HOW THE FUCK DID THAT GO IN?
6/15/2010 3:41:10 PM
incredible
6/15/2010 3:41:19 PM
6/15/2010 3:41:20 PM
it's the jujuni ball magic.
6/15/2010 3:42:28 PM
the ball was literally a foot from the endline. how the fuck did that go in?
6/15/2010 3:42:35 PM
bad positioning by the keeper but that curve was nasty haha.
6/15/2010 3:43:01 PM
keepers gotta protect the near post on that. but it was still a wicked shot
6/15/2010 3:45:48 PM
I kind of agree with the keeper. No way in hell he's going to make that angle, so do the best you can to cut off the pass.this keeper kinda sucks anyway. He's very slow.[Edited on June 15, 2010 at 3:47 PM. Reason : ]
6/15/2010 3:47:12 PM
^i disagree. a keeper absolutely cannot afford to let someone score on the near post like that. give your defense a chance to clear the ball on the pass.this game might open up, now that NK has to spread the field looking for an equalizer. flood gates might open up for brazil[Edited on June 15, 2010 at 3:49 PM. 6/15/2010 3:49:10 PM
HAHA, brazil's whole team was offside and no call
6/15/2010 3:49:25 PM
I'd take the 1-0 loss if I were them
6/15/2010 3:51:22 PM
^you think they can sneak a win against portugal or the ivory coast? i dunno, i think a loss in this group is pretty damning. if portugal or the ivory coast can get a draw with brazil, NK is done. my guess is that both ivory coast and portugal will play for the draw against brazil and for the win against north korea. if one of those teams succeed, NK is done.holy shit. north korean "fans" are actors from china? wow[Edited on June 15, 2010 at 3:57 PM. 6/15/2010 3:51:46 PM
The player who played the ball was still onside when the ball was kicked.I don't think any country is as insanely ran as North Korea.[Edited on June 15, 2010 at 3:53 PM. Reason : WTF ACTORS?]
6/15/2010 3:51:48 PM
ahaha Chinese actors
6/15/2010 3:52:44 PM
YOU PLAY...TO WIN...THE GAME
6/15/2010 3:52:55 PM
wow that was beautiful
6/15/2010 3:57:34 PM
Now the North Korean manager has to explain dancing to his team
6/15/2010 3:58:16 PM
great goal
6/15/2010 3:58:18 PM
That was absolutely textbook. Great ball forward, great run, simple shot to the far post.[Edited on June 15, 2010 at 3:59 PM. Reason : ]
6/15/2010 3:58:48 PM
can't believe they haven't found a way to put alves and maicon out there together
6/15/2010 3:59:14 PM
i'm really curious as to why the japanese born players for north korea would elect to play for north korea, having been outside of country's borders.
6/15/2010 3:59:22 PM
They were brainwashed at some point.
6/15/2010 4:00:43 PM
probably because he couldn't make the japanese team. Same reason brazilian players play on portugal team.
i can't imagine the japanese team being that much more difficult to make than north koreai mean, maybe the answer is that simple, but maybe it has some more nationalistic reasoning. much like rossi playing for italy over the usaand deco could probably have played for brazil, as far as talent's go. (at least, during the last world cup)[Edited on June 15, 2010 at 4:05 PM. Reason : ]

6/15/2010 4:14:49 PM
GREAT VICTORY
6/15/2010 4:14:50 PM
FUCKthere goes the (fantasy) clean sheet
6/15/2010 4:14:52 PM
all joking aside, that was a well executed goal.
6/15/2010 4:15:33 PM
that would be so awesome if they tied it up
6/15/2010 4:16:07 PM
wow. what a surprisingly competitive game
6/15/2010 4:18:38 PM
really good game by north korea, they're a much better team than people thought
6/15/2010 4:18:46 PM
Game of the cup so far.
6/15/2010 4:29:12 PM
There are a lot of second, third generation Koreans who live in Japan whose families tend to be loyal to North Korea. Mind you, most have switched sides to the South after things went from bad to insane up there. Playing for the North is also a way to "stick it" to the Japanese who tend to treat Northerners as a sort of second-class citizen.Glad to see the North scare up their group a bit. I'm sure the Dear Leader will be broadcasting their exploits and take full responsibility.
6/15/2010 4:30:46 PM
I was pulling for North Korea to tie it up. Their goal was clinical.
6/15/2010 4:57:37 PM
^^interesting.

id be more worried about slovenia packing it in for a draw
6/15/2010 5:59:11 PM
yeah but Slovenia would probably need a result against England to advance if they tie us... especially considering we'll be playing an already eliminated Algeria who they only beat 1-0
6/15/2010 6:56:35 PM
Algeria's already eliminated?News to me.
6/15/2010 6:59:01 PM
lol, don't tell me you're doubting your boys against Algeria now
6/15/2010 7:00:32 PM
I don't think slovenia will pack it in, they'll probably figure a win against us is easier than a win against england. Also, if they win against us, they are through to the next round, so I don't think they'll go totally defensive. If algeria loses to england, they have nothing to lose/play for, so i'm sure they'll just be playing to beat us. If they tie or beat england, they really still need to win against us to have enough points to advance.Basically, I think both teams will be going for the win against us, they have no reason to pack it in and play for the tie.
6/15/2010 7:04:04 PM
yeah, but they're not a super attacking side so their normal game plan might look like "playing for the tie" anyways. I say we come out guns blazing looking for goals early and fuck all that two defensive midfielder noise
6/15/2010 7:12:57 PM
^absolutely. in my opinion, you play to beat teams that you should beat. england was really the only match where playing for a draw made sense (and i still think we took the opportunities for the win when we had them). and considering how poor algeria's keeper's form looked, there is no real reason not to take many (even improbable) shots. not to mention, the US should be able to play an attacking game against weak opponent and still preserve the clean sheet.[Edited on June 15, 2010 at 7:26 PM.
