Social groups are in anyplace involving more then two people communicating. There's nothing to really approve or disapprove about them. My personal experiences with groups have been fairly good in that I don't remember being bullied or picked on in either private or public school. I'm sure there were tons of people that didn't like me, but they were offset by my dudes/dudettes that I hung out regularly with.

I didn't read this thread so I don't know where the conversation is but preparing a child for school and how to deal with people that have destructive tendencies is something thats very important in my opinion. You shouldn't pick a school environment based on what its social status is, but rather pick one based on how many opportunities are available that suit your child's interests.

Are there going to be dicks, assholes, and faggots? Yes. However they will exist no matter where you are in your life.
