Glennon and Manning would be huge if we got them at the end of the weekI hope Dwayne Allen pulls a switch-a-roo as well but i think state HAS to go to a bowl game this year for that to happenEddie Whitley has mixed reports a/b where he is leading at, some say state and others say VT. One thing though is even if commits to VT he seems like one of those players that we'd be recruiting and hoping to get til signing day b/c of his connections with our current recruits. The Shrine Bowl will be interesting with our recruits trying to reel in more talent

If we land Whitley and Charest, do you guys think Spencer Adams follows (they all go to the same school)?
6/26/2007 11:31:35 PM
^i dont think charest comes here.....i think Glennon is our guy
6/27/2007 12:23:25 AM
North Carolina State Auburn Clemson Florida Michigan USC Virginia Tech DAMN that's a stout offer list. I don't care what else is said about this kid, that's the only part I need to see. If the USC, UF, and Michigan thinks he's good enough to offer on, then I'm sold.GG Red Tom[Edited on June 27, 2007 at 9:36 AM. Reason : .]

E.J. Manuel makes his decision today at 5:30down to:FSULSUMarylandMiamiUNCwith FSU, LSU the front runners
6/27/2007 10:09:20 AM
^^its taking some time for me to get used to being a good thing
6/27/2007 10:27:24 AM
^^EJ Manuel - can you give me some background? in-state prospect?
6/27/2007 10:29:00 AM
6/27/2007 10:29:02 AM
Manuel is one of the Top QB's in the country, from VA. Think he announces for FSU today, but who knows.
6/27/2007 10:43:36 AM
6/27/2007 10:50:59 AM
^^ yeah, most places have him #2-3 QB in the country... I am thinking FSU too
6/27/2007 11:10:56 AM
Has anyone been keeping up with Terrell Pryor's recruitment? I haven't paid him any attention the last couple of months. (One of the nations top QB's/bball players)
6/27/2007 11:30:53 AM
You down with TOB, yeah you know me
6/27/2007 11:31:01 AM
^^ supposedly offered from Alabama Florida Georgia Tech Michigan Michigan State Notre Dame Ohio State Penn State Tennessee Texas and West Virginia. No idea which way he is leaning though.
6/27/2007 11:39:50 AM
^ from what I have heard (i.e. the internet) he likes Penn State and Texas a lot.
6/27/2007 12:23:05 PM
lots of rumors that Manuel is headed to FSU
6/27/2007 1:24:51 PM
I think we should compare BC's recruiting and State's recruiting.
6/27/2007 7:23:24 PM
he picked FSU
6/27/2007 7:39:55 PM
Hansen is prolly a lock to UNC anywaysjust look at his face and u can tell he's going to unchttp://ncstate.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?pr_key=60897

That guy has douche written all over his face.
6/27/2007 8:24:37 PM
not Auburn?
6/27/2007 8:42:51 PM
^ I would think Auburn tooA lot of their fans wear coats and ties to the games. Their level of douchebaggery comes close to Carolina and their program is way better.
6/27/2007 10:12:08 PM
ACC All Access on Fox Sports South or whatever
6/27/2007 11:33:29 PM
Tony Barnhardt said with TOB, State will have the biggest improvement over last year in the whole conference]
6/27/2007 11:56:50 PM
^After last year there are too many places to go but up
6/27/2007 11:58:48 PM
sounds like Glennon and Manning may not commit as fast as we hoped. Hopefully if Glennon gets the offer then he will pull the trigger. I got a good/bad feeling a/b Manning though. The good part is that we have always heard good news when it comes to Manning and have seemed to be his leader the whole time. The bad news is that every day he goes uncommited gives another team a chance to sneak in there. This may just be a patience thing but the way i feel is if he doesn't commit by the weekend its going to be a LONG battle to get him especially with him taking trips to other schools. The only thing a/b Manning is we KNOW we are the leader and it will make it that much worse if we lose him to someone.Lets just hope these two come to the Pack especially Manning b/c he is a must get for our program
6/28/2007 12:28:37 AM
^supposedly he was amped up about his visit for camp and after the 7 on 7's at Harnett Central, he wanted to come and commit, but his coach advised him to go home and think about it to make sure he wasn't making a rash decision that he would later back out on just because he was so amped up after the visit. The truth of the whole matter is that manning planned on announcing end of july/beg of august anyways.....so lets just wait it out. With both he and glennon, news could come tomorrow, or it could come weeks from now.....thats the fun of recruiting
6/28/2007 12:49:23 AM
awwww dip....gg Red Tom . If we land 2/3 of these guys then I wouldnt say he is doing a worse job of recruiting compared to Amato at all.... and that was Chuck's M.O.
6/28/2007 8:53:23 AM
what one person mentioned on one of the state sites is that Manning might want a little spot light with a press conference. In a recent article he said all teams were even when we know thats not true. That guy said Barnes prolly stole a lot of his thunder so now he can plan a press conference and get a lot of buzz from it. Thats just wishful thinking anyways
6/28/2007 9:39:18 AM
good thing for us, Tom can coach too!
6/28/2007 9:39:28 AM
Glennon to NC STATE!http://northcarolinastate.scout.com/2/655219.html

6/28/2007 3:23:11 PM
nice, love how tall he is, 6'6... TOB isnt fucking around
6/28/2007 3:28:33 PM
hell yeah - Red Tom is kicking some ass in recruiting. I can't wait until a few years from now when we have a team full of O'Brien's recruits and his system fully in place
6/28/2007 3:43:28 PM
Damn, the last couple weeks have been ridiculous for the Pack!Tom O'Brien = N.C. State Return to Glory
6/28/2007 3:46:38 PM
also got a commitment from a sleeper named Earl Wolfehe was supposedly big time at the camp last weekhe's a 6'0 190 lb ATH from Hoke County

time to reel in Manning and then go to work on Mattes.

RED TOM!
6/28/2007 4:19:06 PM
expect Glennon to move up the boards when Scout.com gets his film. He's the #5 Pro Style QB and a 4* on rivals but somethin like the #16 QB and 3* on Scout. The reason for that is because he didn't go to any Scout combines nor have they seen his film yet. Once they see his film, he should jump into atleast the top 10 and a 4*. This kid was/is invited to the Elite 11 QB Camp afterall....and about Earl Wolff.....that kid is stout. You should see the pictures of him over on scout....his legs are like tree trunks. He's 6'0 190 right now....his upper body could prolly hold another 10 lbs....he should be 6'0 200 atleast by the time he starts playin. He's got some of the thickest legs i've ever seen on a HS recruit.[Edited on June 28, 2007 at 4:24 PM. Reason : wolff]
6/28/2007 4:23:09 PM
^ Sounds awesome, thanks dood.

bwahahaha, and yall pick on hansen for looking like a douche?
6/28/2007 4:41:15 PM
