^ Yeah herb did own him, but if herb had done for us what hewitt has done for Gtech then we all would have loved the mousey bastard....Wait til next year, Gtech is gonna be sick. Black coach getting good black players.Come on Haith.

4/15/2006 7:46:36 PM
Hmf...dumb ass's III
4/15/2006 11:47:40 PM
it's dumb to get another ACC coach to come to our school
4/16/2006 8:51:05 AM
^explain that one
4/16/2006 10:25:15 AM
I think this guy could be great. If this is his dream job like everyone says, then that is definately a plus. I'd rather have someone who wants to be here and will remain committed than someone who will renegotiate his contract every year and demand to be paid millions of dollars to stay.
4/17/2006 7:55:50 AM
well, haith is now my top choice. gillispie aint gonna happen, so haith it is.i don't want kruger b/c i know the fans will turn on him regardless of what he does (a la sendek)
4/17/2006 10:39:28 AM
FRANK FUCKING HAITH LETS JUST GET A COACH SO WE CAN RECRUIT LETS GOHIRE THE MAN HE WANTS IT
4/17/2006 10:52:44 AM
no.
4/17/2006 11:03:38 AM
stfu [yes]
4/17/2006 11:05:10 AM
so why is this guy a better choice than the 3 better coaches we have on the list?he's my #4
4/17/2006 11:36:06 AM
mind refreshing our memories of who your first 3 are?
4/17/2006 11:37:21 AM
Gillispie, PJ, Krugerim not rebuilding again, fuck this young coach, fresh start shit
4/17/2006 12:42:08 PM
^All three of those are better coaches.Gillispie is still my favorite remaining guy...but again it looks like he's out of the picture.I don't care who we hire now. I'm not going to be excited about any of them. With Haith we have a proven assistant and recruiter who really wants to be here...but he's an extremely unproven coach and hasn't been anything great at Miami. With PJ and Kruger we get GREAT coaches who have shown that they can suceed in regular season and in the tournament...but both seem to be a little past their prime and don't seem to bring the "enthusiasm" that Haith would. It's a crapshoot now. Unless Fowler pulls a rabbit out of his hat, this is all a dissapointing set of events.
4/17/2006 1:14:26 PM
so basically, if we get Haith, we get an Amato for basketball. Guess that means lotsa tourney appearences, lotsa 2nd round exits, maybe an elite 8, and a 4th place finish yearly at best.
4/17/2006 4:33:25 PM
how are you making any kind of comparison between amato and haith?
4/17/2006 4:39:06 PM
that pretty much describes herb...
4/17/2006 4:43:18 PM
4/17/2006 4:48:02 PM
he dosen't seem to be a show boat like amato, i don't see him coming here and filling our heads with unrealistic dreams like amato did.
4/17/2006 10:51:28 PM
4/17/2006 11:14:57 PM
i mean really. there are people saying no to haith, pj, kruger, and pretty much everyone else right now thinking that suddenly jay wright is going to change his mind.
4/17/2006 11:22:04 PM
I think that Haith will be a great coach but i dont think he has been coach long enough to take the pressure of coaching at NCSU
4/17/2006 11:40:41 PM
BTTT I'd rather have this guy than freddie kruger
4/18/2006 2:03:09 AM
me too, fuck lonny kruger
4/18/2006 10:47:40 AM
agreed
4/18/2006 10:48:28 AM
for all we know he could end up being another Pete Gillen at this point. Do we want to try that?
4/18/2006 10:48:54 AM
pete gillen was a creepy leprechauni dont think you can compare the two
4/18/2006 10:57:38 AM
you can't compare him to pete gillen.gillen spent most of his years prior to uva at xavier (~10 years), in the fucking atlantic 10then he spent a few in the big east w/providence.kruger has spent most of his time in tougher conferences and he's done more in the postseason.
4/18/2006 11:02:47 AM
im talking about haith. he could end up being an NIT coach all the way through his career.
4/18/2006 11:10:25 AM
ohnevermind
4/18/2006 11:15:38 AM
bttt
4/26/2006 10:18:52 PM
4/26/2006 10:19:33 PM
seriously quit padding.
4/26/2006 10:20:15 PM
LOOK AT ALL THE AWESOME COACHES NC STATE HAS BANGING DOWN THE DOORS TO COACH HERE!
4/26/2006 10:22:09 PM
do you contribute anything to sports talk besides dry worn out sarcasm?
4/26/2006 10:27:07 PM
NOPE.BITTER ABOUT THE PAST, WHICH HE CAN'T LET GO OF.
4/26/2006 10:36:08 PM
its guaranteed we wont be as good next year as we are this year nowdont even try to bring that shit. if we got beilein, we would have been better off. i wanted us to get him or gillispie or calipari.they turned us down, along w/ everyone else. name one coach better than herb that we could possibly have here next year at this point.
4/26/2006 10:39:29 PM
[/thread]
4/26/2006 10:40:01 PM
^^DOES THAT WARRANT ENDLESS FUCKING SPAM FROM YOUR SORRY ASS ABOUT THE SAME GODDAMNED THING?
4/26/2006 10:41:33 PM
This is without Cedric Simmons. Nobody saw him leaving when Herb first left, then he declares, and we're like "oh damn we're fucked now" We'd be fucked either way. You cant compare herb/no herb based on next season alone because we're losing what should be the center piece of this team for the next two years.
4/26/2006 10:42:10 PM
YOU DIDN'T ANSWER MY QUESTION.
4/26/2006 10:53:29 PM
why are we still posting in this thread? if haith were really an option we'd have hired him before being turned down by beilein and lavin
4/26/2006 10:55:24 PM
Is that so? Has Haith definitely decided to stay at Miami? What is your source on this? After all this embarassment, I would be glad to get Haith here.... drat....
4/27/2006 4:04:31 PM
i'd be glad to get him toowe haven't contacted him. trust me, at this point i'd be elated if haith were the guy, but i would think if we were even considering him, we would have hired him 2 weeks ago.
4/27/2006 4:08:27 PM
Ya, if Lee would be willing to stand up to the ACC, we would have hired him like 2 weeks ago. I wish he would hire him, but at this point, it's not happening..They're working on giving him a raise also. He wolfpacked us without even being offered the job.
