it's been posted before, but it just seems fitting at this point in the thread...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YvQbQUv9qBw

I hope we get Noah...that way every time we win a game he can do a goofy dance that embarasses his teammates
6/7/2007 3:53:40 PM
6/12/2007 2:33:33 PM
those guys must have been reading our threadbut srsly, we need to stop waiting on the draft to help our teamFREE AGENT VETERAN PLAYERS
6/12/2007 2:40:52 PM
I don't think Noah is a bad fit for us. But 5 is just too high to take him.
6/12/2007 5:31:22 PM
yea i'd hope we dont trade up 3 spots and still take him.so jordan got peterson involved somehow....i read a story on a forum a week or two ago about someone seein a bunch of bobcats personnel in a restaurant in orlando talkin about the draft, and they mentioned that buzz peterson was there. this explains why.http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2902281&campaign=rss&source=NBAHeadlines
6/12/2007 6:17:37 PM
^^finger missed. meant 8. Boston will be taking Brewer or the big Yi at 5.I'm happy with the coaching hires though.
6/12/2007 6:20:30 PM
Seriously, why the hell is Noah even projected in the top 10-15. I can't think of one thing he does above average ... except make himself look retarded. He's an expert at that. Sure, I like the guy's energy/heart, but I will never understand why he's so highly regarded.Brewer, Green, or even Byars from Vanderbilt would be much much better picks IMO.
6/12/2007 9:52:13 PM
Most people think he could have gone 1st overall last year to Toronto, but that speaks more about how weak the draft was last year than about his ability. Basically he's in the same situation as Matt Leinhart, going from a likely number 1 pick to somewhere closer to 10th. Fortunately for him, the difference in money for those picks is much less in the NBA than in the NFL.
6/12/2007 10:08:13 PM
Noah can do a lot of things we needI hate to say it because I am coming down from what I said earlier but im not sure he wont be our best option at 8.I just dont know
6/12/2007 10:36:31 PM
i'd rather have spencer hawes than that douchefuck
6/12/2007 11:35:39 PM
6/13/2007 1:20:23 AM
Is Jordan just hiring all of his buddies into management positions? It doesn't appear that they have many experienced executives in that staff.
6/13/2007 1:31:30 AM
^If he hires Charles Oakley then we know something's up[Edited on June 13, 2007 at 2:51 AM. Reason : x]
6/13/2007 2:51:45 AM
larry brown had Ford on his staff in Detroit and other places
6/13/2007 8:20:32 AM
I'd rather have Hawes than almost anybody that will be available. Dude's a beast.Noah is a 7 foot athlete. They don't make too many guys that big that can move like him.(dancing included) He's also been a winner. I'm not sure if he helps an NBA team, but you can see why he is highly coveted.
6/14/2007 1:36:55 PM
Noah reminds me of Anderson Varejao. Maybe it's just the hair.[Edited on June 14, 2007 at 1:40 PM. Reason : 2]
6/14/2007 1:40:13 PM
and the fact he cant shoot
6/14/2007 1:46:41 PM
6/14/2007 1:51:01 PM
The national media seems to think it is a lock that we'll take Noah. WTF? You can't knock his hustle, but fucker can't hit the 15 footer from what I've seen. It's gonna be a logjam down in the paint with Noah and Okafor down there together. Can the 'Cats not catch a break? Like Brewer falling to 8? Do we take Conley, Jr. is he falls to 8? I know we need rebounding, and while JoNo brings that and shot blocking, his offense is lacking and we could really use another low post scorer.
6/14/2007 2:01:41 PM
Not only can Noah not shoot, but he also doesn't have a reliable post game.Jeff Green or Al Thornton would be much better picks. Julian Wright could be solid as well but take a little longer to develop (not ideal for the Bobcats, but that would be the case for Noah as well).
6/14/2007 2:09:30 PM
the mock i saw today had em takin julian wright at 8 and pau gasol's brother at 22
6/14/2007 7:04:45 PM
Gasols brother is a late second round pick by most everyone ive readim not sold on Jeff Green or Julian Wright honestlyI say trade both pic for some veteran talent and a lower pic, but i dont think anyone has anything to offer
6/14/2007 9:42:16 PM
Now this I would love to happen
6/14/2007 10:09:29 PM
well Melvin Ely got him a ring
6/14/2007 11:50:18 PM
i forget the draft is coming up
6/18/2007 6:44:19 PM
6/19/2007 6:11:03 AM
I dont want Jason Richardson at all. He makes like $16 million a year and he only plays half seasons. He's a good player but he just doesn't quite have it. We'd be the worst free throw shooting team in the league between Felton, Richardson, Wallace, and Okafor.Wallace is already a more valuable player than Richardson and would come at a cheaper price tag. I just don't see how that deal makes us better.
6/19/2007 6:18:09 AM
I don't know. With Richardson's surprising 3-point shooting, and his obvious finishing skills, our offense would be that much better. I agree about the injury thing, but Wallace is the same way. It's hard to knock guys that play hard and are injured as a result.I know it's dumb, but I can't get the image of Felton leading a fastbreak with Wallace, Richardson, Okafor and (gulp) Corey Brewer out of my head.
