Wins ARE INDEED wins. When you're 11-19, you take whatever wins you can get.FINALLY back to .500 for the first time since the 4-4 record forever ago. Thank you God; that's eight in a row with Wang scheduled to go against Seattle tonight. Keep it rolling, PLEASE GOD, keep it rolling.[Edited on May 16, 2005 at 9:51 AM. Reason : PAGE 5]

20-19 and OVER .500 for the first time since EARLY April and a 3-2 record!! THANK YOU GOD...geez. Thank you God; that's nine in a row with Pavano scheduled to go against Seattle tonight. PLEASE GOD, let's keep stringing them together!

I hope you guys win your next 2. Actually, I'm praying for it. It'll be nice for Pedro to break the streak. What is your guy's rotation for this weekend (although this series is really the 3rd most important one for the Mets in the next week)..i want to make a subway series thread but don't feel like dealing w/ the jackasses[Edited on May 17, 2005 at 10:15 AM. rotation not surealso, i dont think Torre knows the lineup yet against the Mets since so many of his players are starting to perform really well. with bernie's grand slam last night that put him back in the mix since he was only every other game or so. the rookie cano (sp?) is on fire as of late but since he is only a rookie he may be left out for veterans. giambi, who the hell knows what'll happen with him. unfortunately its all still a toss up i think.[Edited on May 17, 2005 at 10:32 AM. Well we've got Pavano and Mussina closing out the Seattle series, and Brown scheduled to go game one against the Mets. That should be interesting. I wonder which Brown will show up -- seven-run first Brown or seven-inning shutout Brown. After that, it'll probably be Johnson and Wang for games two and three. But who knows if Torre wants to give that rookie Henn another shot. I don't know that a Subway Series is necessarily the best place to throw a rookie for his second start, but Joe's the one with 1,800 wins, not me. But it's probably Johnson and Wang; I'm just speculating with that stuff about Henn.

FYI we have Pedro for sure on Friday. If Zambrano has to relieve Ishii tonight then it will be Zambro Sunday and Benson Saturday. If Ishii is alright tonight then Zambro will pitch Saturday and Benson Sunday. You guys have announced Brown, Randy, and Pavano it looks like...
5/17/2005 3:23:20 PM
Giambi blooped one in for a 5-game hitting streak. Yanks up 2-0 on seattle in the bottom of the second. Pavano perfect through 5 batters.
5/17/2005 10:35:33 PM
10 in a row baby
5/18/2005 2:16:40 AM
fuck yeah, knew the boys in stripes would come through it sooner or later
5/18/2005 2:27:47 AM
Thank you Lord...Pavano pitches a five-hit, complete-game shutout to push the win streak to 10.Sitting at 21-19 -- two games over .500 for the first time since we were 2-0. Giambi picks up a few hits including a home-run. A-Rod hit his league-leading 13th homer. We've got Mussina going next to finish up the series with Seattle.PLEASE GOD keep it rolling.
5/18/2005 10:48:10 AM
Pedro is not going to pitch against us friday night...so if we beat Moyer, we should have a good chance to make it 12 in a row on friday in New York.

Before you start worrying about taking 12 in a row. You better worry about getting 11 in row.
5/19/2005 11:00:29 AM
Damn Seattle for snapping the streak at 10.But that's OK. Still sitting above .500, and we've got what should be a really exciting series this weekend with the Mets. Please God let's just focus on winning so we don't have to run off double-digit win streaks to get above .500 thanks.

Took two of three from the Metropolitans this weekend. It was ugly, but wins are wins at this point. Three against the Tigers, and then three against the Red Sux. Please God let's keep the wins coming. Ten-game win streaks are a lot more fun when you're not eight games under .500 at the start.

