SCOTTYFUCK YEAH
6/20/2007 3:49:01 PM
HE is going to whoop so much ass next year
6/20/2007 4:53:23 PM
Stillman Staal ColeWhitney Brindy WilliamsLadd ______ WalkerLaRose Letowski AdamsI'll take it. They've got a little over 2 mil to sign the mystery center. Get a guy in there who isn't too soft and that line can bang some bodies around and score.
6/20/2007 4:57:10 PM
QUALITYI hope someone from camp can take that fourth line center spot, though.
6/20/2007 5:00:46 PM
Joe Barnes perhaps
6/20/2007 5:10:04 PM
I'm thinkin harrison reed maybe. He was amazing at the Red White scrimage last year (2G i think and one in the shootout). Still may be to young though
6/20/2007 5:13:17 PM
I was thinking ANGELO ESPOSITO
6/20/2007 5:13:50 PM
^No way he drops down to number 11
6/20/2007 5:14:20 PM
I want to see them get either Esposito or Couture, but I have my doubts that either will make it to 11th.
6/20/2007 5:18:40 PM
I think there might be a backlash because of the way Roy has been talking him up.Maybe not.Anyway, I think there's a chance, and we'd be stupid not to take him if he falls into our lap.
6/20/2007 5:19:14 PM
i thnk letowski needs to gtfo asap. lets nudge hedican out, trade babchuk, and find a cullen-like center for cheap and a top d-man.
6/20/2007 5:29:01 PM
I feel fairly sure that Babchuk will be gone during the draft Friday or Saturday. Maybe they package Letowski as well, but I have a feeling he's going to be on the roster at least to start the season. Could not agree more about Hedican. Love the guy, but as it is now we have $2.3 million to sign a third line center. If Hedican calls it quits we've got $4.7 million to work with for a center and defenseman. Then again, if Kimmo Timonen is getting over $6 million a year, maybe we should avoid the free agent market.
6/20/2007 5:37:19 PM
woohoo!! I'm curious as to who'll center that line now...
6/20/2007 8:00:48 PM
Just a quick reminder that Scott Walker is the fucking manhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TZtXt6fKuuY
6/20/2007 11:04:45 PM
WelpHedican is coming back EDIT:
6/21/2007 6:16:48 PM
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!he better be the good hedican. ill be soured on him just a little if he comes back, then plays 20 gamesHedican link plz?[Edited on June 21, 2007 at 6:32 PM. Reason : s]
6/21/2007 6:30:56 PM
^^^ Alberts had like 6 inches and 30 pounds on walker (not to mention alberts still had a helmet but soctty took care of that) and walker still kicked his ass.
6/21/2007 7:56:58 PM
two teams have met with Esposito 3 times: Carolina and Montreal. Rutherford is the only GM to have a one on one with him. Montreal seems to be aware of this and is trying to swap picks with Columbus.
6/21/2007 10:51:53 PM
got an eklund update saying that montreal and the canes are trying to move up in the draft
6/21/2007 11:22:43 PM
If we lose Commodore because Hedican wants another kick at the can, I'm going to be pretty pissed.
6/22/2007 12:46:49 PM
i'll be more than pretty pissed
6/22/2007 1:08:30 PM
come on now, there's no way in hell JR will trade away Commodorethat'd be dumber than getting Vasichek backalso, it would be awesome to trade up for esposito, anyone have any links to highlight reels?[Edited on June 22, 2007 at 2:43 PM. Reason : .]
6/22/2007 2:40:30 PM
I hope you're right, but you may be in for a shock. JR says he is looking to do a defenseman for defenseman trade to get a mobile, puck-moving defenseman. Kaberle - not going to be traded because he is the only guy they have right now with decent offensive upsideWesley and Hedican - not going anywhereWallin - i thought he would be the one to go but reportedly he has a no-trade clauseBabchuk - obviously he is going to be traded but he has very little value at this pointSeidenberg and Hutchinson - basically no valueThat leaves Gleason and Commodore. Commodore's contract is up at the end of the year. Sadly, he would probably be the likeliest to go.
6/22/2007 2:45:26 PM
Yeah, I definitely understand where you're coming from, but Commie is such an image for the club and a fan favorite that it'd be hard to see him go.
6/22/2007 2:53:29 PM
Well here we go.If Florida doesn't take Esposito he is ours for the taking.
6/22/2007 8:18:19 PM
LETS GO ESPOSITO[Edited on June 22, 2007 at 8:20 PM. Reason : although florida would love to swoop in and fuck us by taking him or trading with the habs]
6/22/2007 8:20:19 PM
come on....
6/22/2007 8:22:12 PM
WOOOOnow we all know rutherford wont pick who we all want him to
6/22/2007 8:23:35 PM
GOD DAMMIT
6/22/2007 8:29:43 PM
meh, he looks like a douchebag
6/22/2007 8:29:54 PM
anyone know anything about Brandon Sutter?
6/22/2007 8:30:45 PM
It's a reach.
6/22/2007 8:31:40 PM
Well, with the Senators resigning Dean McAmmond today and us passing on Esposito, today has kinda sucked.
6/22/2007 8:33:51 PM
never bet against the Sutters. I wanted Espo but this is a solid pick
6/22/2007 8:55:15 PM
^
6/22/2007 9:02:42 PM
I think the Canadiens may believe they can still get Esposito at 22
6/22/2007 9:05:15 PM
At this rate they may be able to. I've been hoping we'd put together some kind of package to get a pick somewhere in the late teens to pick him up, but I don't think that will happen at this point.[Edited on June 22, 2007 at 9:24 PM. Reason : crosby / malkin / staal / esposito. good lord.]
6/22/2007 9:13:42 PM
yeah, the guins are lookin mighty strong.[Edited on June 22, 2007 at 9:26 PM. Reason : .]

Holy Balls, the pens are gonna be fun to watch.
6/22/2007 10:13:34 PM
http://www.easports.com/article.jsp?id=nhldraftOur new jerseys. Basically the same thing except for a white stripe at the top that looks pretty terrible.
6/22/2007 10:46:18 PM
i dont like it
6/23/2007 12:03:07 AM
yet those screens look awesome
6/23/2007 12:41:15 AM
You'll never have to question work ethic or desire with a Sutter, so I'm cool with our pick.
6/23/2007 12:55:15 AM
6/23/2007 11:22:45 AM
LET'S GO PENSit is an exciting timewon't be so exciting when these guys are up for new contracts but eh
6/23/2007 1:26:21 PM
Not the most exciting draft for us but oh well. Hopefully we can get a little depth in the system.1 (11). Brandon Sutter, C/RW, Red Deer (WHL)3 (72). Drayson Bowman, C/LW, Spokane (WHL)4 (102). Justin McCrae, C, Saskatoon (WHL)5 (132). Chris Terry, LW, Plymouth (OHL)6 (162). Brett Bellemore, D, Plymouth (OHL)7th round pick traded to Montreal for goalie Michael Leighton

i think its a good move, can't hurt to have more goalie depth. we have a bunch of really raw guys down in the system
