5/6/2007 10:17:22 PM
8hrs and a .671 Slugging PCTThe .671 slugging % is good enough for 2nd in the league behind Bonds. Pretty damn good.
5/7/2007 12:16:31 AM
From this morning's Denver Post......
5/7/2007 10:18:54 AM
5/7/2007 10:30:58 AM
well, let's not get too cocky josh. it's attitudes like that that'll get you [back] into heroine.
5/7/2007 10:52:09 AM
i'd love to get into some heroine right about now
5/7/2007 4:42:45 PM
Depends on if the heroine is hot though.. heroin on the other hand.
5/7/2007 4:47:24 PM
Wasn't he into crack, not heroine?
5/7/2007 5:11:32 PM

5/7/2007 5:12:44 PM

5/7/2007 8:09:35 PM
gets a kinda-ish "all star" mention in this article about clemens' dealhttp://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2863411
5/8/2007 12:41:52 AM
^lol what a great idea to look at...
5/8/2007 12:47:16 AM
5/8/2007 1:02:57 AM
you're telling me Ryan Howard is only making 900 g's. WOW. He is worth more than a MIL.
5/8/2007 3:03:33 AM
Only a matter of time.Hope he's got a support group ready for the offseason.
5/8/2007 3:26:34 AM
he doeshe'll be fine... ( I hope)
5/8/2007 9:58:50 AM
Ryan Howard better start hitting better if he wants a $20+ mil/year deal. As for Cano, this is only his third year so he's probably due for a new contract next year unless the Yanks resign him sooner. Depending on how this year finishes out for him, he could command some serious $$ considering the lack of quality hitting 2B.
5/8/2007 1:56:22 PM
He is up for arbitration following this year. He isn't a free agent until after 2010.
5/8/2007 1:59:04 PM
added Hamilton to fantasy team today
5/8/2007 5:51:12 PM
^how the hell was he still on the FA list?
5/8/2007 6:47:11 PM
sorted players by homers, he had 8 and the next closest had 4. didn't need an outfielder but hey, I'll take him... nobody was watching what he's done I guess.
5/8/2007 6:58:57 PM
You are in a terrible league if you were able to pick up Josh Hamilton at this point as a FA.
5/9/2007 12:57:57 AM
I drafted him in the next to last round.I also drafted Bonds in the late rounds.I have won in homeruns every week.
5/9/2007 7:27:13 AM
^I was very skeptical of Hamilton and what he could do at the beginning of the season, but thankfully I picked him up shortly after the first week of the season on one of my fantasy teams. He is now an everyday starter and I wished I had drafted him on all my teams. Bonds too.
5/9/2007 11:13:45 AM
I'm not skeptical of him!but then again, I've known him my whole life
5/9/2007 12:12:28 PM
I would take that team
5/9/2007 8:20:00 PM
Didn't the Reds only have to pay $50k to get him?
5/9/2007 9:01:39 PM
He's on the 15 day DL.....May 21 The Dayton Daily News' Hal McCoy reports Cincinnati Reds OF Josh Hamilton (stomach illness) took early batting practice Monday, May 21 but was held out of the game. "He's feeling better and looks a little better and is available to pinch-hit, but I didn't think he looked quite well enough to play," Reds manager Jerry Narron said. May 20 Hamilton was sent back to Cincinnati by the Reds on Sunday to be checked out by team doctors a day after he had been diagnosed with gastroenteritis.Advice: It is not known whether Hamilton will be available Monday when the Reds open a four-game series at home against the Washington Nationals. His comeback from alcohol and drug addiction has been one of baseball's most inspiring stories this season. He was named the NL's top rookie in April after hitting six homers and driving in 13 runs.
5/22/2007 3:12:39 PM
^haha i dont follow the reds outside of this thread but i just realized the raleigh connection between hamilton and the coaching staff. good stuff
5/22/2007 3:39:58 PM

6/1/2007 12:55:53 AM
bttt.... Just found this article. I truly respect Josh Hamilton for overcoming his addictions. This is a great insight to what he has had to face. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2926447
7/5/2007 5:56:27 PM
even though i've read and heard the story a dozen times already just this season, it still makes me smile that he found what he needed to get through things.
7/5/2007 9:15:19 PM
