Damn, this Nalbandian/Baghdatis match is great. 3-2 Balbandian in the final set.I thought I saw Kiefer going off at around 13 to 1 on my bookie's site. I might put a little bit down on Kiefer if he puts that bet back up.
1/26/2006 6:58:24 AM
Holy shit, what an amazing fucking match. I'm glad I'm on this horrible sleep cycle. Baghdatis comes back after losing the first two sets, after being down 4-2 in the fifth set and after a 20 minute rain delay when he was serving 15-15 for the match.I am officially a Baghdatis fan.
1/26/2006 7:49:43 AM
CYPRUS FOREVER !!!
1/26/2006 4:21:40 PM
did anyone else read baghdatis as baghdaditis? i saw it on espn and thought some poor soldier was entering a tennis match despite his condition
1/26/2006 4:46:06 PM
This guy is awesome
1/26/2006 5:57:20 PM
1/26/2006 6:47:02 PM
its actually a pretty slow court...
1/26/2006 7:27:40 PM
Haha, Hewitt is the one that was too slow.
1/26/2006 8:26:18 PM
Fast hardcourt, slow hardcourt, it doesn't matter. The thing to remember is that no one who wears capri pants will ever win a major outside of France.
1/26/2006 8:37:45 PM
How much of a chance does Kiefer have against Federer? Neither have been playing amazing tennis and Federer is certainly better. I'm thinking about putting a small play on Kiefer for a big payout.
1/26/2006 9:05:20 PM
federer, the ultimate tiebreak champion
1/27/2006 12:01:11 AM
Kiefer has given Federer difficulty in the past. The main advantage for Federer (besides being the tennis equivalent of Jesus) is that his total match time is about 6 hours less than Kiefers.Taking Federer is foolish tonight. The true line for this match should be about 9.5 to 1 odds for Kiefer, so if you can get better go for it...Ill say Federer in 4 sets (one of which he wins in tiebreak).
1/27/2006 12:32:39 AM
yeahhh for an unseeded greek making the final of a grand slam [Edited on January 27, 2006 at 12:37 AM. Reason : .]
1/27/2006 12:37:26 AM
Well he's from Cyprus... but Greece is trying to adopt him. They made him man of the year a couple of weeks ago.His girlfriend is a flat out smoke show.
1/27/2006 12:40:09 AM
Yeah, my book had it at 13 to 1 yesterday, it's down to 10 to 1 today. My friend said that it was 7.5 to 1 on Bodog.
1/27/2006 1:41:25 AM
now federer kiefer[Edited on January 27, 2006 at 3:47 AM. Reason : aussie]
1/27/2006 3:46:00 AM
damn no tennis fans up now?
1/27/2006 3:57:06 AM
shiiit
1/27/2006 4:27:02 AM
It was a good match. I can't really say Kiefer had too much of a chance. The match Sunday is going to be a joke. Like the Sampras/Roddick hype back in the day when Pete took Andy to clinic. I'll likely be up tomorrow night/morning watching the women's final. Now that bith Martina and Maria are out I don't really know who to cheer for.
1/27/2006 7:33:15 AM
the one that looks a little like hayley joel osment
1/27/2006 7:50:16 AM
^x6 if you know anything about cyprus, it's that everybody there considers themselves greek or turkish before they consider themselves cypriotsalso, we need pics of said smokeshowhere's another link to an espn baghdatis story for the hell of ithttp://sports.espn.go.com/sports/tennis/aus06/columns/story?id=2308012[Edited on January 27, 2006 at 12:12 PM. Mauresmo is now a 2 to 1 dog.
1/27/2006 6:35:22 PM
WOOHOO, MAURESMO!!!I'm glad the game went past one set, I don't know if I would have won the money on the match had Hardenne retired in the first set.I definitely won $360 on that $40 bet for Mauresmo to win the tourney.Told ya she'd destroy Hardenne, rally.
1/27/2006 10:36:16 PM
what happened to henin-hardenne? i saw her get down 0-1 in the 2nd set and i left...i just figured she lost, but he said it was an injury....sooo, what happened?
1/27/2006 10:44:50 PM
She was complaining of stomach pain and called her trainer. She tried to continue, but quickly retired, similar to the Clisjters match.
1/27/2006 10:59:58 PM
Well she finally didn't choke and won a Slam.
1/27/2006 11:10:43 PM
Mauresmo must have cooked some of her special French cuisine for Justine prior to the match.
1/28/2006 12:16:08 AM
i'm lookin forward to this federer/baghdatis match. logic says federer will run away with it, but baghdatis has been playin so well, maybe at worst it'll be a good match, and at best, maybe an upset...stranger things have happened, and federer has looked shaky for a lot of the last few matches he's played
1/28/2006 12:59:58 AM
I think Baghdatis has a chance. Not a great one, but a chance nonetheless.
1/28/2006 3:23:10 AM
yes this is my thought as well.....i like federer, but i think i'm on the baghdatis bandwagon for this one
1/28/2006 3:43:59 AM
Holy shit, Federer is only -800 for the match. Baghdatis is +550.I might put my whole account on Federer.
1/28/2006 4:36:23 AM
what does that mean in tennis betting terms
1/28/2006 8:51:45 AM
Damn, I'm flopping back and forth on this Federer match. I think he'll run away with it, but I really want to see Baghdatis win. Might put a bit on Baghdatis, just to make things fun.
1/29/2006 12:56:15 AM
usually 3:30 is past my bedtime but im thinking that Baghdatis will put up a fight so im staying up. maybe its wishful thinking but at least i got some copper tops to watch the match.
1/29/2006 1:41:55 AM
espn2 is warming people up w/ some quality ping pong action
1/29/2006 3:19:46 AM
i want to suck federer's penis i heard its HUUUUGEEE
1/29/2006 3:28:57 AM
haha
1/29/2006 3:30:22 AM
i'm predicting a lot of "quiet pleases"
1/29/2006 3:49:07 AM
Come oooooooooooooooooooooon!!!!Baghdatis is looking great, Federer looking more than beatable. I'm liking Baghdatis' forehand so far and Federer really seems off.One time!!!!
1/29/2006 4:09:05 AM
Damn, Tennis Jesus woke up and is running train on Baghdatis.
1/29/2006 6:03:19 AM
Good run though. I hope to see this young Cypriot keep up this great tennis
1/29/2006 2:34:14 PM
But did he really lose?
1/30/2006 1:32:04 AM
BoobsR_gr8
1/30/2006 1:34:10 AM
I'd smash that like Sampras.
1/30/2006 1:35:29 AM
federer looked really vulnerable the first two sets but in the end dominatedthere really isn't going to be new contender story like sharapova winning wimbledon as long as he's aroundpretty weak grand slam all the way around especially on the women's side but at least it's the australian since none of it is live for us anyways[Edited on January 30, 2006 at 1:44 AM. Reason : k]
1/30/2006 1:42:11 AM
Fuck it, let's go with the Federer Slam this year.
1/30/2006 1:55:24 AM
Ummm, the Australian Open WAS broadcast live. And it's not that the women's draw sucked, it's just that there is no one player that is head and shoulders above the competition like Federer is in the men's draw.
1/30/2006 1:58:32 AM
Yup...it's Federer...and everyone else. Roger Federer will pass Sampras's 14. It's only a matter of time.
1/30/2006 2:01:04 AM
