tried to replace the fenders on my dad's junk

cleaned 1 car part of a 2 car garage

took a spare tire out of the 4runner through the passenger side opening

replaced diff input/output seals. got subframe/diff/TAs/axles all together, lubed, torqued.

put in ss brake lines up in the unibody where you can only get to it w/ the subframe out.

put new engine mount bolts in (old ones too short)

fought getting the transmission back in the vette for about an hour, only to find the pilot bushing/bearing was out of whack. got pissed off at my stupidity, cursed it a few times, and came inside.

^ no audible leaks so far. i'm gonna throw em on the jeep this weekend and make sure they're good. i ground em smooth and then siliconed the inner bead so i should be golden. we'll see though.

changed trans. grease in my tractor, adjusted the power jet a little bit, made a tube to go from the air intake pipe to the carburetor out of some old radiator hose, put a thermostat in the Ranger, charged up a couple of batteries

yesterday evening/night and today after work:

installed/replaced on the E30:
control arms/balljoints w/ delrin bushings
tie rods
front struts
front springs
camber plates
rebuilt all calipers
stainless steel brake lines

Still gotta bleed the brakes and put the wheels on tomorrow. i can't wait to drive it. VROOOOOOOOOM

haha. it was about even with my truck before. it'll blow it's freakin doors off now. traction through 2nd gear is a joke. breaking it loose from a 30-35mph roll is no problem.

oh, yeah... my 7.3 has a full banks kit. bigger turbo, exhaust, chip, etc.

it also weighs a good 2.5-3k more than my dad's 6.0. we were pretty even in a race before this.

this was his b-day present.

chip/tuner technology has come a long way in recent years and there is alot better stuff than the chip i currently have. i'm going to be doing something else with it sometime to get a little more. probably a custom tune from http://www.dptuner.com .

had the local stereo shop hardwire my Valentine 1. worth $40 not to have to fuck with it myself.

gonna wash it as soon as the coming rain passes, and i've been looking and trying to decide which exhaust I want to put on it, and how I want to handle boost control (electronic vs manual valve and steam gauge). the biggest criteria is which one is easier (and less intrusive) to install and remove, as I'll be doing it any time the car goes anywhere near a dealer.
