Trump is increasingly beholden to congress though, between his russia connections and tax returns, congress is doing him some major favors. When they have to cash these in, they lose all their leverage, so they're going to wait for something big. But the power dynamic now is not in trump's favor. The major downside is when Trump goes down, he's going to take everyone he can with him.

I just watched his full comments unedited on the Navy SEAL and it's pretty stunning the lack of accountability he has. I've never seen a supposed commander in chief basically say he just did it because someone else gathered intel (directly said it was Obama who planned it and so he had to) so it wasn't his fault.

He also made some utterly bizarre statement about how his generals are the best in at least a few decades. Not sure he understands that generals don't really turnover on Jan 21 like White House staff does.

Being completely subjective, his speech was what you'd expect from the President. The SEALs wife moment was fantastic (though highly contadictory to the reality of what happened). I am not going to criticize his speech.

But the thing is, it's pathetic that people praise a president for being presidential. He still has the lowest bar in the history of politics.