Dismantled the Tigers 12-3 last night. Good deal. Posada and A-Rod each hit two homers. Robinson Cano added his first major-league homer, and the team tallied six totals home-runs. A-Rod leads the majors in homers with 16 and RBIs with 46. Mussina improves to 5-2. Wang's up next, with Brown going tomorrow. That's three games over .500 for the first time this season. Oh please God let's keep the wins coming.[Edited on May 25, 2005 at 9:46 AM. Reason : ]

That was a nice ass kicking last night. I wonder if I pissed anyone off at the bar last night when I had the Yankees game put back on a big TV after it was switched to the NBA playoffs, so that I could continue to watch them on that TV...even though they were up 11-0 at the time, lol.
5/25/2005 3:17:28 PM
Wang tries to go 3-1 tonight. let's get it on!
5/25/2005 7:07:24 PM

Well it wasn't that great of a weekend, but that's all right. Given the state of the team three weeks ago, to be three and a half games out of first right now...well I'm fine with that. Still got four long months to go. Having won 16 of 20, and four of the last six still ain't too shabby. Got a couple days off now, so that should be good.

^ take things one team at a time. Would Tampa Bay worry about Baltimore too, or would they worry about passing the fourth place team? Boston was ahead of NY at the time, and we moved ahead ...... plain and simple.
5/30/2005 5:30:12 PM
now the tables have turned once again
5/30/2005 6:11:58 PM
gg Yankees...Lost two in the row to the worst team in baseball
6/2/2005 3:31:44 AM
Yea how the fuck do you lose to the Royals??
6/2/2005 3:48:17 AM
The same way the O's get swept by the Tigers and then take 2 of 3 from the Red Sox. It's just the way it is. The game is unpredictable.
6/2/2005 10:11:04 AM
I don't usually do this but this is too good to pass up.
6/2/2005 10:38:31 PM
the royals aren't that badi mean, their only 19 games back in their division and have a 16-37 record
6/2/2005 11:03:33 PM
I believe the last time the Yanks got swept by the worst team in the majors, they went on to win the World Series (2000, swept by Detroit and beat the Mets in the W.S.). But still, the Royals????
6/3/2005 10:24:33 AM
Yeah...bad series. Nothing you can say about it. Just bad. Had the lead in both games 1 and 2, but the pitching couldn't hold it. That can't happen. But it's OK...just one series. Oh well. It's over. Please God let's get it going again.
6/3/2005 10:47:53 AM
Oh Dear Lord, please make the losing STOP!Oh a happier note, we finally got the Direct TV MLB package at work, so now I can watch a Yankees game on every shift! (when they play at night at least) [Edited on June 8, 2005 at 9:40 PM. Reason : l]

well yanks got the uplift they needed last night. 12-3 final against the brewers. torre and tino got ejected in the 5th or 6th cause of an arguement over the check swing of a brewers' player. but hey, sometimes its good to get ejected cause it shows determination and the willingness to stand up for the good of the team. no doubt the ejections fired up the team more cause after that more runs were scored in the 12 run game.its been a tough, depressing road trip for the coaches, players and fans most of all. the yankees arent a "team" this year for some reason and i think that is affecting them a lot. they know they're not as close knit as they once were years ago. it sux but hopefully this game will bring them together since last night the bench looked a lot happier and a lot livelier. comradery and teamwork is what the yanks need to work on and once they get that down we'll be all set.
6/9/2005 8:30:48 AM
baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahahahahafuckin yanksmillions of dollars for an all-star team and would lose to my brother's t-ball teamgod they suck ass this year[/troll]

Cuz I've been too busy to really do much for a while, and I'm done now.And that was a hell of a game last night.Down 10-2, then down 11-7 and they said, "Oh that's no problem. We'll just score 13 runs in the eighth inning."Oh...ok. 12 hits, 4 home runs...including back-to-back-to-back for Sheffield, A-Rod and Matsui, each had more than one hit in the inning.Sheff went 4-for-6 with 7 RBIs...Jeter went 5-for-6. Crazy game. With all that said, it shouldn't take a 13-run inning to beat the fucking Devil Rays.

this is a little flash movie project I did, its only about a minute long....but i put a bunch of pictures to kind of highlight the season. enjoyhttp://student.uncw.edu/dpl7004/yankees.html
