I love football and basketball hands down above soccer, American through and through..so dont think I'm "cramming it down your throat or anything"...I just dont get the uproar about hating soccer. Rugby kills football in the "toughness" category. I don't even think you can logically argue that it doesn't.

Football is still a lot more "physical" than soccer, but football is also a lot more physical that almost every other sport. I'd say football is on par with hockey in terms of "physicality". More hits in football, but you're on fucking ice skates when you get leveled in hockey...and you can get slammed up against the boards (not to mention being wacked with a stick or a puck AND you frequently get in fight fights).

Soccer is as rough/physical as baseball or basketball. And the skill level and conditioning required to play soccer is at the top of all sports.

It's okay to not like soccer. Just like some people don't like baseball/basketball/football/etc. But to actually argue that's it's not a physically demanding game and a great sport just shows your ignorance. I don't like baseball, but I understand that hitting a 90mph curveball is probably one of the hardest things to do in sports, and I respect that.

There is more continuous "physicality" in soccer than in those sports...but you still have hard fouls and guys like Allen Iverson (not anymore) and D-Wade go the basket with reckless abandon. Not to mention guys like Shaq who can break you in half.

I probably shouldn't have put baseball in there. Because about the only time that sport gets "physical" is if a runner tries to bowl over the catcher or two outfielders don't call for the ball and run into each other...or you can get beaned.
