I really dont think Cowher will take it but it's definitely worth a shot to offer it to him. All he can say is no. Who knows, we may get lucky.

^complicated scenario. What if Donnan takes us to a BCS bowl in 2 years? The big question would then be:Would the chin still step in?[Edited on November 29, 2006 at 1:16 PM. Reason : f]
11/29/2006 1:16:09 PM
Donnan would only be coach for 1 year

OkYou guys and all State fans are fucking stupid if taking a random interim coach for next year while waiting for Cowher seems like a good idea.I mean, beyond stupid, you guys are at a point where you better be tied up to a breathing machine. Why, if we were going to have an interim coach, would we have fired Chuck Amato.OH THATS RIGHTYOU'RE A FUCKING IDIOTLIKE STATEFANSNATIONSAND HALF OF PACKPRIDE.
11/29/2006 2:13:56 PM
^did you read the link? Even the author says the probability of that scenario happening is 1%, but they were just having fun[Edited on November 29, 2006 at 2:17 PM. Reason : .]
11/29/2006 2:15:51 PM
not to mention a big part of the point was to retain the suggested interim coach, something that i doubt they would want to do with Amato.
11/29/2006 2:20:47 PM
I dont think this Sandsanta kid knows anything about our coaching situation.ANYTHING or ANYONE is an improvement over Chuck. Donnan as an interim would be WONDERFUL for this place as our offense would actually score, we would be respected, have a good team and finally be able to compete knowing soon the big man is coming in.Anything is better than Chuck though THAT is why we kicked him to the curb because if there was another year of Chuck the donors were pulling funds, money would be gone and support for the team, administration and NC State as a whole would decrease at a tremendous rate.THAT is why we got rid of Chuck and if you cant begin to understand that or why we needed to fire him then you may just need to look into treatment for downs.

"What’s your reaction to being at the top of the NC State search?First of all, let me just say I have great admiration and respect for coach Amato and what he’s done since he went down there. I’m very flattered to hear some of the things that have been coming out, but I’m not a candidate. I have a job here and my focus really is on this job right here, so you can take me off the list. I am flattered. It’s a super program and I’m sure that they’ll get a very qualified coach who’s going to walk into a good situation"From his talk to the media today
