thanks man. We're looking to get a few more in the next couple weeks with Lo.Brown and Scott Wood. We also are trying to get in contact with Julius Hodge through his team in Australia to check in and say whats up to all the Wolfpack fans.

I was going to post a comment on the blog but since you're posting here, I wanted to tell you that you're doing an amazing job. The read on harrow was great and he looks like he's going to be a special kid. Starting next year, our point guard worries may start to fade away. At least it would be nice.

what i like most is the upbeat attitude of your site. i quit reading http://www.statefansnation.com because i couldnt take any more bashing of the school i am a lifelong fan of.

^ thanks guys. We really appreciate it. It's not just me, it's a team of guys that help the site run. But yeah as long as we keep getting visitors we'll keep working hard to bring you the best inside scoop on Wolfpack basketball that we possibly can.

some great vid put up on PP of Ryan Harrow. Not as good as one they put up this summer but still nice. To summarize, the kid can shoot, dribble, pass, and sometimes he's flashy. The only 2 things he doesn't do that John Wall does is turn the ball over like its his job (according to reports) and burn down the floor and dunk on people (according to the video). IMO, he sees the floor better, passes better, he's a much better shooter, and he scores more points than Wall. It also sounds like he plays pretty good defense, especially for someone as light as he is. So for anyone thats still thinking about getting upset if we miss on Wall, I advise you to get excited about Harrow instead. I'm fukkin impressed.

How upbeat can you be about generally uninteresting sports programs? That being said, SFN is still barely tolerable.

Pack Prospect Derrick Favors put up a monster performance this past weekend at the Inaugural Hoops in Overdrive Shootout. He had 34 points as South Atlanta beat McEachern 74-73. Check out the Highlights/Interview from the game.http://www.wolfpackhoops.com[Edited on January 8, 2009 at 2:36 PM. Reason : typo]

the problem w/ sfn is their entries just talk about how good their other entries are and then try to sound smart w/ some bullshit numbers. and they act like they know stuff that most people don't, but they don't know anything new, ever.sectionsix on the other hand is a great blog. intelligent use of statistics and not at all pretentious.]
1/8/2009 2:54:21 PM
^ yes, I agree sfn likes to link to their own fucking analysis like 100 times in the same entry to make the point that they've already made 100 timesSection 6 is a pretty good read as well

I just watched that GSK Invitational video for the first time. Leslie can really get up there. For a tall guy he has an amazing vertical.

Scott Wood cont his tear as he led Marion with 31 last night in a victory over Oak Hill 86-71. Lo Brown tore up Campbell for 34 on Tuesday for a 94-92 victory in 2OT. Word of God lost to Raenscroft last night 68-59. Leslie had 20 and Wall had 17.Cousins has had 29 and 19 in his last two games.WolfpackHoops.comhttp://www.wolfpackhoops.com
1/8/2009 4:03:17 PM
I'm excited how Wood has been playing this year. Are any more evaluations made this year by rivals or scout on the player rankings? [Edited on January 8, 2009 at 4:13 PM. Reason : df]

Good grief, these kids are putting up huge numbers. I'd like to hear more about howell although i believe he has been hurt lately and he has missed some pt maybe? anyway, thanks for the stat updates. i used to look everywhere for that stuff and i just couldnt find it. love the website.

rivals (very underappreciated imo) has some good video up of brown at the gsk.

I think the wolfpackhoops.com site needs to change the color scheme, reading that text on black background puts a hurting on my eye BALLS.
1/8/2009 5:39:17 PM
^ yeah, I love the site content but switching back from that makes me see black and white stripes everywhere
1/8/2009 6:03:09 PM
^ sorry about that guys....we're actually in the mist of working with a site designer and turning this into a easy to navigate, more organized, website. (and don't worry, the color scheme will be different)**we just talked to our source in the program and got some pretty interesting information andthere is a chance Derrick Favors was at the Florida game last Saturday.http://www.wolfpackhoops.com

ahahahahahahHe sure diced up that defense on that last drive of the game.
1/9/2009 10:41:32 AM
haha ok maybe we got a little ahead of ourselves on that one. What we meant was that Degand, AT TIMES, was able to use his speed to get into the lane and make things happen.
1/9/2009 10:53:57 AM
like turnoversgood for him
1/9/2009 11:04:38 AM
If you haven't seen Degand improving since the beginning of the season then you haven't been watching. He's worse right now than he was in the 3-4 games before he got hurt last year, but he's at least improving. ***note*** I'm not saying he's been awesome, he's just been improving a lot which I like to see.
1/9/2009 11:13:46 AM
^He did have his best game of the season against Florida, and has been slashing to the basket a little more each game, sometimes under control, almost like he was in his last few games last season. He also got to the line 3 or 4 times (and shot 100%), which is encouraging. And he only turned it over twice (i'm not sure if that last possesion was credited as a turnover or not.)***note*** I too am not saying he's awesome. I don't know about"dicing up the D on command", but he has shown some improvement since he's been back.Wait, isn't this thread about recruiting?

Wall is going to narrow his list down to 2, even though it's pretty much been 2 for a while now]
1/9/2009 2:21:02 PM
^really? We haven't heard that. If true, good find BigEgo. Looks like someone's going to have a broken heart b/c according to Duke's Chris Collins, they felt as if although trailing State and Memphis, that they'd be in it until the final day.
1/9/2009 2:43:35 PM
who says we're in his final 2? With our luck, it'll be Duke and Memphis. Then he'll do a complete 180 and go to UNC.

1/9/2009 3:51:38 PM
^^^^^Where did you read that?
1/9/2009 3:57:57 PM
I read that article too. Recruiting thread on packpride has a link to an article in which John Wall is quoted saying that he might narrow his list to two soon. Not really an official anouncement or anything, just him talking with an interviewer.
1/9/2009 4:05:23 PM
He has had a final 2 for a while now, it may not have been a public final two but a final 2 at that. Duke was never really in it, and there's reason to believe Baylor was never a serious threat.
1/9/2009 5:27:10 PM
so who is the final two
1/9/2009 5:48:01 PM
Speculation is us and Memphis. Seems like he wants Memphis but his mom wants State. So I think if we can put together a decent season OR get either Favors or Cousins and we'll land Wall barring his mom pulling a complete 180. Otherwise, Memphis has another amazing PG.
