Some folks on PackPride said that C-F's capacity would be under 60k. I've heard that it will be between 61-62k seats. Anyone know the real capacity? Per Murphy Center employees, it will be between 61-62k, but something was announced on 850 Buzz that it will be 58k. I am confused now.
8/9/2006 12:09:34 PM
we probably won't really know till the first game of the season. or the first big game. i thought our permanent seating capacity for the stadium with the vaughn towers was somewhere between 53-53,800. now add on over 7k with the NEZ and take away 1,000 or so grass hill and the few people that sat in the balcony of the old field house and you've got perhaps right under or right at 60k. i wanted it to be more.
8/9/2006 12:15:11 PM
yea me too. I was hoping atleast a few hundred over 60k

you must also look at the playing time option. Some of the more consistent powerhouses might have extra shit for the players to have to go through like competition for positions, limited playing time, etc...

construction thread, right?

btttbecause it's been 3 days since the last photo update on webshots[Edited on August 10, 2006 at 7:57 AM. Reason : and i want more, but don't have time to go to the stadium]

I doubt anything has really changed much.atleast what you see on the outside. A lot of the work now is trying to finish things inside.[Edited on August 10, 2006 at 8:32 AM. Reason : ]
8/10/2006 8:31:38 AM
last i saw there was a solid amount of work to be done outside (pavers in dail plaza, etc). anyone have any friends working for TA loving?
8/10/2006 8:51:25 AM
yeah, they need to put down a bunch of pavers, and assemble the bleachers, and put up the video boards, and a bunch of other thingswhat I was saying is that a lot of the things left are "small" things that when taken together are a lot. But you wouldn't necessarily notice that big of a change with the completion of any one thing.
8/10/2006 9:03:39 AM
a poster on PP said that they had already started working on assembling the "permanent" bleachers. this was a day or two ago. those should go up fairly quicklyoh and in talking about recruiting, if i was a highly touted recruit, one of the most important things to me besides the amount of playing time i could get would be how much the girls at the school like to suck penis, but hey that's just me. it's going to be frustrating for nez people if the scoreboards don't get up in time =X
8/10/2006 9:31:25 AM
well i'm leaving school . . . prolly gonna swing by and check things out on my way home[Edited on August 10, 2006 at 10:03 AM. Reason : meh, I didn't have my camera so I justwent home. Maybe I'll swing by later.]

^throw us an update when you get home

reviving this thread...

I drove by this afternoon. No camera in hand, but damn, the stadium really does feel complete now. No more glaring weaknesses. They are about 1/2 way done framing the semi-permanent bleachers, and they are bricking in the "dail plaza" and working on the entrance. Wolf statute on the west side looks good too. only thing I did not see was any work being done where the new video-boards are being installed. I am sure they will be put up in a day or two once the process starts, and they are delivered, just prep work, and wiring underground for now.

8/11/2006 2:33:22 PM

8/11/2006 2:34:44 PM

8/12/2006 9:43:53 AM
^^ but seriously... THANK YOUI can't tell you the number of times I got into an argument with event staff over where they would let us in. For the wolfpack club tickets they always changed their minds about what gate we could use.
8/12/2006 9:51:58 AM
they may have changed it like once.the majority of the season was you could go in any gate because you had a non scannable ticket with a stub.
8/12/2006 1:43:36 PM
^^^haha, yeah, but I'm getting out of it all...how's ohio going? and you still got tickets for the games?

They have the steel supports up for both new scoreboards. They are in the process of paving the parking lot on the north side of the stadium.http://community.webshots.com/album/553218699nysHrx[Edited on August 17, 2006 at 5:25 PM. Reason : ]

8/22/2006 2:07:47 PM
does this mean that the bleachers that were set up in the corners of the stadium will no longer be there?
8/22/2006 2:28:16 PM
