The bar can't be that great. Its like most new bars that open for a while its cool and everyone wants to go there and then it gets boring. If the drinks are to high then the crowd will eventually leave. I think College night would be better on Thursday night. I ain't in college but I know more college kids party that night that on Wed. night.

they charged me a $20 separate charge on top of the $70 i dropped there one night

one of their bartenders is really cute but incredibly stupid and i keep getting her - she always fucks my shit up

In response to the issue with Camel, our Miller and Bud reps got their memberships taken care of pretty much the first time by giving me a list of their staff who would be there. Wasn't that difficult. Everyone who comes in our bar is required to abide by the membership stuff otherwise we can get shut down, regardless of whether or not they're a vendor... sorry it was such a pain for you.

^ I'm sorry about that. Did you ask to speak to a manager? The only reason I can see a $20 charg being added is if you left your card overnight and we added automatic 18% gratuity which is posted all over the place. We do that to 1) deter leaving your cards, 2) make sure our staff doesn't get screwed if a $100 tab forgets to close thus leaving no tip.

On a side note, and I'm posting this because I think a lot of NCSU'ers would be interested... tomorrow night is the first week of our 6-week Dodgeball tourney. The winning team each week gets a nice bar-tab and the winning team after 6 weeks gets $500 cash and a trophy. Everyone gets a t-shirt just for playing. It doesn't cost anything to enter and your teams of four can be male, female, or co-ed. Let me know if you want to sign up. Starts at 7pm. I'll be hanging out before the Bud Light / Maxim party tomorrow night so if anyone is there before 9 please ask for me and say hi!

^ Agree this is just a thread for them to promote their bar. Also what kinda bar plays DodgeBall?? I mean your name Buckhead Saloon means its a country bar which it isn't. Then you have to have a membership or find a free password. Now you have dodgeball games at your bar. Why not just claim what you really are. You are a club!! Just like Jillians. What kinda crowd are you trying to attract high price beer with childish games.

Sorry it is not a country bar.... and if they 'tricked' you with their name. If you like line dancing and guys with fancy hats, then I'm sure you can find something around here to suit your tastes other than Buckhead.

Sorry that they abide by NC ALE laws by having a membership ($2 can be pricey though I guess) . Oh and sorry that they offer your free passwords so you can skip the cover. Plus, nights with no cover and cheaper drinks for those who like drinking cheap. Guess they really screwed you there, ya know... by giving everyone options.

And dodgeball? Any grown man who is against dodgeball, kickball, softball, etc... In any way, shape, or form is not a grown man at all!

Oh and sorry that you went to Jillian's... that is just sad.

I know its not a country place I was refering to the name and how its not correct. The price of Beer doesn't bother me most of the beers I drink are always 4 or 5 bucks. I have a weekly flag football game on Sunday then we go straight to a bar all sweaty and dirty.. watch some football. Possibly the best times to be had by mere mortal men

And I don't think it needs a niche, I like it the way it is. I do not go as often as I used to for sure, but I do know which nights better suit what kind of night I want to have... Like tonight, if I'm bored an I want to play some dodgeball (and I know that there will be some laughs) and have like 2 beers... then be home at a decent time. Then I have my place to go for tonight

I personally don't know which club invites people to play dodgeballl. I think our problem is you still consider This place a Bar when it is actually a club.

well that was mainly for last night when i was up there

got pretty good crowd last night after the maxim party let out from being wayyyy too crowded.

Dodgeball tourney went well, and every wednesday there is a team pool tourney for cash...all things I didnt even know and I DJ there.

and by the way, the girls last night were toppppp quality.

The majority of the bands that play at Buckhead are in our network of bands that I refer to as "buckhead bands"... I would say the majority of their live performances are within our network of bars only for the most part
