Dave Glenn has never been wrong, just ask him

If DG said that, I think he is missing the point. If John Swofford doesn't lock the ACC into a (comparatively) weak long-term TV deal while other conferences keep renogotiating better deals from theirs, we aren't having this conversation. Maybe the ACC sticks together and the market for TV rights goes back down, and he will be vindicated, but it certainly does not look like a deal from a position of strength.
11/30/2012 1:18:10 AM
S E C! SEC! lets do thisssss
11/30/2012 1:34:05 AM
you don't think ncsu would keep all the homegown talent if we were SEC? connor mitch for heisman you guys
11/30/2012 9:55:03 AM
"ACC" is the new big east....also State will never join SEC because NC is not south
11/30/2012 10:22:38 AM
IIRC, NC supplied for troops for the confederacy than any other state during the Civil War, so I don't really give a shit what some outdated ditty saysNC= South
11/30/2012 10:36:51 AM
@ Tim_Matty247Sources are indicating that the # B1G has approved # GT as its 15th member. Stay tuned... @ CFravel247 @ Clemson247
11/30/2012 10:42:39 AM
GT football actually fits in really well in the B1G (i think thats such a dumb abbreviation but i'll use it)3 yards and a cloud of dust for life!
11/30/2012 10:45:28 AM
Theyre saying UVA is next
11/30/2012 10:48:46 AM

11/30/2012 10:50:40 AM

11/30/2012 10:52:25 AM
UNC won't leave without Duketoo co-dependent and addicted to the drama
11/30/2012 10:56:26 AM
UNC to the Pac12 per @PigPen
11/30/2012 10:56:33 AM
Doesn't it cost millions of dollars to leave your conference? Where are these schools coming up with all of this money and how are they justifying the cost to the decision makers?
11/30/2012 1:03:31 PM
If everyone leaves there is a higher chance nobody pays.
11/30/2012 1:14:05 PM
Like when you go to a bar an order a ton of drinks with your group and then bounce after nobody owns up to ordering them?
11/30/2012 1:17:58 PM
GT isn't leaving. This is retarded.
11/30/2012 2:16:49 PM
GT isn't going to decide until after the conference game #sources
11/30/2012 2:48:51 PM
Fact: GT would have won the Big Ten this year.(lulz big ten football sucks)
11/30/2012 3:34:13 PM

11/30/2012 11:01:40 PM
^^ it was a joke, dumbass. But seriously, big ten football is just as bad as acc football.
12/1/2012 10:28:22 AM
It looks like that Kevin Jones guy may actually be a sports writer (appears to work for some DC news channel)...
12/1/2012 10:59:23 AM
he's a producer/bloggerdavid glenn and joe ovies both took turns dismissing him yesterday

12/1/2012 11:29:48 AM
^^ ah I see. Well, either he's going to be getting promoted soon for getting all these scoops or he is gonna get fired for reporting BS . He tweeted something about VT firing their OC and got called out on that too.
12/1/2012 11:37:19 AM
^^ please enlighten me on how awesome the big ten is this year.Yeah nebraska and ohio state have good records, but they didn't play ANY good teams. The bottom 6 teams in that league are awful. Big ten football is all hype and no results.
12/1/2012 1:12:05 PM
Michigan lost to App State/case closed]
12/1/2012 1:14:27 PM
Sounds reasonable
12/1/2012 1:29:21 PM
12/1/2012 1:40:40 PM
we need to be in the sec yesterday.it's kind of fucked up that this is the biggest test a university president can be put through, but this is the biggest test that woodson will have in his tenure.
12/1/2012 4:34:37 PM
If we get stuck in some abomination Big ACC East conference it will be a fucking tragedy. We need new coach Dave D to start dishing money and Escalades to these five star recruits, get the fuck in the SEC, and get a national championship or 6. Done and done.
12/1/2012 4:45:28 PM
^ what he said
12/1/2012 5:10:31 PM
FSU to the Big XII rumors are starting to heat up again... If true, it was nice while it lasted ACC. We'd need to seriously be considering a move to another conference. People want NCSU or UNC for the TV markets in North Carolina. I'd rather be the first team to be willing to go rather than the second.
12/4/2012 4:06:45 PM
SEC SEC SEC
12/4/2012 5:18:50 PM
^^ care to share your sources on that?
12/4/2012 5:24:51 PM
I just wanted an ACC championship while there was still an ACC
12/4/2012 5:40:21 PM
Nothing firm enough to really restate at this point. Just rumors from various folks that supposedly have "inside sources" and have been fairly reliable in the past.
12/4/2012 7:28:03 PM
12/4/2012 7:30:02 PM
Can if you like, but I stated they were rumors and nothing more.Curious what everyone thinks. If we had the chance to go to the Big 12, Big 10, or SEC is the consensus among fans that we definitely want the SEC? Is the Big 12 with FSU & Clemson a better place for us than the Big 10 if the SEC didn't come calling? Is a watered down ACC with more replacement teams a better option? I know ultimately it all boils down to money and TV markets... but I'm just curious where people stand on options that aren't the SEC.
12/4/2012 7:45:05 PM
Big 10 really isn't an option...so in your question, if the ACC were to fall apart and become Big East 2.0....SEC is obvious #1 for everyone. If they don't take us, then as a fan I'd actually prefer to stay in whats left of the ACC rather than go to the Big 12 (more local teams, better basketball), but I also want State to go wherever it can make the most money...if thats the Big 12, fine, I'll enjoy the later kickoff times.
12/4/2012 8:15:07 PM
12/4/2012 8:36:38 PM
just like how GT and UVA were supposed to be in the big 10 yesterday
12/4/2012 8:59:20 PM
^^ Nice that you're being a jerk after I clearly stated (twice now) that what I said before was merely rumors. Also, if I had a direct access to a reliable source, do you think I'd be hooking you up with that information on TWW? That'd be a quick way to lose access to said inside information.Again, in case it wasn't super clear the first two times. What I stated about FSU is merely rumor at this point. The fact that it came from multiple people that, to my knowledge, aren't working together to corroborate the information does not make it fact. The rumor remains a rumor. At the point in time it no longer is a rumor, I will then post a link to factual information and not attempt to mislead anyone by stating that a rumor is only that, a rumor.[Edited on December 4, 2012 at 9:02 PM. ^ Careful, if you don't have facts to back up every statement you make here, you have to not only tell everyone its just a rumor, but you have to have a disclaimer on your post letting folks know what a rumor means.
