). Picked up Votto in one and Quentin in the other. Dye isn't doin too hot recently either but it's better than Jacobs, and for the season Dye has a much higher BA but won't hit for the power of Jacob.TreeTwista10 why do you still have bourn? if either Taveras or Carlos Gomez are available you should look into them... may not steal quite as many bases, but with how Bourn's hitting he may not be a starter for very much longer.
4/28/2008 1:44:33 PM
I'm holding onto Dye for some reason. He's out again today... He's just not the type of player you drop. Put him on your bench for better days.
4/28/2008 2:03:06 PM
^^i just picked up Bourn for today since its a short day...I normally play Hamilton, Hart and Byrnes as my 3 OFers but last week I lost steals 8-7 so I figured I'd add somebody speedy...Gomez has his own issues getting on base just like Bourn...Taveras is available in my league as well but I dunno...Bourn has missed multiple games with injury, and still has a few more SBs than anybody else in the league...plus he has a couple homers which is always a plus...I might go with Kaz Matsui as he stole plenty of bases last year, and also has a little power...thats basically my stream position though...I've had Mark Reynolds, Edwin Encarnacion, Mark Derosa, etc

is stattracker kind of fucked up right now? says the white sox orioles game is 1-1 in the 7th, but says Vasquez and Cabrera have pitched 4.0 and 5.0 innings respectively

btw, for all the Kaz Matsui fans out therehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anal_fissure

Just picked up Max Scherzer in both my leagues, hes apparently one of the hottest prospects out there, pick him up!
4/29/2008 6:52:12 AM
hes only there to give bullpen help/depth
4/29/2008 8:28:46 AM
From what I've heard about him I figure hes good enough to hold onto my spot that I normally use for spot starters until they figure out what they are doing with him.
4/29/2008 8:51:18 AM
yeah Scherzer had a crazy good K:9 innings ratio in AAA but he's not going to start for Arizona yet]