6/19/2007 8:59:19 AM
well if theres one thing we know, its that Felton can run the Break with the best of themoh and we upgraded Dell Curry from talent scout to Assistant Coach, stefan(sp?) curry to help our shooting woes??
6/19/2007 9:06:27 AM
we all saw how good jordan was in washington as an exec...
6/19/2007 9:16:55 AM
Timberwolves picked up JBB as an asst coachhttp://www.charlotte.com/bobcats/story/165891.html
6/19/2007 4:02:46 PM
foxsports has revised their mock draft yet again. now they have bobcats gettin brewer at 8 and rudy fernandez at 22
6/19/2007 5:12:45 PM
how many drafts is tiago splitter going to be in? i swear i see his name every year
6/19/2007 5:16:16 PM
^ this is the last time Tiago Splitter is eligible so he'll be staying in this year.Goddammit I read about the NBA draft/offseason approximately ~3 hours a day while Im at work. The more i read the sicker i get to my stomach about us missing Oden/Durant because we insisted on winning a few games while everyone else was tanking. We have absolutely got to get Brewer, B.Wright, or Conley. I dont think Noah will be bad but Im starting to realize we arent a playoff team with Noah and Almond... Dammit bobcats stop fucking this thing up our window is running out before we have to just blow things up and start from scratch or be destined for mediocrity. Here's a good assessment of Jason Richardson. The guy just doesn't have max money talent, period. He's a good player but he's a horrible player to build a team around. The thing about the NBA... guys who are GOOD but are paid to be GREAT are a dime a dozen. Everyone tries to get rid of max contract guys who aren't ELITE. That's what is so dumb about the "max" rule. One team gets Kobe Bryant or Kevin Garnett for max money... while another team has to settle for Jason Richardson or Shawn Marion for max money...
6/19/2007 6:49:28 PM
oh my, if we had picked up Stackhouse i would have died
6/19/2007 9:31:56 PM
Givony usually knows his stuff
6/20/2007 12:21:46 AM
haven't teams learned to not take 6'10" or taller non-euro white guys in the lottery??
6/20/2007 12:30:19 AM
Bill Simmons talks a bit about the Bobcats in his new articlehttp://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmons/070620&lpos=spotlight&lid=tab2pos1here are some thoughts from it:
6/20/2007 4:54:36 PM
While its not very likely I like that trade and the way our lineup would look.. Would much rather have Gasol than Noah(what everyone is predicting) and whoever we would get at 22... Come on MJ, show us that you can actually be decent as Director of Basketball Operations
6/20/2007 5:32:37 PM
This is going to sound retarded, but I don't know much at all about Gasol. I've only seen glimpses of the guy, mainly i can't stand watching the Grizzlies play. I know he's high caliber, and usually has great stat lines, but what are his strengths? weaknesses? Hell, what position does he play? (3,4,5)
6/20/2007 6:32:05 PM
Gasol is a beast...when he is healthy he is a threat to get 25, 12 and 5 assists every night...he's like a 7'0 PF who can shoot and also put it on the floor
6/20/2007 8:43:29 PM
I would be really excited to get Gasol for next to nothing considering where we are pickinggetting proven talent for "we dont know yets"and if our money works out with Wallace who says we still can offer Rashard LEwis some jackGasol 13 mil, Gfroce, 10 mil, Lewis, 10 mili hope the Griz present this to MJBill Simmons has been giving much respect to our team lately
6/20/2007 9:10:21 PM
^I would rather keep Wallace than get Rashard Lewis....I like Lewis but Wallace is probably a better player and easily a better fit for our team right now.[Edited on June 20, 2007 at 11:22 PM. Reason : No way we have both of them]
6/20/2007 11:22:38 PM
^and a much better defender and hustle player too
6/20/2007 11:25:32 PM
I don't see why the Grizzlies wouldn't at least consider Gasol for #8, #22, May, and Brevin Knight...Gasol would be the perfect complement for Okafor... Okafor would offset Gasol's defensive deficiencies and Gasol's post scoring/passing ability would allow Okafor to concentrate on his strengths like offensive rebounding and dunking
6/21/2007 7:04:24 AM
im getting excited about Gasol even though I know it wont happen ever because it makes sensei mean, wed be trading away 2 picks in a deep draft and a former lottery who has played well when healthy for a fairly young guy with not too big of a contractand I was talking about keeping Wallace and signed Lewis
6/21/2007 8:39:47 AM
I think they can get a better offer for Gasol than May, Knight 8 and 22. Maybe not. But I am sure Chicago had a better deal for them a few months ago. I don't want Lewis because we'll have to pay too much to get him. I like Wallace, even if he can't shoot. We're in trouble if he continues to be our best player though.
6/21/2007 12:28:23 PM
wallace's shot has actually improved each season, although he's obviously not a matt carroll type shooter
6/21/2007 12:46:36 PM
