it's been tough considering i came out of undergrad with a BS in marketing but i've picked it up quick. May have a short stint in Atlanta early 08.

Well after college I went to work a pharmaceutical company in Rocky Mount. Commuting to there from Cary finally wore me down plus the company didn't treat their employees well so I went to work for consulting firm. I consulted for a couple of other pharmaceutical companies including a start-up company north of Boston but I got tired of living out of a suitcase and never seeing my girlfriend.

So now I am working for a medical device company in Durham called bioMerieux for about a year and a half now. My girlfriend of 2 years and I are engaged and getting married in October.

A long departure from the parties on Gorman street and the Wolfline. I still can't break the habit of reading this site but I don't post as much.

I also worked for bioMerieux, but only for about 4 months in 2006. I work at Verizon Business writing networking software and writing enhancements to an app a lot of the engineers and sales people use.

Also as a hobby I work at ParacleteXP (the indoor skydiving place in Raeford, NC). It's the biggest/fastest one in the world.

i want to brag, even though i never left. don't tell the new school

ashy to classy. and 20 months sober. one check posting away from the end of probation, and no criminal charges lurking.

in other words, for the first time in like 5 years i have no legal problems to speak of

that was before i really started mine. that was back when i was a pothead and big time drinker and rarely touched anything else.

its unfortunate that the "pothead and big time drinker" days are what i consider the phase before my "wild and crazy" days. but thats how its written in history, i suppose.

actually, now that i'm back on the path, sometimes i'm glad that i went so far off. at first i was all worried about the massive debt i took on (luckily, NONE of it was on paper. it was pretty much a huge sum to each parent) and that i'd owe forever. but now the only bad thing i have to show for it all is the time i lost.

the positives are all the lessons i learned at the various rock bottoms i encountered. which are things that are a lot worse if they get you when you're older. in other words, i'd rather be someone who was an addict in his college years than the 40 year old alcoholic professional who beats his kids and gets his house foreclosed on and shit and gets left by his wife.
