I like Pork and Beans and The Greatest Man That Ever Lived. I really, REALLY wanted to like the other songs, but I just couldn't do it.
6/3/2008 3:06:59 PM

I went ahead and bought the delux CD for like $15. At first I only liked 2 of the songs, but the others have grown on me. I still don't care too much for the bonus 4 tracks at the end though.
6/5/2008 3:59:01 PM
i have no idea why i was thinking about this last night, but who else on here bought the first pressing of the maladroit cd just so could have the special serial number on the back?and who are the lame ones (myself included) who registered the number online?
6/6/2008 1:22:08 PM
^ ditto on both*sigh*
6/6/2008 2:24:55 PM

6/6/2008 3:54:08 PM

6/7/2008 3:12:13 AM
the only thing good about that Lion and Witch EP is the Japanese fan reviews in the liner notes
6/7/2008 11:22:23 AM
this album gets a big "meh" from me after a few listens. nothing special here, easily forgettable and probably wont get played again.
6/7/2008 7:56:46 PM
i have to second Vulcan91 - Miss Sweeney would definitely fall closer towards "guilty pleasure" than "good", but I enjoy it a lot. it's got that goofy, geeky epic-ness to it, and I really get into it. Pig will be interesting to hear live. i'm surprised both tracks aren't on the album. they are definitely better than songs like everybody get redhotchilipepperous and thought i knew (i like brian bell a lot, but i thought this was a deep blue something cover).

i'll go with the consensus that this cd is pretty awful.
6/8/2008 12:16:44 PM
they're reviewing this on sound opinions todayshould make for some funny lines, but you never know, crazy ass derogatis might like it
6/14/2008 3:09:06 PM
ahahaha, called itderogatis thinks "heartsongs" is better than "in the garage"
6/14/2008 4:53:10 PM
i think it's a pretty good album. absolutely no comparison to blue album/pinkerton or anything like that, but for what it is it's a pretty good album. way better than make believe, but that isnt saying much. it's stood up over several listens so far though. the greatest man that ever lived cracks me up every time at how many different musical styles he crammed into one song.
6/14/2008 7:00:35 PM
^ get some mike patton shit
6/14/2008 8:54:33 PM
Dillinger Escape Plan's album with mike patton was pretty sweet.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=hw94IdIxsyM1st grade Rivers is excited to be wearing his Green Album t-shirt to school
6/18/2008 7:27:24 AM
best part of first video was when rivers goes over beverly hills and i realized that song had worked its way into my head's catalog despite my best efforts 2nd video was awesome. interesting that they are gonna do creep. too many people with acoustic guitars though, its feeling a bit too hippy, i think it needs more people beating on random makeshift percussion instruments and kazoos.
6/18/2008 2:27:22 PM
It's kind of dumb that they are doing it as a radio call-in contest. The die hard fans are missing out while random people who will probably be hearing El Scorcho for the first time at the Hootenanny are in.
6/18/2008 2:51:58 PM
LOL WTF http://www.spinner.com/2008/06/25/weezer-get-trapped-in-the-office/

lol who requested this be bumped? I swear to god it wasn't me.Whoever it is, I hope it was for the news of Pinkerton Deluxe and not the news of Album 7 (both of which are happening)
7/20/2009 11:33:09 PM
well here's weezer covering some shit to not waste the bump (it wasnt me either)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a_8GNaEVCPU&fmt=22it's nice to hear a voice not autotuned anyway
7/20/2009 11:38:09 PM
^^ i am super stoked for the deluxe edition of Pinkertonnow if only they would release a new DVD like they did with the release of the deluxe edition of the blue album......
7/21/2009 1:08:41 AM

7/21/2009 1:16:49 AM

^^ it struck me a few years ago how pathetic Karl Koch's life ishe sits around in his apartment all day waiting for Weezer to do anything interesting and then updates their websitethat's it
7/21/2009 12:58:31 PM
seems like a pretty easy job to meget to be almost part of the band and just go along for the ride all the time
7/21/2009 1:00:46 PM
I bet it was awesome during the RWA yearsNowadays, not so muchPlus, I think Karl had a band or a label or something a few years back. I don't think his life 100% Weezer-centric.[Edited on July 21, 2009 at 1:03 PM. Reason : ]
7/21/2009 1:03:03 PM
weezer.com used to be my homepage many moons ago i would love to slip Karl some truth serum to see how he really feels about the band now, seeing as how he's been with them since the beginning
