I forget if it was mentioned before, but how much was this project going to be?Also, I've never seen an extension cord like that before (all coiled up). What function does that serve?
10/18/2006 11:43:33 PM
because matt is a tard and did that thing wrong so its all knotted up , i was a bad supervisor
10/18/2006 11:49:43 PM
i still have no idea how i knotted that bitch up that bad, and the garage is costing less than the 30,000 dollar quote we were quoted before. i'll just put it that way.
10/18/2006 11:54:36 PM
haha... I think I've seen something similar on a construction site, but never knew it's purpose.Garage looks like it's coming along well. Keep us updated. I assume you plan to use some kind of wood siding for the exterior?
10/19/2006 12:23:56 AM
prolly gonna do vinyl. oh and the cord was SUPPOSED to pull right out, but i didn't do it right [Edited on October 19, 2006 at 12:38 AM. Reason : .]
10/19/2006 12:37:54 AM
10/19/2006 10:25:31 AM
^ yup thanks for the clarification.
10/19/2006 10:38:07 AM
^^ah ok, thankswouldn't it be easier to have it on a spool of some sort?
10/19/2006 12:46:45 PM
spools cost money.
10/19/2006 1:24:36 PM
and most spools don't hold really long extension cords. I have always used that trick for the longer cords instead or wrapping them around your arm and stuff because, as mentioned, they are so much easier to get undone if you put them away right.
10/19/2006 7:17:35 PM
i got a coiple 4 doolla spools and been loving em ever since
10/19/2006 7:52:26 PM
but spools take time to wind up and unwind.this is real fast to do up . . . just reach through the loop and pull another one out to store it and just pull on the end to unravel it.
10/19/2006 10:19:11 PM
nigga needs to post some pics
10/22/2006 4:46:20 PM

10/22/2006 6:32:15 PM

10/22/2006 11:46:34 PM

10/23/2006 2:40:48 PM

10/23/2006 2:54:38 PM
so we got a lotta shit done tonight, 69 was ballin while i was at work, then i came and slowed everything down to a regular pace far wall with window hole 69 he likes nailing some studs, get it, nailing some STUDS? corny southern4x4 and our friendly neighborhood crackhead chad helped out tonightmore crackhead and 69 and southern4x4we got the big lvl beam up tonight also, it's large. also got the roof trusses in today and we turned the last corner on the major framing and finished all of the seal plates on top [Edited on October 24, 2006 at 2:00 AM. Reason : .]
10/24/2006 1:56:43 AM
so we got the smaller lvl beams in and 4 roof trusses! i'll get pix tomorrow.
10/24/2006 11:36:56 PM
so it's a little past tomorrow but here are the picturesshot from the houseside shot of the garagefrom the inside up of the trusseslvl beamsand lvl beams and trussesthe rest of the trusses are going up next wednesday!
10/27/2006 6:45:07 PM
looks really good, how much of this kind of thing have you guys done before? are you just figuring it out as you go or is this familiar territory?
10/27/2006 7:39:54 PM
Hey Matt tell Lee the xj would make a great addition sitting beside the garage
10/27/2006 10:52:21 PM
haha, i'm sure u'd like that. and ^^ 69 has done a lot of this before. I haven't, but i'm learning from him. not sure if that's a good or a bad thing
10/28/2006 1:22:49 AM
im assuming you plan on getting a lift, given the 11 ft ceilings.
10/28/2006 8:11:51 AM
ok, i take it all back. its looking pretty good
10/28/2006 11:01:10 AM
aha i'd love a lift, but we'll hafta see about that. with the high ceilings we do have that option though. options are nice. ^ thanks a lot man I'm liking what i'm seein also.
10/28/2006 11:13:26 AM
y didn't you center that window . . . it looks funny offset
10/28/2006 9:22:42 PM
it will be centered once the roof is on. there is a 4 foot overhang over the apron of the garage. it will look like it should.
10/28/2006 11:18:05 PM
is this a 2 or 3 car garage?
10/30/2006 11:59:37 AM
Very few full height lifts would fit with 11' cielings. Most require around 12'1"-12'4".
10/30/2006 1:27:13 PM
even then you wont have shit for room under a fullsize truck/suv unless you are 5ft tall. and then your arms aint long enough...
