I'm pissed. I had just about finished the creature stage, and I was gonna do one more evolution before I moved on... Did all this work on my creature, hit save, CRASH!

Not only did my creature not save, but I cannot load from my freakin save file!!! Spore hangs every single time!!! Basically I have to start over just to get to the damn tribal stage and I don't want to do that.

From what I hear, I'm not missing much.

You can start from the tribal stage at this point I believe. Just go to the editor and create the creature like it was, then start a new game at the tribal stage.

I do not understand fighting in space, my ship seems to have zero chance to win a fight... my allies also get killed in about 5-10 seconds, i even tried some of the cheat codes

This game sucks

"so let me get this straight

people are bashing this game bc in the 2 days since release theyve tried to install it on 4 computers, the first 3 being easy and the 4th requiring a phone call

microsoft does the same thing on streets and trips and ive used it 6 or 7 times by just saying "had to reformat"

of course the game is going to stop working in the future because just like every publisher it becomes inconvenient to fund server space after a few years"

I just wanted to let you know, this is not why the DRM is pissing most people off (though I can't speak for everyone). The point is that the DRM will kill one of the activations anytime you need to:
1. Repair Windows in any way.
2. Make a hardware change.
3. If you're antivirus happens to go haywire due to the backdoor EA installs, and has to try and fix it or repair system files.

Also, unless EA no longer installs the backdoor, well, you have a backdoor that EA uses to gather information about your computer. That alone, isn't terrible, but it opens up the opportunity for malicious people to access your computer.

So, all of these instances you hear of people having problems installing it or it crashing does in fact kill one of the activations.

Also, outside of the Creature stage, the game sucks.

I agree with a lot of what you guys are saying...except this game is intended for 10+ A lot of the stuff being discussed here would be more entertaining to us then a little kid...so its really a broad target audience that will be hard to capture.

Yeah, that pissed me off. I kick ass the rest of the game, get to the space stage, and if you try and start a war with anyone, you are decimated

not fun

anybody still play this? I think I'll get more into over break.

Just noticed they also came out with a body parts expansion pack in stores.

This game turned out pretty much exactly how I expected it to from the moment I saw it being played like 30 years ago.

It's like 5 different games in one, but each is extremely shallow.
