The discussion is whatever you wanted it to be.

Why didn't you want to meet me in Knoxville, btw? I ran into Tyler Bray at some restaurant called "5". He was with some other Vol "legends" that I didn't recognize.

I asked her when he was going to commit, so she asked him what his dream school was and he responded 5 minutes ago that Kentucky is his dream school.
this is the most recent information you will ever get.
I told her to keep working him and she said she has been. hence the delay of the commitment

It has been awful and our student section is a lifeless joke. I watched them for a while on Sunday and they just fucking stand there. Sad.

if you're a current student who isn't familiar with the history of nc state bball, it's hard to get excited about games against teams like w&m and south alabama. i never really got into basketball until my senior year at state as i was more of a football fan just due to the exciting nature of tailgating and being in carter finley. our crowd will probably get a lot better for teams whose names the students recognize.

basketball is so much more fun to attend as a student than football. you can actually heckle individual players and coaches and get to them.

nowadays kids just want DJs and giant head cutouts to hold up. SMH

As a current student I can say that the atmosphere around football is leagues above basketball at state. There's no build up or suspense to the basketball games. The football games are intense, fun, and just all around a good time.

Basketball games occur in the middle of the week and with no tailgating. Add on that state fans (at least the students) tend to be less emotionally charged or excited about our sports teams (I'm not saying that we're apathetic, but you can look and see that teams around this area Duke, Clemson, and SC, care a lot more).

Also, heckling the players and coaches doesn't make up for the poor play, middle of the week games, or no tailgating. The giant head cutouts at least give the students who are interested in basketball something to look forward to.

Given all of that, I can see the in-conference games looking good again, assuming that we don't blow this season. Easiest way to lose an already fickle fan-base's support is to lose.

so basically, you like football games because you are drunk as shit all day?

you can tailgate for basketball games. just go drink some beers in the parking lot. GET CRAZY YO.

Man I think going to an ACC basketball game is miles above anything in football in the past 5 years save beating FSU or Clemson at home but I still had more fun storming the court after beating UNC and Duke. Tailgating is fun but I also like the fact that you don't have to wait a week to see another basketball game. The season tickets are much more worth it too. This is just going to be a down year.

sure...but hasn't the been the case for, like, the past 25 years?

disgaree about duke. yeah, they have the cameron crazies for basketball...but that's kinda it. don't get me wrong, they have a great basketball atmosphere. but they couldn't fill a 20k seat basketball arena. just look at their football attendance. they've had recent success and still don't really sell out wallace wade

well...i don't know anything, but it seems to me that if Bam is announcing tomorrow and signing in the early period, that would bode well for us. everybody has indicated that we seemed to be the favorite all summer and into the fall. so it stands to reason that if he did have a change of heart or was second guessing himself, he might wait until the spring signing period. i'm just guessing...and trying to be optimistic.

^agree. It sounds like it's UK but that doesn't make a whole lot of sense. People were saying expect a lot of rumors to swirl right before the commitment. I'm betting that it's still State.

Would definitely suck if it's not.
