the only concern would be getting enough airflow back there to dissipate the heat. you might need a little fan on it, and it would probably end up running all of the time. you'd need a pretty high cfm rating also. otherwise, the thing will just become heatsoaked. on hotter days, you could even be heating the fluid. the upside is you don't tow, so it might work since any higher temps you see are probably just from hard acceleration a few seconds at a time.personally, i would just hang them on the front of the condenser or a bracket off the core support or something. it's hard to beat the natural airflow you get there, even at low speeds. what's your reason for wanting to put them in the bed anyway? weight? they don't weight enough to make any real difference, there's a lot of other stuff you can do first to lighten it up and redistribute.

reasons:- less clutter on the front end (not to mention less heat in front of the IC)- intended to include a fan on each cooler (assuming 2 are used), probably like those Derale kits- looks badass I'm actually more concerned with removing the barrel-shaped head exchanger thats mounted under the exhaust manifold. i really dont know of any benefit of removing it... other it's location bugging me. It would probably kill my already shitty cold weather operation

well garage patrons, here comes a life of debt for me....fucking picmodified HT3B, 22cm exh. housing (should spool decently), and everything to install minus exhaust manifold and top turbo (reuses the stocker).[Edited on January 3, 2009 at 9:57 AM. Reason : -]
